I am sorry you felt this way. We are regenerating native plants in the garden. It is a work in progress and is also very different to a suburban garden. At different times you can see many different flowers and other plants, at other times depending on the season, there is not so much to see, and it can look very untidy. We do maintain the garden, and also cut the grass but we do not mow it, there is no lawn, and at times we have to let plants go to seed.

Although it has been a wetter summer than normal, as the reviewer points out, there is currently a lot of long grass and combustible material. There were also many unharvested crops close by. The Rockies is near a forest, and extensive open woodland. A bushfire would be very dangerous and devastating to us, the community and the local environment. To any future guests reading this, please do not take these issues lightly. Also note substantial fines and prison terms of up to 12 months may apply to persons found to be in breach of the Rural Fires Act 1997 and its Regulations. Also you do need at least average clearance for the road as stated on the website.

Most of road has now been graded. Grader has also left, so tranquility restored as well.
