The place definitely needs a few upgrades and maintenance. The downstairs guest bathroom: The hot water does not work. Also, the window covering is missing, you could feal the cold coming in, plus the unit across the street had a birds eye view of me changing. Upstairs Kitchen: Also missing a window cover over the sink.The cabinet handles came off when attempting to open. The jacuzzi smelled of mold/mildew, which was VERY disappointing. The Jaccuzzi was definitely NOT clean. One of the main reasons we went with this unit, was to have access to the jacuzzi after skiing all day. Living room couch is a joke. The backs of the couch detached just by simply leaning back on them.

Arrived to condo inside temperature at 45 degrees. Fireplace wasn’t working. Dining area heater won’t turn on had to be reset inside the protective screen. Had to warm up the place with the stove and oven on. 5 hrs later and endless text message with management maintenance guy arrived to reset the dining heater and fix fireplace.

Pictures of course made it nicer than reality. Too be expected. What I did not expect, was the hot tub having so much chlorine in it, that running it felt like you gave yourself a chlorine chamber. 10 seconds in there, coughing up a storm. Not to mention, mildew/mold on the hot tub. Sewage smell from two bathrooms. Toilets wouldn't work too well. In their defense, they did send someone over quickly to try and deal with it. Would not reccomend staying here. Too many rules, but they don't seem to put much care into their place. Funny they say no pets, but clearly you can tell the owners have pets themselves with the pet hair around the home. Just thought that was interesting.

Inaccurate listing

I’ll agree with lots of others, but this place is nothing like the photos, and extremely misleading. The photos need to be updated and seem like they were taken right after the faux renovation. This place is poorly maintained. Lots of things are barely hanging on the wall/coming out of the drywall, the cheap countertop paper is coming off, is musty, dirty bedding, old, and overpriced. They need better cookware and more utensils in the kitchen. The drawers are empty and there’s limited things to use. We did laundry our last night, it’s a combo one, and we had our clothes set to dry overnight. Woke up to an error code that it lost power and our close never dried. I asked for trash bags to be delivered so we could take our wet clothes home and no one came. Poor communication and poor customer service. It’s in a good area, close to the resort, shopping, and has plenty of parking. The place heats well and kept us warm during the storm. But that’s about all the good. Pictures need to be updated, needs to be truly renovated, and properly maintained. I would not come back and I would not recommend this place/company to others.

STAY AWAY! DISTURBING!

This place is beyond a disaster. Carpet stains, shower stains, musty smell, bugs crawling around, outdated, dingy, disturbing, cracked, maybe ok for homeless shelter at best. I never complain or post negative reviews but this place is an exception. Insects crawling around as I walk in. My guests and I walked out as soon as we toured the property and had to rent something else. STAY AWAY!!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE – DISGUSTING, UNSAFE & SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband, three young kids, and I had a nightmare experience. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a strong moldy smell. The fireplace didn’t work, the carpets were filthy, and small bugs were crawling around. The shower smelled awful, the kitchen plates and glasses were dirty, and the couch reeked of dust and mildew. Concerned for our child with respiratory issues, we immediately called management. Their solution? Someone showed up with Lysol spray. That’s it. No real cleaning, no concern—just a pathetic attempt to mask the filth. We spent three miserable nights, feeling unsafe and disgusted. On the last day, our kids used the jacuzzi on the balcony. The next day, while driving home, all three developed red dots all over their bodies. A doctor confirmed it was a bacterial infection likely from dirty jacuzzi water. When we called management again, they said there was nothing they could do—zero accountability. I am BEYOND horrified. This place is a health hazard, and management doesn’t care. The pictures are a LIE. This place should be SHUT DOWN immediately. Stay anywhere else unless you want to risk your health, money, and sanity. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Some issues, but met our basic needs

We rented this property to be close to a film festival’s venues. It met our needs as far as a place to sleep and shower. We made breakfast 2x as well. Issues we had: - Temperature regulation. One of my friends arrived before me and said windows upstairs had been left open and it was freezing for about an hour after he arrived, while waiting for the heat to pick up. The King bedroom would get much hotter than we set the temp to overnight. The fireplace was a little tough to operate, but we got the hang of that. - Cleanliness. That same friend who arrived first found dirty clothes in the upstairs bathroom, most likely from a previous guest that the cleaning service missed before our arrival. - Safety. There were nails sticking up through the wood around the hot tub in an area you needed to use to reach the jet controls for the tub. One of my friends stepped on one. Luckily he didn’t step hard enough to break skin. The tub was serviced on our way out and the technician noticed there may be a leak in the windows above the hot tub. There are also several leaking windows on the first floor. Our phones got wet on the windowsill on the first night. - Electrical. This was resolved pretty quickly by us resetting the breaker box, but be aware that none of the outlets may work at your time of arrival. - Bed descriptions. The downstairs King and Queen were as described. But the sofa bed upstairs isn’t a standard sofa bed. It’s more of a sectional that can be rearranged into a queen

A clean slate!

