Pros: Great location! Close to the gondola where you walk right across the street. Very dog friendly property. Pool was great and workout gym was solid. Cons: Room smelled like there have been quite a few dogs in there. Bed sagged in the middle a little bit. You don’t get the daily room service as if you were a hotel guest. Overall it was a good stay with just a few things that could have been better.

Great little studio for me, my husband and our dog. Over looks the village and you can watch the gondolas glide by. The host was great providing all the details you need. Onsite underground parking was super convenient. I don’t usually write reviews but the cleanliness and homey feel made it worth a comment. It was nice to have a place this nice where we could bring our dog with us.

Rude, Confrontational Host

This trip was booked well in advance, and we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, the day before our arrival, a wildfire blocked the main road into Mammoth. Given the circumstances, we reached out to the host the night before to inquire about the possibility of rescheduling.Despite multiple attempts, we were unable to reach him for several hours, extending into the next day. When we finally did make contact, the host was immediately confrontational—raising his voice and speaking in an unprofessional manner. Rather than showing understanding given the emergency situation, he dismissed our concerns, laughed at our request, and abruptly ended the call.Unfortunately, VRBO was equally unhelpful in resolving the issue. Despite the unforeseen and dangerous conditions, they offered little support or flexibility, which only added to our frustration.We were deeply disappointed by both the host’s behavior and VRBO’s lack of assistance. Based on this experience, we would not recommend this host or booking through VRBO.

Good property

Cleanliness of property: coffee, Kleenex, and lint brush for dog hair were all absent from property. Owner needs to be more diligent. Communication: owner responded immediately re missing coffee, however, failed to communicate re planned electricity shutdown and for about 24 hours after I notified him.Next time, I'll book directly thorough the Westin Monache itself.

Back again !

We come back every year with our Husky (since she was a puppy) and always have the best time. It feels like home as we know exactly where everything is. This place has become special to us as we have built so many memories. The place is always super clean and tidy with everything you need and more. We will be back again next year !

Conveniently located

This is a great location for access to the village and gondola to the ski runs. If you end up on the other side of the mountain, you can take the bus conveniently back to the village. Ski and board rentals are right across the street as well

Last Minute Get-Away

Loved staying here. Perfect location to walk to The Village or many other places. Convenient underground parking and easy access to our room. Was set up great for the two of us. Great central location for the many hikes we took. Would definitely stay there again, especially in the fall. Less crowds and beautiful fall colors.

Lots of Vrbo rentals at the Westin and I would not choose this one again.

I was very happy to have a pet friendly condo and the check in process is very smooth. When I called about struggles with the WIFI the owner was very curt and rude. With so many places to stay at the Westin I would not go back because the person to person interaction I had with the owner. And the Unit was over personalized.

Wonderful stay

Size was good for 2 adults with older kid and a dog. Studio was in a great location, the hotel was beautiful, and everything with the room was as described. Much nicer than other hotels in the area. Property manager was very accommodating when something came up and we requested a late check out. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great stay

Everything was smooth and easy. Great property and location. I had no issues, so no need to contact the host. Perfect retreat for myself and two small pooches. I ski Mammoth every winter, how wonderful to enjoy it in the summer!

Another great stay

This was our third stay at the property with our 3 yr old Siberian Husky. Everything was perfect as usual. Checkin is super fast and easy. You can’t beat the location and the place is clean tidy and has everything that you would need. They even have a doggy blanket which is a nice touch. We can’t wait to come back again next year! Thank you for having us !
