The hotel is very convenient for exploring central Manchester, museum, art galleries and universities. However, it is in a fairly run down area with its rough sleepers and intoxicated teens. I didn’t feel I was in any danger but it is visually threatening. The car park opposite the hotel which is where you are likely to park, has seen better days with pools of water and gushing streams from upper floors to those below. (Water feature?)
Nevertheless, the rooms, though compact, are comfortable and clean. The bed was firm but I got a good nights sleep. I was not disturbed by other guests suggesting good sound proofing. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful.
