Celebrating Birthday

Property was wonderful, very clean and located in a nice area. Pool was wonderful and we used it everyday. Host checked on us to make sure all was good. Really enjoyed the visit and would not hesitate to book again.

Quit looking elsewhere

Places everything you need and want in a vacation spot in marathon. The pool is small, but perfect for everyone. The dock is easily accessible from the gulf side an easy access to ocean going north or south. Dual living rooms is an added bonus. Ice Machine and outdoor freezer kept up with our fishing needs. Two refrigerators inside made a huge difference for drinks and snacks for the kids.

This is the second year we have stayed at Barry’s beautiful home! Everything is as pictured. Just the spaciousness of the home is remarkable, but then there’s the gorgeous pool and hot tub that is so relaxing after a long day of fishing. We love having use of a private dock with fish cleaning station and ice house! It is just the perfect place to stay to meet our needs. I will say the bed linens probably need to be upgraded just due to usage; however, we will be back next year!!

Family Spring Break Trip

We stayed at the end of March with our 3 kids for Spring Break. Lots of space to spread out, and the house had everything one could need. There were a couple of minor glitches when we were there (a failed hot tub switch) but Barry was quick to answer the phone and control the tub from a phone app until the switch could be replaced. Excellent customer service, Barry is great to work with! We didn't bring a boat, but fished from the seawall most evenings and caught an assortment of snappers, grunts, angelfish, etc. A #2 or #4 hook, small split shot, and a bit of frozen shrimp did the trick to at least catch some fish. We saw a couple of manatees, and some giant tarpon as well. We even snorkeled a bit in the canal one sunny afternoon, and saw even more varieties of fish, including some bright parrotfish. The neighborhood is very quiet being on a dead end street, and no neighbors across due to to the nature preserve. Easy to get anywhere on Marathon from the location. Since it is right by the airport, you do hear some planes and small jets once in a while, but it isn't enough to not want to stay here. As with anywhere in the Keys, be sure to plan to have the right bug spray for no see-ums if you are going to hang out by the pool around dusk. We forgot that our first night, and our legs and ankles showed it. This would be a perfect house for a long term stay, we'd definitely stay here for a couple months in the winter when we get to that point in our lives.

Paradise on Grouper

Owner maintains his property, amenities are as listed. It's a little taste of paradise outside the rat-race of US-1. We thoroughly enjoy this rental and working with the owner. Very nice neighbors also adds to the rental.

Wonderful stay

The property and house was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay, we could have asked for better. We definitely used the pool to our advantage. The knats can get bad, I would bring bug spray or candles to help with them.

Awesome time

This was our 3rd year down and by far the best property we’ve stayed at. The layout for the family was perfect, the dock was great and the youngest caught some fish from it. The ice maker was a great addition. The property was clean with enough room that nobody was on top of each other which was much needed with the 3 boys. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay with kids and family. Hope to be back soon!

Anniversary werk

This property was perfect for our anniversary! We enjoyed relaxing in the pool everyday, following our daily fishing excursions! We caught some bonnet head and nurse sharks and lots of keeper snapper... some we cooked for dinner!! House was so comfortable and had all we needed! Thank you! Marathon Get Away

Great house and location. We enjoy Marathon boating (we are non fishing people) and this location is fantastic. Protected from elements yet 30 seconds to the gulf. And easy access to Ocean for sandbars and restaurants etc. Pool and jacuzzi (sunsets are perfect) are a awesome. Layout of the house worked very well. I would rent again. No issues.

Almost Paradise

Nestled in a mostly quiet neighborhood this meets a lot of needs. Convenient to attractions, fishing, shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants. The pool design is fantastic. The bait freezer is handy to store our catch. Spacious, open living areas feel like home. The property owner is very conscientious and quick to rectify concerns. Nice neighbors are a bonus. We thoroughly enjoy the use of this property.

Another Great Stay

This was our second stay at Barry’s property. This year we had my parents, my brother and my two teenage boys. The boys spent the majority of the week fishing off the dock. We did many day, trips, including a trip to Key West, fishing charters, wake boarding and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of room to relax. There was an issue with the dock lights when we were there, but those are in the process of being replaced. The location is perfect and a quick drive too many restaurants. We will definitely be back again!

A new favorite!

Stayed here with my parents (65+) my husband (47) and my daughter (9) and it was perfect. The location was excellent and in close proximity many different things. The house was also fantastic. Very well kept and clean. It actually much larger than what it looked like in the pictures. There was more than enough of room for our family of 5. We spent the majority of our days just lounging by the pool and enjoying the Keys way of life We also saw tons of wildlife right off the patio/dock (barracuda, manatees, dolphins, parrot fish, sharks, crabs, pelicans, scorpions, millipedes, etc)! The manager, Barry, was also very attentive and responsive when my husband had a question, which was much appreciated. We have been traveling to the Florida Keys for 15 years, and can honestly say this house is now one of my favorite places we've stayed. :-)

Tropical Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Barry was very attentive to our questions and needs. The house was well furnished, nicely decorated, and a great place to relax. Plenty of space to spread out! The hot tub and pool were used frequently during our stay. As were the fish cleaning table and bait freezer. Previous guests left a lot of bait- which we didn't need or use. The house is conveniently located to restaurants and grocery stores. We look forward to our return stay!

Tropical paradise

It is a great place to stay. Spacious living areas, large back yard. Fish cutting table near electric powerpoint and water supply. The ice maker and bait freezer are fantastic. The kitchen dining area is ample, tons of storage for groceries. We particularly enjoyed the extra refrigerator (we stayed longer than normal). Conveniently located to fish, grocery shop, sightseeing or just relaxing by the backyard pool. We enjoyed everything about this rental including the host. He made sure to communicate and always replied in a reasonable amount of time.

Fantastic Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We fish so the bait freezer and freestanding ice machine were perfect. The fish cutting board was long enough for a two person operation. The pool was exceptional as was the hot tub. Great place to relax and unwind. Barry was very attentive to our needs and quickly responded to our inquiries. Thank for a great getaway.

Amazing & Perfect

Amazing property! Has everything you need or want! Not a thing more you could to to make it better except stay longer! Brought 24 ft boat and jet ski, had plenty of room for both in parking and on dock.