Some of the previous reviews concerned us but I can assure you it was for no reason! All previously mentioned issues have been addressed and are definitely no concern. The place was super clean, fresh smelling, clean and hot jacuzzi, and PERFECT for any trip up to mammoth. With 2 bedrooms and plenty of space, this place felt HUGE. DO NOT let the old reviews make you pass up this place, we will now only come back here! Trust me, youll love it too

Bring candles! Unless you like a musty smell that is pervasive in the entire property. The good? Hot tub inside was nice, no jets but water was perfect and tub was clean. Plenty of utensils and there is a Kurig coffee machine (bring your own kcups). The property contains an encyclopedia of instructions, particularly for the old fridge that barely seems to work. Parking was easy peasy so loading/unloading was a breeze. Lots of games to entertain.

Electrical problem

The power for the tv and wifi failed many times due to the one line from circuit breaker keeps switching off. We couldn’t use the tv more than 30 -60 min, including the wifi power, and master bedroom lights. That’s the only issue we have other than everything is good. Too bad about the circuit breaker.

Very Disappointing. Will never stay here again.

I am really disappointed by our experience with this property. Online it looked beautiful and upon comparing it with other options in the area, we decided to pick this pricier option because we were excited to utilize the hot tub all weekend. Needless to say, when we arrived we opened the hot tub to find dirt and gunk every where and gross stuff floating in the water. We then called the property and asked politely if they could send someone to please clean the spa that we paid the extra money to have all weekend. They told us they would be sending someone and no one ever came to fix it. This was a huge damper on the weekend as that was one of the things we were most looking forward to at the end of a long day. The kitchen also had dust and on the countertops and the blinds in the kitchen were broken hanging off to the side. It was not nearly as nice in person as what the listing pictured. It looked like no one had come to do a deep clean before we arrived. So disappointing considering the price that was paid. On top of all of that, the listing at the time mentioned having a pulling couch, which it absolutely did not. So when we got there someone had to sleep on the floor. Because of their inaccurate listing, we had one person that paid all this money only to have to sleep on the ground for the weekend. Not ideal. When we reached out to get a refund issued due to all of this, we were told they would put us into contact with someone that could help. We followed up for 4 months following the stay and no one replied to our emails or issued us any refund. We were out a lot of money that could have been much better spent on a clean comfy space had we picked a different place to stay. Very infuriated by this situation. Out of a lot of money that they still refuse to refund. Poor customer service. Gave them a chance to redeem themselves and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when I followed up with a phone call and still they provided no solutions and refused to give us back our money even after all of that. I will never stay in a vacasa rental again. Will be telling my friends and family as well. Customer should always come first, and this entire trip was spent trying to get into contact with the Vacasa property team.

Things to consider.

The property is a little run-down. The Spa was broken during our visit. It was impossible to keep the upstairs cool enough to entertain friends (we were there in late June). While the complex was quiet, the noise from one of the large bedrooms frequently partially flushes, which keeps anyone sleeping in that room waking up on each flush.

Mostly great…

This property and the management made for a nice short getaway. There are clear (easy!) updates that can be made that would make it even better. Others reviews mentioned missing knobs on the kitchen drawers. Still missing and so easy to replace! Cleaner, newer pans. There was only one and it was grimy, with food stuck on it, not usable. Not sure what the couch covering is but kind of creepy and could be instantly better with some clean slip covers. Again, nothing major but these little details can easily boost up the place.

Love it! Will stay again whenever I come to Mammoth

It was such a lovely place! The hot tub is very easy to use. Instruction for the house is really straightforward and easy. My girlfriends all loved it as soon as they arrived. It is about 10 minutes away from ski lodges and lifts. The house is warm,. we all loved huddling right next to the fireplace after our ski session. The house has some age so sometimes things fail to work. But it's super easy to reach the manager and maintenance team, and they are available 24 hours. We had a few outlets not working for some reason at the start but the team fixed for us within the hour. They are very familiar with the house so they were able to fix it right away once they arrived. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay! Will definitely stay again next time.
