Good sized room above the pub. Was a bit noisy from the pub, as needed the windows open in the heat, but overall a solid room. The staff were really friendly, it was in a good location, and there were good shops/restaurants nearby. Free parking was great as well.

Very pleasant stay, the bedroom and bathroom was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. There was entertainment later on (two singers) and both were very good. There is a function room on the lower ground which was being used, however this was not a problem and didn't disturb us. Our room was quiet. The bedrooms are dated and tired but functional, but this would not stop me staying there again. I cannot comment on the food as we didn't eat there. Overall good for the price.

Free parking but you need to book your car in on a screen at the bar. Not an easy or simple check in when the bar is open. Lovely and helpful cleaning staff when the bar was closed (in the morning).

The staff were amazing and bed was comfortable sadly that’s there the positives stop The bathroom was the biggest problem, a hole in the door, mould on the bath, rust on the shower, cracked tiles and broken bath signs I was told the room was the furthest away from the bar but could still hear loud music until midnight Great staff just the bathroom needs to be refurbished and cleaned

We were staying one night, travelling from the Midlands. We make regular trips to Manchester as hubby is under The Christie, & needed a hotel not too far from here & has car park on site & reasonable room rate. Spread Eagle is fairly easy to find, tho the Sat Nag navigated us to the place across the rd, Lloyds. Car park is of a reasonable size, make sure you register your vehicle on the screen at the bar inside. We were greeted by a friendly lady who fetched Christophe to book us in. Our rate approx £65 for double room. Thru a secure door, only accessible with a keyfob, we were taken to our room by Christophe-Room 1. It was spacious, clean, inc large sofa, tea/coffee, wardrobe, bathroom with towels & shower gel, hand wash & shampoo. The double bed had 2 pillows each & very comfortable. The only downside was the light in the hallway to the room. It has a sensor, which is triggered by yourselves in the room. However, it is also triggered by anyone walking by the room! We kept the door from the room to the hallway closed so the light didn't disturb us. We left the light on in the bathroom overnight as a safety precaution-2 steps up into it. Shower has 'tropical' style head as well as 'normal. We only used the normal as tropical seemed to spray water everywhere apart from @you. Couldn't get any hot water at first as people upstairs were also using the shower, but soon came thru. Tho basic, the room is perfect for 1-2 nights. No food is available but co-op & food place close by.
