We Love Irish Beach

We’ve stayed at Irish Beach many times over the years but this was our first time at Shalamere. We love the access to the private beach and will definitely be back!!!

Perfection in every way

We have rented houses 2-3X a year on the "Mendocino" coast, never the same one twice, for 20 years. Not sure why, guess they all left something to be desired. Well we have finally found the place! We are going to rebook again and make it our go to rental on the coast. The owners are great to deal with. We had to reschedule to to a family issue and they were very accommodating. And My dog Daisy love the dog bed too!

Nature and nurture

Well appointed kitchen made cooking easy and huge windows and sliding doors made for great viewing and listening to the ocean. Easy driving to old growth redwoods and great beaches. The hot tub under the stars was soothing, beds were comfortable and the gas stove was charming.

Warren Family on Adventure!

Shalimere was perfect for us to unwind from hectic holiday plans.This is our third or fourth stay and we will definitely be back! If you are looking for a clean, lovely home with all the amenities you could want or need,this is the vacation home for you. We had long walks on Irish Beach and Bowling Ball beach, checked out the town of Mendocino and played an epic game of Monopoly!

Perfect Coastal Get Away

We loved our stay here. The house was beautiful with so many windows looking out at the ocean, a cozy gas fireplace, a hot tub on the deck, perfect master bedroom with huge shower. We didn't want to leave. A closet full of board games and also a large TV with Dish and all the streaming channels. We never ran out of things to do. Will definitely stay again.

Sanctuary

My husband and our two pups had a relaxing, fun and enjoyable time. Having one big great room to hang out was perfect for spending time together. The views were ever changing. Plenty of games. Cozy fire. Hot tub on point. Don’t miss out on this one. Plus Point Arena and Elk have an amazing food scene. The local S&B market has everything you want and need. Thanks for having us!

Great stay at Shalimere!

We loved everything about Shalimere! The communication from Dave and Michelle was outstanding and we couldn't ask for a better location. The kitchen was very well appointed and everything was very clean. We even got a glimpse of the Bobcat a couple of time. We tried one of their recommendations for restaurants in Mendocino and had a great meal. I would definitely stay at Shalimere again!

Peaceful and relaxing

We stayed at shalimere to see the Northern California coast. This house was a good value with great views of the ocean and point arena lighthouse, and is located just off the main highway but enough away that we did not hear traffic. The house is comfortable and clean, as pictured. We would stay again. We like to take road trips with our dog, so much appreciate hosts who are willing to allow dogs. Not good cell service here, but the Internet WiFi worked for us. Any questions we had were answered quickly.

A little slice of heaven in Pacific Coast

We had just a wonderful time in Irish Beach! The home is unique, cozy, and delightful with the most amazing views! We fell in love with the quiet area and the community beach. So happy that we got to experience a stay at Shalimere!

Fabulous Getaway!

Beautiful home to soak it all in

We loved this property. What a view! We did see a bobcat out back one day which was pretty neat. So peaceful and the fireplace made the great room so cozy. Fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed and the grocery store in Manchester was not too far away for supplies. We didn’t make it down to the beach as we were in town for a wedding but from a distance it looked like a great place to explore. We has a wonderful stay!

Paradise Revisited

My husband and I have traveled to Irish Beach many times. This was our second stay at Shalimere. We enjoyed the large great room and open kitchen with beautiful views of the ocean. We especially liked the wrap-around deck and high beam wooden ceilings in the living area. We stayed home and cooked our dinner every day as most of the restaurants were closed (Monday-Wednesday). The convenience of the BBQ was appreciated. Our two pups loved the walks on Irish Beach. The solitude and peace of the beach area were just what we needed to escape the heat and congestion of Southern California. The house is a throw back to the 70's with the original features of when it was first built. The kitchen appliances and sink have been upgraded, but the original oak cabinets are still there. The bathrooms also appear to have the original tile which gives it a retro vibe. We appreciate the wonderful relaxing stay that Shalimere offered us. It is a sanctuary for those who need a little peace in their lives.

Wonderful!

Our stay at Shalmiere was absolutely amazing! The home was exceptionally clean, and the view was spectacular. Michelle and Dave go above and beyond to ensure that you have an excellent and comfortable stay. We have stayed in the Irish Beach community many times, and Shalmiere is now our favorite home. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck while enjoying a glass of wine with the amazing view, taking long walks with our furbabies, spending time on the private beach, and cooking delicious meals in the well-stocked kitchen and on the provided grill. We felt right at home and did not want to leave!!! Michelle and Dave even provided us with locations to visit that accommodate our dogs, which was such an appreciated, personal touch! We will be visiting again soon! Thank you, Michelle and Dave, for sharing your beautiful home!

Amazing Home With Idyllic View

The house is immaculate, comfortable, and feels like home the moment you arrive. The view is perfection; from the ocean to the neighborhood deer and foxes there is beauty out every window. Shalimere is a wonderful home to experience the gems of the coast that Manchester and Irish Beach are. Plus the hosts, Michelle and Dave are communicative and a pleasure to work with.

Amazing Stay at Irish Beach, with our pup!!🐶♥️

We stayed at Shalimere for Mothers Day Weekend, and it was Perfect!!! The owners go above and beyond to make you and your dog feel welcomed. The house has everything we needed and then some to make us feel right at home. Our pup loved the basket of toys, and lounging on the gated-in wrap around deck with us. My only comment is that you don’t get 180 degree views like this without sacrificing some privacy…there are no fences here, and there are neighbors on all sides of you. Luckily for us, those homes were vacant and we were spoiled with a quiet neighborhood to ourselves! We will be back for sure!!! One of the best vacation rentals EVER!!
