This property is a bit deceiving from the outside. It looks nice and new but the interior is quite dated and needs work. There was a small hole in the ceiling above my shower that dripped cold water while I was showering. Not sure where it was coming from 😳.

Terrible!! I want a refund. Hot tub not hot at all. Barely warm, and no jets. Bed, awful. Old and hard. No extra towels. Dirty carpet. A/C not working. I was looking so forward to a hot tub after a very long day of graduation ceremonies and meeting new family. Also, our room faced city lights and the curtains to darken the room were only decorative. Only had a sheer see through curtain to block out those lights! SO NOT HAPPY!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The first room I checked into was very dirty, with stains on the carpet, and on the desk chair as well as very worn out, stained bedding. The bedding did not fit properly, and the sheets did not stay on the corners. The bathroom was not clean, hair on the floor. The refrigerator had stuff spilled in it not cleaned up. I requested a second room, and upon entry of the second room the carpet was also stained, curtains broken, desk and desk lamp were either broken or not sturdy, and the toilet seat was broken. Deep cleaning of the rooms clearly does not happen as the dust was thick on the edges of the border of carpet. It seemed like it was not maintained well. Could hear everybody walking and talking in the hallway and people on other side of wall in room. The breakfast was decent and the receptionist checking me in was quick to get me a new room and had a great attitude.

Property smelled clean and looked clean . Rooms could use some updates. Fresh paint or carpeting would really improve the look. Bed was very comfortable and clean but furniture was pretty old and worn.

The young man who was in charge of check in at the desk around 530pm on Sunday was very personable and did a great job of explaining the incidentals portion of the check in process. He very obviously knew his job very well, I was very impressed.

Travel teams
My stay was fine except for the young hockey players running up and down the halls -yelling- late into the night. I know it's exciting for a traveling team but Saturday night was raucous on the 2nd floor! I realize it's the parents' fault but could you have put all the teams on one floor?

The staff and room was mediocre at best. They were having conversations that probably should be heard outside of guest areas and another time were on their personal phone.

When we checked in they said there was breakfast witch is a big reason we chose to stay and in the morning the did not have breakfast because the person that did it quit the day before and the manager could not be bothered to come in and do it. Very disappointing.

Staff was really nice and the breakfast was good and had a good selection. The hotel over was clean but smelled like smoke and pool was ice cold and not usable. The hot tub was also out of order and closed so the kids were bummed about that.

If the hot tub is broken, TELL PEOPLE!!!!! I would have cancelled my 2-days stay if I knew the hot tub was not working. They did not tell us when we checked in, either. We were stepping into the hot tub when we discovered it was COLD. I went to the desk (there was no sign indicating it was not working) and the clerk said, "Yeah, they tried to fix it but it won't get hot."

If a property is going to offer breakfast, continue serving through the entire time offered. There was no food left with 45 minutes remaining of serving time. When I mentioned it to the front desk, zero response other than a nod. I was friendly and kind. It’s a staff teaching moment that needs to be utilized.

Love the size and location of rooms and hotel. The room we stayed in had two small rooms so great to have children in one room - close supervision and a little privacy for mom and dad to rest in the other. Bathroom reeked of cleaner chemical. My wife developed a cough from it while we stayed. Crumbs all in the hide a bed was a bit gross. Called desk for an extra blanket and pillow- said they’d be right up but never showed up. Breakfast was better than most hotels, juice machine was broken- it happens. So some easy improvements but an over all restful stay.

This place is pretty run down. We arrived early and were told no one could check in before 3:00. Wallpaper is peeling off in many places, carpet in the room is stained in many places. Vending machine for snacks doesn’t work, the hot tub was luke warm, and the elevator sounds like it’s going to stop working. Axels Bi fire restaurant connected to the hotel never reopened after COVid so there isn’t a place to eat in the hotel. There weren’t many hotels available when we were looking for a place to stay this weekend, too bad this was about the only one left.

They make the best of what they have. I have no complaints about the service or cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was on par with most other hotel breakfast. For the price per night for a room with a jetted tub, I would expect something more modern. That was only disappointing part of the stay.

Given a very dirty room
I've never done this before, but I had to ask for a different room. The rug was stained - which is actually not the issue as a stained rug can still be clean - but this rug wasn't. There were a number of toenail clippings on the floor. Yes - toenail clippings. It was really gross. I went back to the desk and asked for another room and was given a cleaner one, but the person at the front desk didn't once apologize. In fact, she didn't say anything - just took my key, typed into her computer and handed me a new key, as if somehow it was my fault. Will not be staying here again.
