The traditional Villa So Fangos in a perfect secluded rural location just south of Manacor is perfect for children and families. This can already be seen from the outside, for example by the slightly elevated pool behind the house right next to a beautiful, shady wooded area with a sun terrace and small lawn. As the pool area is fenced off and closed with a gate, it is ensured that children cannot play in this area without supervision. There are a total of six sun loungers for sunbathing and two parasols for shade by the pool. The villa itself is surrounded by a terrace area made of natural stone, which is surrounded by Mediterranean green plants. A tall palm tree borders directly on the covered terrace area alongside the house. In this area you will find a simple wooden table with six comfortable wooden chairs, a great outdoor dining area just a few metres from the house entrance and the kitchen. On the other side of the veranda is a lounge area perfect in the evening when the children are in bed and you just want to enjoy the chirping of the grasshoppers and the mild climate with a last drink. At the back of the house there is another small, covered terrace with a seating area for our people. The beauty of this terrace is that it is directly accessible from two of the three bedrooms. The terrace is also surrounded by a wooden gate and can be closed off with a door. A basketball court is available to house guests. Afterwards, take a refreshing dip in the private pool.
The family-friendly character and design are also confirmed inside the villa. We particularly like the fact that, following the restoration, the villa has a large dining/living and kitchen area that combines all the functions that a family uses together (apart from the private areas of the bedroom, of course) into a shared living space. The wooden table with wooden chairs is in the centre of the room. There is plenty of space here, which gives the room a spacious feel. The walls are decorated with agricultural implements, which illustrate the original agricultural use of this property. To the right of the dining area is the open-plan kitchen area, where the oak ceiling beams are exposed. The chic, dark wooden kitchen does not need to hide in a closed room. The full technical equipment makes self-catering for your individual holiday easy. To the left of the dining area, separated by an oak arch, is a cosy living area painted in sunny yellow. Black leather furniture as a cosy seating area in front of a cast-iron fireplace and in front of the modern LCD TV invite you to enjoy a cosy evening. From the living area you reach the master bedroom with a 1.60 metre wide double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are located in the corridor leading off the dining area. The two bedrooms share a bathroom, with both bathrooms equipped with modern walk-in showers. One of the two bedrooms is furnished with a 1.60 metre wide double bed, the third bedroom is a classic children's room with a double bunk bed, while the lower bed has a queen-size bed measuring 1.40 metres. From these two bedrooms, you also have access to the small, child-proof fenced terrace. You can enjoy the start of the day with a coffee in the morning sun before you start planning your day and thinking about where you would like to go on your next excursion.
The advantageous location in the fertile plain in the centre of the island, the so-called Pla de Mallorca, means that you can discover Mallorca's many attractions from here. Due to its proximity to the road (which can be heard depending on the wind), you can quickly reach Manacor in 3.5 km, where you can not only do your daily shopping, but also stroll and shop in one of the largest towns on the island. And you can easily reach coastal towns such as Porto Cristo, where you can stroll along the promenade and enjoy a snack in one of the cafés and restaurants. A visit to the stalactite caves near Artà, the Coves des Dracs, is not only interesting for children. For a day by the sea, you can choose between the beautiful beaches on the east coast, known as Calas de Mallorca. Here you will find fantastic, almost unspoilt natural beaches such as Cala Varques. At the end of the day, the authentic Villa Son Fangos awaits its guests and you can relax with a dip in the pool or a barbecue and enjoy togetherness with your family or as a couple, as the villa can also be rented for two people at a reduced price.
The typical Mallorcan villa Son Fangos is located just outside the town of Manacor on the way to Felanitx. You can do your daily shopping quickly and easily in nearby Manacor, where there is also a lovely farmers' market every Monday. The beautiful beaches, such as the secluded and almost untouched natural bay of Cala Varques, are easy to reach by hire car.
