Peaceful Getaway
We traveled from Cincinnati to visit family in Georgia and wanted a few days to ourselves and this was the perfect place. They have everything you could need, we were very impressed. We loved sitting out on the dock, and the rocking chairs on the covered porch and I especially enjoyed the hammock. The house smelled amazing. We played countless games of pool, darts, and video games. This place has it all and the view is lovely. Highly recommend.

Great place!!
After reading all the reviews about Archie's Lake Daze Cottage we decided to book it for our trip to SC. We were not disappointed when we arrived. Loved the view, the privacy and the piece and quiet. All the reviews were spot on! It was perfect, we have zero complaints. Even our weather the whole 4 days was beautiful. We looked forward every morning to coffee on the porch watching the amazing sunrise 🌞 Also enjoyed the kayaking and sitting by the fire each evening. The pool table and arcade game was a nice added touch. King size bed was very comfy. The cottage was super clean and nicely decorated. It was such a pleasant experience. Lake life is awesome! Maybe someday we will be back to Archie's Lake Daze Cottage.

Archie's Lake House - Manning/Santee, SC
This is a GREAT property! The space is awesome (well maintained with everything you need to for a great time) and you can tell the owners try very hard to anticipate what visitors may want or need. Great for adventure, shenanigans or relaxing. Beautiful views, very quiet, fairly private, well-equipped/maintained, and great communication. Do a lot or a little! ;-) Thanks!

Wonderful getaway
This place is amazing, always something to do. Great place to spend a week or long weekend. The kids loved it, never bored, and even some firsts for them. If you're looking for a quiet retreat on the lake, you couldn't find a better spot. Host even arranged return of an expensive charger I left.

Lake getaway
We enjoyed fishing, swimming and family time. Being right on the water was great. The only thing I would recommend is investing in another mattress for the master bedroom. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. My son kept saying he wished we lived there! So we may have to go back again.

Big bass
This is a beautiful place the location was perfect for me. This was my birthday fishing trip. The cable and phone service was great and all essentials you need was at this house. It had rain all week no fish but on My last night I caught a 8-10lb big mouth bass Praise the Lord. This place is awesome I will be back Thank you Lisa

Lovely lake house
We stayed for 5 days. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need. All we needed to do was buy food. The kitchen was stocked with many extras which you normally would have to bring with you including all sorts of spices, sugar, coffee and creamer. a Keurig in the kitchen was a nice extra. Even the coffee pods were provided. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were fully stocked with toilet paper (and not the cheap kind) plus tissues throughout the house which isn't often provided. The internet worked well and there were a few nice large flat screen TV's. The view outside was beautiful and peaceful. Because we were there during the week, the lake was empty. We really enjoyed kayaking on this small lake. The water looked very clean. Manning is about a 10 mile drive. There are some nice restaurants there along with grocery stores, Walmart, CVS, etc. We had dinner 2 times at Fayz on the waterfront. What a nice surprise that was. Delicious southern style cooking. the catfish was delicious as was the ribs & fried chicken. and very reasonably priced. We also spent a day in Charleston which was 1.5 hours away. Our host & hostess was very responsive to any questions we had. And you can see how much TLC they put into this house. Whether you are a couple or a family with kids, this house is perfect. You will not be disappointed.

Enjoyed the location, was clean and inviting both inside and out.
We enjoyed waking up to the birds singing and sitting on the dock playing cards. Archie’s Was welcoming, clean and quiet. Plenty to do inside as well if the weather doesn’t favor outdoor activities.

Perfect spot for R&R!
This was one of my favorite stays to date! It was so quiet, calm, and relaxing! This home checked all of our boxes. It was decorated perfectly, lots to do and I LOVED sitting on her porch in the morning with my coffee and breakfast! There was lots offered here in this home from games and entertainment to the little touches like Toiletries (even tho we brought our own) and kitchen supplies, and comfy beds. We played a lot of pool and darts! The lake was so quiet! I especially loved laying in the hammock with a book. We were here after a long week visiting family and it was the perfect spot for some good old fashioned R&R! Thanks a million for a perfect stay!

Freaking Awesome!
This is the cutest, coziest, quietest cottage. We loved everything, even jumping in the lake several times. We didn't want to leave. We will be back and it will be more than just 4 days. I miss it already.

We were very pleased with the Lake House. It was perfect for our long weekend vacation. Absolutely beautiful location. Very detailed check-in/out instructions, clean house, quiet area and the owner Lisa was pleasant and very responsive. There's all kinds of fun stuff to do (bike, fish, fire pit, hike, kayak, peddle boat, etc.) Did I mention the awesome 60-game old school cabinet arcade game? Will 100% return the next time we head to SC!

Fishing trip at Santee Cooper
The property was comfortable and quiet, good lighting outside at night, turn around room for boat on trailer, plenty of hot water, pool table, darts, video machine etc. 3 bedroom 2 bath, washer dryer, full size fridge with ice maker, big screen tv in two rooms with netflix etc, Nice view of lake, only drawback for us was discovering we had no direct access to lake Marion from the boat dock at the house, there are plenty of boat ramps near by but once ur boat is in the water on Marion you cannot get to dock at house, you must put in at the end of that branch of water To get to dock. Not a major isssue just had to work around it.

