Very clean and cute home. Owners were very helpful with information on things to do and places to go. Best part of vacation was the manatees coming up to dock. They hung out for a while and were so playful and cute.

Perfect home for us to stay as a family of 5, husband, wife, 15, 13, and 7 year old. They loved the pool and kayaks provided. The canal was beautiful, neighbors were nice and we saw a couple manatees right on the canal next to the home. Marathon is great to stay one place and travel up or down the keys and come back to a great middle home.

Everything you could possibly want in a vacation home!

Where do I even begin? We had a wonderful, relaxing. and fun time with our daughter and son-in-law. Lemon Key Cottage is BEAUTIFUL, immaculate, spacious, beautifully decorated and outfitted with everything you need (and then some) to begin enjoying your vacation from the first minute you arrive. The bedrooms include a HUGE en suite with a lovely reading couch as well as a good sized bedroom right across from another full sized bathroom. There is a third full sized bathroom with a washer and dryer located adjacent to the screened in lanai which particularly handy for changing after using the pool. The property is absolutely lovely with potted palm plants, lime trees and palm trees overlooking the pool. The back yard of the property is right on the canal and we enjoyed hours of fishing with the fishing equipment provided by the owners. We caught a small barracuda, some snappers and even a small tarpon, right from our back yard! There is also a large gas grill in the back yard but we were far too busy having a good time to even think of cooking!The pool is very pretty and a good size. There is plenty of seating with lounge chairs and a large sectional outdoor sofa with very comfortable cushions. The pool area can be lit up at night and the view of the stars from the back yard is amazing, The neighborhood is very quiet but the neighbors we did meet were very friendly and gracious.We can't wait to return next year!

Beautifully Decorated Home in a Great Location

We spent a memorable week at Lemon Key Cottage in Marathon, Florida to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with our teenage son. The home was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with a spacious layout and some of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on. The updates inside the house were impressive—modern, stylish, and very thoughtfully done. The private pool was a wonderful place to relax (though a touch cool for our taste), and we loved the peek-a-boo ocean views from the house. The location was excellent—close to shopping, great local restaurants, and just a short drive to Sombrero Beach. The property manager was helpful, and the hosts were always responsive and friendly whenever we had questions. While there were quite a few instructions posted around the house, we understand the owners are just trying to preserve the home’s quality. It did require a bit of extra mindfulness on our part, but overall, it didn’t take away from our experience too much. We were glad we visited early in the season, as the thermostat was locked at a fixed setting—it was a little warm at times, but the ceiling fans throughout the house helped keep us thankfully cooler and more comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet, well-kept, and stylish home in the heart of the Keys, Lemon Key Cottage is a lovely choice.

Perfection!

Lemon Key Cottage was amazing! The location cannot be beat: close to the ramp to drop your boat in, straight shot out to go fishing, close to Publix market, Walgreens, dive shops, etc. The house is beautifully renovated and we had not a single issue with check in (nor throughout our stay). The only small problem I had was that the bed was way too comfortable and I did not want to get out of it for early morning fishing with my family. Mary and Jeff were very communicative and kind. I really appreciate them sharing their beautiful home!

2 week stay

Beautiful house with a gorgeous inground pool. Were fortunate to have met Jeff and some of his family and they were very welcoming and wonderful people. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need including plenty of pots,pans,dishes,etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay here again in the future!

My family (2 year old son, husband and I) had the best time in Marathon and at this home. It was better than the pictures gave it credit and there is so much to do for littles in and around Marathon. The pool was warm and we spent so much time in there everyday. Would highly recommend staying here!

Couldn't of asked for a better stay. The house was immaculate, the beds were very comfortable, and the poo; was just the right size for swimming Jeff was very quick with any response. If we stay in the Keys again, this will be the first house I would consider. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful!!!

House was exactly as pictured. Very clean on arrival with all needed items to get my vacation started. Owners very responsive to questions. Location is fantastic. Close proximity to grocery stores, dining, and beaches. Pool clean and everything on the property was in excellent condition. Both beds were very comfortable with nice linens. Would definitely rent this home again if I return to this area.

This was the perfect home for our family of 4! It was like home away from home… beautiful house with everything you could possibly need, amazing backyard, and convenient location to everything! We spent a ton of time in the pool and loved kayaking out of the canal into the flats and exploring… we found a huge starfish and a baby nurse shark in one of our adventures! Neighbors were awesome… we went out fishing with Eddie twice and he was so patient with our young boys and put us right on top of fish! Jeff and Mary were awesome hosts! Will definitely stay here again when we return to marathon!

Great Rental!

Great stay at the Lemon Key Cottage. Clean, modern, and a wonderful layout. The owners are amazing, extremely responsive and are always there to help you make your trip to the Florida Keys extra special. You get the feel you're staying at a friend's house. We brought our jet ski and the home had everything we needed to accommodate all our on and off the water activities. A+ rental for sure!

The Hosts for this place are wonderful and very responsive. the place has everything thing you need and some additional supplies left by other guests or the hosts but all well organized. we enjoyed to beautiful home decor and cable. the pool is beautiful and perfect temperature and siting in the outdoor furniture or lanai was the best. we also enjoyed morning walks and how close everything was but not so close that it was still quite. Another Thanksgiving week in paradise

The property was just what we expected. Easy access to the ocean and quiet neighborhood.

We were on a family vacation and needed a boat dock. The property had all the amenities for a great stay. The kids loved the pool and the beds were very comfortable. Manatees swam up to our boat in the canal regularly.

Fantastic

We had an amazing time staying at Jeff and Mary’s home. Everything was smooth from the beginning until the end. The home is even better than what we expected. It literally has every thing you could possibly need. We enjoyed sitting outside listening to music around the pool. The kayaks were a lot of fun! I really liked paddling to the end of the inlet and watching the sun go down! The beds were super comfortable and we had plenty of room to mover around. We made some amazing memories and cannot wait to come back!
