Loyalist Cottage

Host is wonderful! Caretaker is friendly and knowledgeable. Location is ideal to stores. Beach is breathtaking and the locals are warm and friendly. Boat rental from Conch Pearl on Man O War clean, comfortable and well maintained. Dock and Dine Restaurant-outstanding food of the Bahamas. Great to see the wonderful recovery from hurricane Dorian. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Man-O-War Cay best deal

Above, we really enjoyed meeting the local folks. Location right by the island grocery and coffee shop—also ice cream shop and hardware store nearby. We enjoyed the coral reefs, snorkeling, spear fishing and finding conch shells. Three nice churches on the island. The beds were comfortable and we loved the amazing kitchen, preparing fish every evening.

Just as advertised!

This was the perfect home for what we needed! My wife, sister and her husband all stayed at the home and it was the perfect amount of space for 4 adults. The pictures and description are spot on! We had friends in other homes on MOW that we also spent time with. We will be back!

Lost and Found

We wanted a very quiet and comfortable accommodation for a couple of weeks . We have visited Man of War three times before and are quite familiar with the island and with your cottage. It was comfortable and quite adequate for our needs . My only comment negatively would be the lack of lounges or fold up lawn chairs that can be taken to the beach and a good interior clean up including cupboards.

Wonderful Stay

The cottage is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with pans and dishes. The VRBO pics tell an accurate story of what the cottage looks like. Our hosts - Charmaine and Glenn - were very fun and helpful during our stay and they made getting to know the island easy. The location of the cottage is in the heart of the Man o War settlement, which makes walking around a breeze. Don't miss the museum and coffee shop, and Russells for some very good baked goods and meals. Thanks to all on Man o War - especially Charmaine and Glenn. You made our stay so special.

Amazing Abacos

Our stay was amazing even with a couple of rainy days (funny how things always seem to work out, especially on MOW). Our hosts were quite gracious, kind, and very helpful. We appreciate all they did for us. The waters around MOW are truly WOW. Lost and Found is exactly what we needed and the owner was right, we weren’t there long enough. We look forward to a return visit.

Lost and Found in MOW

Close to everything in settlement. Everything was as described and we easily used generator when island had rolling blackouts during 2 days of our stay. If both bedrooms had Queen beds it would be great for 2 couples. We got golf cart and were able to go all over the island with our friends he. Would love to build deck so you could have cocktails looking over harbor otherwise not much of a view . Great 7 day intro to MOW.

Lovely property in peaceful, convenient location ..

Man O War Cay is a very unique community. People are friendly and helpful. All the beaches are lovely and practically deserted. We did not rent a golf cart which is the mode of transportation on the cay and just walked everywhere. We did rent a boat to explore the other cays. Lost and Found is ideally located in the settlement. The cottage was as presented online and met our expectations. We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen (no main restaurant on this cay) , cleanliness, and overall condition.

Finally, we came back to Man O War!

We took the G and L ferry to MOW and were greeted by are Charmaine and Glen, our caretakers. Lost and Found was just how we remembered it. The AC is cold, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the grocery store is next door. Glenn showed us how to use the whole home generator in case the power went off. The owner let us use his slip for our rental boat and it was just a short walk to the dock. We went on our daily adventures and was pleased to see that the people of the Abacos are hard at work rebuilding. We had a great time and as usual the people are very friendly. The Albury Sail shop is up and running, the grocery store is well stocked, and the power grid is stable, so go to Man O War Cay and visit your old friends or make some new ones!!

Enjoyed the lost and found

Very close to the public dock, Directly behind the grocery store, so able to get groceries easily. Could easily not use a golf cart if you don’t need to go elsewhere on the island. AC was very cold. Would stay here agai.

Location, location, location!

Great stay for 1 1/2 weeks. Cottage is perfect for me, mom & dad. Great central location near the boat dock which we utilized for 6 days. Also a close walk to the G&L ferry. Groceries and wonderful coffee shop right up the block. MOW is our favorite island in the Abacos - just our cup of tea - easy, quiet, quaint and of course beautiful. Miss the “low place” already.

Relaxing and Beautiful

This is the best place to lay back, leave your fancy clothes home, and enjoy yourself. This adorable cottage is well located so that it is easy to enjoy this quaint island town. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. We loved having the grocery store and coffee shop right by us. We ordered a lemon meringue pie from Russell's. So good!! We did rent a golf cart to go to our favorite swimming place but you can easily walk it. We enjoyed getting to know the people and joined them at church several times. This is our second stay at Lost and Found and hope to visit again. The host was very good at communicating and the on island caretakers, Charmaine and Glenn, we very attentive. Thanks to everyone that may our stay at Man O War wonderful!!!

Man O War Loyalist Cottage

What a great place to visit!! Lost and Found is a very comfortable, clean, and easy place to stay. The location, right in the heart of the settlement, makes boating, groceries, beaches, and the fascinating history of Man O War right next door. The local residents are kind, very helpful, and patient. Man O War has made a remarkable recovery from Dorian, and the future will bring even more amenities to the island as they continue to rebuild. Thanks to Dick, Glenn and Charmaine, Dave and Micah from Conch Pearl boat rentals, and especially to the ladies from MOW Grocery for taking care of me!!

Great stay, great rental.

Our group of 3 adults loved our stay at Lost and Found. We were met at the new MOW G&L Ferry dock by the very personable caretaker, Charmaine. Charmaine helped get us settled in and throughout our stay, was available when we had additional questions. We also had a chance to meet Glenn when the island had a little electrical outage but the generator at Lost and Found was easily started and kept everything running as usual (power was restored within a couple of hours). All 3 of us enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The house feels homey and the central location on a side road is great. Thanks Charmaine, Glenn and Dick for a wonderful trip! Bill H.

Perfect

This is the second year in a row we have booked here, and hope to for many more years ahead. We are a family of four with two children, and it suited us perfectly. It is interesting that such a small space feels so spacious. The house is so well designed that even after 8 days, we did not feel cramped or crowded. It’s clear the house is meant to be lived in as it has all the random things you need on a daily basis but never think to pack, much less find in a vacation home (an umbrella, the one off kitchen utensil you have in the drawer at home, that one weird pan that is the perfect size for what you needed). The location is incredibly convenient- it’s like living in the center of downtown, if there was a down town, because everything is a two minute walk away, and the only traffic noise you hear is the one or two golf carts cruising the island at 8 pm. It’s clean, not just tidy (there is a difference). And somehow, I have never seen a bug inside the house. This is no mean feat in the islands, and it is especially important if you have ever had the misfortune to run across a palmetto bug. (Do not look it up if you are from the North. Trust me) Overall, it is our dream house. If you book this property, which honestly, you just should, please just make sure to leave a week open sometime in summer so our family can book there in 2020.

Inviting cottage

Our family of 4 loved this cottage. Very welcoming & comfortable. It had everything we needed and we looked forward to returning to it each night after boating. The use of the golf cart allowed us to explore the island and was very convenient!

Amazing!

From the moment we stepped on the island we were taken care of. The property managers were amazing. The house was amazing. The location was amazing. Even the golf cart was amazing. I would give 5 gold stars for my experience and stay on Man O War. Just amazing!
