What a wonderful holiday we had at Citakara. It delivered all we could have wished for and more. Not only is it a gorgeous spot but the facilities are excellent and the staff unobtrusive but there whenever we needed them. From organising bikes to hire, a snorkelling trip and a hike between villages, Ayu managed it all with her big, generous smile and wonderful sense of humour. It was a lovely walk along the lane to the small village and so many different restaurants etc in easy walking distance if we were so inclined. However the food provided by the equally accommodating chef saw us eating in most days.The snorkelling just in front of the villas was great fun - with a large variety of marine life to enthrall us all. It truly was a great place for our family to gather and catch up without having to compete with "strangers" for a pool side seat. There were 12 of us, 4 couples, a single and 3 grandchildren and the villas provided a perfect retreat for all but with common areas large enough to seat us all. Thanks to Ayu and her amazing team for such a memorable holiday.

Pure Bali Bliss

The Citikara Sari Villa’s are absolutely stunning and caters for the perfect family holiday. The property is even better than in the pictures provided. The property manager and team are friendly, helpful and respectful.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in der Villa Citakara Sari. Die ganze Anlage ist wirklich toll, super gepflegt und sehr stilvoll und liebevoll bis in alle Details gestaltet. Die Crew hat sich hervorragend um uns alle gekümmert. Jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt und jeder Ausflug möglich gemacht. Wir haben in der Woche einen runden Geburtstag gefeiert, der mit dem festiv dinner ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis wurde. Wir wären am liebsten noch geblieben und werden sicher wieder kommen.

60th wedding aniversary

Excellent property and staff and location - could not fault any of these. Only minor issue was that for onsite costs we told that we could pay with credit card, which was not possible. This resulted in the owner in the USA arranging transfer through paypal Rupiah- US$ - AUS$ involving about 7% commission/transfer costs rather than about 3% with credit card. Best 10 day vacation

If we could have stayed longer, we most definitely would. The property is breathtaking and true to the listings pictures. Ayu and her staff were amazing. So helpful and accommodating for my large family gathering. The location is definitely far (2hrs from the airport). That was a selling point for us though, since we wanted a quiet and beautiful setting to ourselves. It is in a community of other resort stays (someone got married next door and set off fireworks, which was fun). Otherwise we couldn’t see or hear anyone near us. Restaurants could be found within walking distance, but the chef on property was wonderful too. The only down side I would say is that this property is nowhere near cheap considering the area we stayed in and we definitely paid for the convenience of having dinner on site. It is a big and beautiful property though and an amazing experience - so we have no regrets. Definitely a place worth visiting again.

Perfect family holiday

We loved our stay at Citakara Sari Villas, the location on the beach front is beautiful, watching the boats come and go while swimming in the pool was great. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, we had a group of 14, and a birthday celebration which they organised everything for, including the traditional Balinese Kecak dance, which was a real highlight of the trip. The food at the villa was delicious, having young children we found it easier to eat most meals at the villa rather than going out, the chef was very accommodating to any special requests we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Attention to detail in every way-a truly wonderful visit

Excellent private location, this luxury estate is meticulously groomed and landscaped, offering superb accommodations for a large group with ample opportunity for privacy and comfort. Architecturally stunning buildings accompanied by artistic and historic interior design. Hand crafted Balinese wall and ceiling panels are jaw dropping in their beauty and, with the ancient and modern art throughout the compound, there is an overriding sense of calmness and serenity. Spectacular baths as well as a private spa are welcome amenities. Private beach with protective breakwater allows for excellent clear water snorkeling and swimming. The large infinity pool overlooking the beach provides ample room for swimming laps or just for cooling off and enjoying the view. A well maintained tennis court along with rackets and balls really exceeded all expectations. The staff is professional, gracious, friendly and attentive. The chef has skills found at some of the finest restaurants on the island. He has perfected western, Balinese and Indonesian cuisine and is eager to share his passion for preparing truly memorable meals. The manager is always quick to respond to even the most unusual of requests and the entire staff is groomed to respect the privacy of the guests in the most sensitive manner. We have had the privilege to be guests at some of the finest hotels in the world and Citicara Sari is equal in quality to all yet with the added bonus of allowing one to be the only guests on the entire property. We look forward to our next stay at this wonderful estate.