Relaxing getaway
This cabin is right on a lake and offers guests the opportunity to do everything or nothing! We spent many hours reading and relaxing on the porch or fishing off the property’s dock. If you have a boat there are nearby launches directly into Lake Marion. The cabin itself has all the comforts of home, including very nice toiletries. Lisa and John have thought of everything to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. It is clean with updated baths and a tiny but user-friendly kitchen. The location is within a 2-hour drive of Charleston, Folly Beach and, of course, Santee. A very nice area to visit with a good balance of activities to appeal to almost everyone. The owners are accessible but not overbearing and were lovely to work with. Many thanks for a great week!

Best vacation ever!
We had tons of outdoor fun fishing, kayaking, swimming and paddle boating. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings! Indoor games video games, pool table and darts made it fun for the whole family! Lisa was amazing with communicating and made sure we had everything we needed! We can’t wait to come back again soon!!

Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was well stocked. Our grands really liked the pool table , dart board and the video games. The one negative was the circuit breaker. Anytime you used the microwave you had to turn off other things .

Even with 6 people in our family the lake house never felt crowded. We enjoyed the house immensely the whole week. Lisa was in contact a lot especially during the storm we received. Great Time
We had such a Great Time. It was so relaxing and was just what the doctor ordered. We didn’t catch any fish but it was so nice and quiet. This is definitely a place my family and I would come back and hopefully soon. The cabin is just like it looks on line. Lisa and her husband had the place fully stocked we actually brought way too much extra. The electricity went out one night but Lisa checked in on us constantly to make sure we were ok. She was so caring and made sure we were ok, which we were. Getting up in the morning and taking our coffee on the porch and watching the sun rise over the water which a way of life I would Love to live every day. Having your own private dock was so Awesome. My husband is ready to buy a boat and go back. Lisa and her husband have truly an Awesome place we can’t wait to go back we are already planning our next trip. My husband told one of his friends at work do I had to give him the information. Lisa thank you so much for making our Easter so Wonderful as we definitely plan on coming back. Thank you for your kindness, and caring. Even though we never met you we fill like we have known you forever. You and your husband have a Beautiful place. We can’t wait to come back. So if anyone wants a place to relax this is definitely the place to go in Santee, SC. Thank you Heidi & David Reinhardt

Perfect!
Archie’s was the perfect place for a laid back girls’ weekend. So cute, clean, and cozy. Plenty of games and entertainment. The extra touches like toiletries in the bathrooms and some kitchen basics were the icing on the cake. We’re looking forward to coming back for a future getaway.

Little piece of heaven, the cottage is very clean and everything you will need is provided, all you need is your food. Hidden Gem
Archie’s lake cottage is such a wonderful and peaceful place to go and enjoy the beauty of Lake Marion. I feel in love with Archie from the first glance. Archie has so much to offer comfort roomy and beautiful views. Archie also has Kayaks that he love to share and our guys did just that. From the pool table ping pong darts stocked kitchen plenty of towels Archie really goes out to make your stay a memorable one. We all kept saying Archie is a keeper. The owners Lisa and John keep up on you yo make sure you’re in and enjoying yourself so if you’ll looking for a wonderful place to stay book Archie you want be disappointed.

Loved it and plan to come back!
My wife and I were in the area to look at some property, and being a fisherman, I thought that I would enjoy staying on one of the areas lakes. The cottage is a great place to relax. It was a bit cold so most of our relaxing was inside. Lisa has really thought this through. There was nothing we needed that was not there. Looking ahead we scoped out the kitchen supplies, and were confident on our return we will be able to make most of our meals there. It was clean and comfortable. It has some unique touches like a pool table and a vintage pinball machine. There is a gas fireplace that has a thermostat control. It was cold when we arrived but the heaters quickly had the place up to a comfortable temperature. My return trip will include kayaks and fishing equipment, Lake Marion is a well know fishing spot with stripers, bass, catfish, and speckled perch among other species available.

Absolutely the Best~
This was the best getaway I have had in years. This modest on the outside is transformed to an update inside with everything you can possibly imagine on the inside. From coffee left for you to shampoo in the bathroom. We ate every meal on the porch and the view is absolutely beautiful. We had a lot of fun using the pool table, dart board and pin ball machine! Town is very close so it didn't take us long for anything we needed. The owner was helpful and even checked in to be sure everything was going okay. We loved it so much we will be checking dates and availability to go back. What a little piece of heaven they have~

Perfect. Thats what comes to mind when asked. This place was perfect. The owners had all the necessities plus a bunch of extras. They really put thought into the what else's could people enjoy. The cold beer mugs in the fridge. That was the cherry on top I rent cabins on vrbo often. This is one is on the top of the list. Going back to Achies cabin is in our future.

So good, we’ll be back!
Everything about “Archie’s lake daze cottage” was relaxing and fun. There were lots of activities for our family (including 3 young boys) to enjoy. On sunny days we kayaked (thanks to Lisa for allowing us to enjoy her kayaks!), fished, played yard games (also on site for use), cooked out and relaxed in the hammock. We had one rainy day on our getaway but between the pinball machine, pool table and board games, we had plenty to keep the kiddos occupied. Lisa was amazing, any questions I had she answered promptly and friendly. She also makes the cottage very cozy, clean and well stocked! Towels, shampoo, condiments, spices, etc. I didn’t need to bring anything but food and clothes. We had such a fantastic time that we’re already planning our trip back next year!
