House was very spacious and well kept, the pool and hot tub were serviced twice during our stay insuring cleanliness. Would definitely stay at this location again, the neighbors beside us (left of house) were super friendly and gave us some great local advice on places to check out. Great spot for sunsets

Perfect family vacation in Marathon

Our entire family of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is perfectly located and fully stocked with all we needed. The pool and pool area were great and we were able to launch kayaks and paddle boards from the dock. In addition, the view is stunning!

Marathon Beauty

Our extended family loved our stay here in Marathon. It is a 3-minute walk to Sombrero Beach, but you will find yourself not even wanting to leave this beautiful property. Amazing water/ocean views that can’t be beat, and the house is well adorned, clean, and done very well. House is private and quiet even though Publix and the conveniences are down the street a bike ride away. Loved our stay and house is even better than the pics!

House is nice, listing is misleading

We booked this property with our parents. We had 4 adults and 4 kids under 13. We booked it based off the listing details and photos. The top things were were looking for were beachfront, next to Sombreo Beach, clean house & loved having a rooftop balcony again. We paid a premium to stay at this house based off the online information, compared to other similar homes on canals in the area. We had previously rented a home in Siesta Key and had a rooftop balcony and really enjoyed the view. This listing shows an open rooftop balcony stairway in the photos and also has no restrictions listed in the property description. Sadly when you arrive there is actually now a 3' gate and a keyed lock. The listing has a photo showing a pool with sand behind it, this is actually the home next door that you do not have access to. There is no sand on the property. Just a view of the home across the canal. The VBRO listing location marks the property directly next to Sombrero Beach, when in reality, it's a long driveway and 4 houses away. We had chosen the property thinking the beach was directly next door. During the week we encountered bugs in two beds and contacted the property manager. No words of apology were exchanged, just a yes the furniture has attracted beetles before, it's likely what's happening. I'll call the exterminator. The exterminator came and said there was nothing he could do and that he had recommended previously for them to replace the furniture but they had opted not to. A day spent washing all the bedding in the home was not what we had envisioned for our vacation. The upstairs guest room also had a strong smell of water damage with yellow staining. The home was generally nice, with nice furnishings and a well stocked kitchen.

Great house and great location!

We really enjoyed the house and being so close to Sombrero Beach. The pool and patio are great for entertaining all ages. Publix and Winn Dixi are conveniently located just a mile or so away.

As Advertised

Check in was a breeze, key and info pickup right on the way, home 3 miles away. Great oceanfront location with views and a 2 minute walk to Sombrero Beach. 1.2 miles to Publix grocery, 1.3 to a couple of local hangouts. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Great days at the pool, well outfitted property. Boat access will only allow for smaller boats and lack of a pool level bath are the only negatives. All in all, great property, wouldn’t go elsewhere should we visit marathon again.

Mother’s Day Week

Where do I begin...? Place is absolutely fabulous. Very well maintained, updated and clean property. Plenty of room for our extended family of 8 for a week and laid out well enough that we weren’t on top of each other. Ground floor was perfect for shaded lounging with a breeze or lunch during a pool session. Wide open water views from this place are spectacular!!! We come to the Marathon area every year and even with a couple of things that weren’t awesome it’s still our favorite location by far!! Now for the not so great... The “dredged” channel is runs about 6in deep at low tide. Even though in the description it says no boats larger than 24ft (ours is 24) we couldn’t get in/out during low tide so we had to plan our day of fishing/snorkeling/sandbar around when could get in/out. Also sucks for us because we would book this property again but upgrading to a bigger boat and will not work with this property. Only other negative is the pool side furniture was pretty worn but we’re accustomed to the Florida sun wearing out stuff that’s predominantly in the sun. Thanks for having us!!!

Great Trip

Usually we spend a week in Islamorada for mini season but decided to try Marathon this time. What a wonderful decision. The home was fantastic. The master bedroom was huge which came in handy for having a pack and play and a toddler. We brought a 24' boat down and found the channel. It comes straight from the south and hugs the seawall. Small PVC markers show you the way. It gets about 2' at low tide but we never had an issue and the dockage was great. Someone in the guest book commented on the "nosey neighbor" and they were correct. He greets you to size you up right out of the gate and keeps an eye on you. We were a pretty quiet group so we didn't have issues but it was noticeable. All in all the best house we have ever rented. Property management was awesome with communication and checking up on us. Great for kids and we will definitely be booking this place again.

Expectations exceeded!!

Our family rang in the New Year at this fantastic house and it was truly exceptional. The house is spacious and allowed everyone to have their own areas. It was spotless clean and had all the amenities one would expect plus extras. The outdoor area, where we spent most of our time, was perfect and the sunsets were truly spectacular! The property manager, Leslie and team, were outstanding to work with and any issues that arose were immediately resolved. We have stayed in numerous properties around the country but this one is hands down the best! Do not hesitate to stay here if you’re in the Keys!!

Good but not really finished

Property was good. However, it feels like it’s not been completely furnished. 3 sun beds for a property advertised for up to 10 is rather poor. Also it would benefit from perhaps a sink and a fridge downstairs. The existing freezer seemed to be for bait. Also the lift would be very helpful but was closed off to guests. Please note I have still not received my deposit back. Similar to my email during my stay to the property managers I have received no reply.
