"This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."

With just 4 villas it was quiet, but literally a 5 minute drive from Sami main promenade with a great selection of restaurants and shops. "We had a great time in Argostoli and loved the location and views from the property. Our delayed flight and late arrival (12:30am) was not a problem at all as the keys were left in the door for us! Parking was not actually on site, but on the road near to the property. However, this did not cause any problems as a space was always available. Loved the fact that it was an easy walk down into the town for drinks and food and nightlife. Also a nice walk into Lassi but that was a bit further away....