Beach Paradise

Our stay was absolutely fabulous! We had a group of 8, from 5 to 70, and we all loved our stay. The pool had a shallow area for the kids, and we spent hours at the beach snorkeling and beach combing. The food that Putu prepared was delicious and Ayu and her staff were attentive, quick to respond to any request, and a true pleasure to be around. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

The only place to stay in Bali!

We have stayed here three times over the last three years and each time it delights and surprises us. The estate is beautiful! The staff is diligent, but unobtrusive and the accommodation tasteful, clean and comfortable. We rarely leave the compound- instead enjoying the world class snorkeling right in front of the villa. Lounging by the pool and enjoying the delicious food prepared to order by the chef. The owner is quick to respond and very accommodating. This is a wonderful vacation destination.

Very elegant private luxury Villa resort

The premises consists of 3 separate Villas on a big piece of land located at ocean front. The Villas are very luxurious and well designed, offer a lot of space and privacy. The village where the property is located is very remote and nearly 1.5 hours away from Denpassar. So if you are looking for distraction and entertainment it is not the right place. The staff was very polite and willing to help. Just their knowledge of the English language is very limited, except for the manager, Mrs. Ayu. Apart from that it is a very good place to relax and calm down. As often on Bali, the beach is poor (concerning the sand), but apart from that there is a lot of good coral just in front of the small beach.

Paradise on earth!

I have nothing but great things to say. The property was just as displayed in the photos, better actually. Staff was friendly and attentive! We spent 11 days here and happily called it home! Didn't want to leave but real life called and would welcome the opportunity to visit the villas and Bali again in the future ... until them we have great memories Linda & Mackenzie

What an amazing place and wonderful team we've left part of our hearts in Bali.....

We booked all 3 villas so we could share this beautiful place with friends. The villas are all beautiful! The grounds truly stunning lying by the pool was just Bliss! The Reef fascinating lots of fish to see for those who snorkel. The team of staff so wonderful Ayu and team so lovely, friendly and helpful the kids talk of them still! This is definitely a non touristy part of Bali which is stunning much to see and do if your prepared to travel away from the Villa a little. The group enjoyed visits to Coffee plantations, rice fields, water temples, Volcano cycle ride and a Boat trip over to the Gili Islands all thoroughly recommended. This place was incredibly special and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone thinking of staying were just looking for an excuse to return tho from the UK it's a Long Trip. We will be back tho Thankyou so much for sharing with us your wonderful Home. The Jackson, Cornwell & Boardman Families. UK

Beautiful Expansive Property in a charming and quiet area of Bali

Our party of 16 took over the Citakara Sari compound for over two weeks this past summer. It is a gorgeous property with lovely expansive grounds, spacious villas that gave us all our own privacy while having a great common room for meals and get togethers. The property is on the "sleepier" side of Bali away from the hustle of Seminyak. There are several great excursions about 45 minutes from the Villa that we explored. We ventured to various beaches and snorkeled at the Blue Lagoon. We took advantage of the bbq prepared by the staff one night and had local performers come a do a "Frog Dance" that was a fun treat. Iyu the property manager helped us navigate around town and we worked with several different drivers to take us to destinations outside of the main village. On the same strip of beach there are several different hotels which were convenient to drop into for lunches and dinners to change up the pace. We loved using the tennis courts and the mini raft in the pool which the kids turned into their own pirate ship. We had been traveling all summer and Citakara Sari was the perfect place to end our whirlwind vacation. We searched for treasure (sea glass, shells, etc) on our own private beach, lounged at the pool, played cards under the gazebo and got lost watching the waves. Iyu arranged for massages that were heavenly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villas and would recommend to families with all ages, wedding parties and friends.
