My friends and I spent 4 nights at this property and it was the best experience we've had at a rental.It was clean, very well stocked and in a great location. The owners were very responsive and provided very clear instructions. I would definitely book this unit again!

The condo was in a great location central to all of the activities you could want to do on an Outer Banks vacation. It was a peaceful, quiet spot out of the hustle of the more touristy areas and the balconies offered great views of Sound and sunrise and sunset. They had nice patio furnature on both balconies and we spent quiet mornings out there drinking coffee and watching the Osprey in their nest. Unfortunately for us, we didnt have the best weather for the week. We enjoyed the beach and Jeanettes Pier a few days and visited some lighthouses. Downtown Manteo is a cute area for food and shopping. I also highly recommend The live outdoor show The Lost Colony as well as the Wright Brothers museum and monument. The condo was stocked with all the basics and some starters of things like toilet paper and paper towel. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is an elevator easily accessible to bring up luggage although i took the stairs most of the time throughout the vacation. The hosts were very responsive to our inquiries and quick to correct a mistake with the accuracy of the rental listing. They were able to offer many suggestions as well for places to eat and visit during our stay. There is a pool on site for hot days when you dont want the beach scene and a restaurant as well. The Christmas shop is right next door and I highly recommend. It is huge and full of beautiful xmas decor. Overall, I would recommend this property.

Wonderful stay!

The condo was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located for our family. Full kitchen and multiple bathrooms were great for our family of four. The multiple outdoor balconies were fantastic for quiet evening drinks. Had some confusion entering the first time (user error on my part) and the owners were immediately responsive. Their suggestions for food and activities were on point. Would absolutely recommend and stay there again.

Happy Manteo Stay

Perfect location . We were a group of 2 adults and 2 children, and enjoyed many nearby activities such as an aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens and Roanoke Island Festival Park. A dolphin tour was available on the property. The condo has views of water on two sides which enhanced our visit. So glad we chose this condo to stay. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Getaway - Highly Recommend

Our stay at your Shallowbag Bay Club condo was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the attention to detail, cleanliness, and overall ambiance of the condo. The location was perfect — close enough to attractions and restaurants but tucked away for a peaceful retreat.The property itself is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed, from cozy linens to a well-equipped kitchen. Every aspect of the condo made our stay incredibly comfortable. The outdoor space is a real highlight (see photos) whether sipping coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evening, it felt like our private little oasis.The hosts Robert and Lisa are exceptional — responsive, friendly, and truly invested in making our experience wonderful. Their thoughtful touches, like local recommendations made all the difference since this was our first visit to The Outer Banks.If you're looking for a stay that combines luxury, comfort, and convenience, this is it. Outstanding Condo!!

Beautiful condo with 2 balconies & water views. Everything you could possibly need is furnished. We have stayed in vacation properties from ME.to the Keyes to LA & this was our favorite!Robert & Lisa were great to answer any questions & make suggestions re restaurants,things to do etc. Very organized & Hope to return in the future!

Great Condo with great location

Nice water views with balconies and a sun room. Good location to get to Manteo and Nags Head. Had some problems with the elevator one day, but the owner was very responsive and we could use it that day and it was totally fixed the next morning. We have stayed here before and probably will again.

We often travel to Manteo to visit our family. This property has the nicest views, attractive and comfortable furniture, beautiful decor and a very nice floor plan. We’re planning on staying here for our future visits.

Lovely views! Spacious. Lots of light. Fantastic view of New Year's Eve fireworks from back deck. Owners very responsive to questions. Easy lock and nice elevator. Great internet access. So many opportunities for sightseeing. Don't go to Hatteras for the next year and a half, though. All paint has been removed from the lighthouse, and it is enshrouded in scaffolding. A 20 million dollar renovation is going on. Stripers restaurant, on site, was excellent. Trio was great for New Year's Eve dinner.

A Perfect Relaxing Christmas

The holidays are always so much fun, but they can also be very stressful. My wife and I were seeking a place to escape, recharge, and relax for a few days over Christmas. We stumbled upon Robert & Lisa's property and it was exactly what was needed. Beautiful views, cozy atmosphere, warm and inviting, everything we needed to unwind and enjoy. It was a perfect three days and we would absolutely suggest this property AND will probably be back to enjoy it in 2025. A perfect vacation.

Thanksgiving in Manteo

Beautiful setting with great views. Had a wonderful time but we could not get the fireplace to light. Master suite mattress/bed was extremely comfortable. Great nights sleep every night.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is exactly as pictured. The furishings are lovely and the kitchen is super organized with everything you could need. Communication with the owners was quick and easy. The complex is quiet and well maintained and the location is great. We would stay again in a heart beat!!

The Ultimate Getaway Condo

We spent a great 3 day getaway at “Sounds-Fishy”. Everything was just as described. The owners provided us with timely updates and reminders during our stay. The information they provided regarding restaurants and activities was very handy. One of the restaurants on the list was O’Neils in Wanchese, which I highly recommend if you are looking for good, local seafood. You can’t go wrong if you book this location. When I get back to this area again this will be my first choice. Thank you Robert and Lisa for being such great hosts.
