Lovely basement/lower level set up. The landscaping surrounding the house was what you noticed first. It was beautiful and very well tended. The whole area near there was really quiet from what we observed. It was raining when we 1st arrived so we were surrounded by the wonderful green and we got to soak in the hot tub and listen to the rain falling through the leaves. The inside is a vibe! Very nicely put together with thoughtful additions here and there that were delightful. It was so clean and artfully decorated, I felt like we were staying in something straight out of a magazine. The couple that occupied the upstairs kept mostly to themselves, and we could hear their dogs every now and then, but it wasn't disruptive. And the dogs are beautiful when they let them out to get their zoomies out or to go potty. We doordashed pizza, and our host was outside with the dogs a d she was nice volunteered to go get it while I got to visit with the fur babies so they didn't try to follow her out of the yard. This was our first Vrbo with others in the home and we weren't sure what to expect, but overall it was a beautiful home space that we got to share, and our upstairs neighbors helped make that a bonus! 10/10 We would choose to stay here again.

Enjoy Madison from a place in a beautiful natural setting

This is a lovely renovated 1-bedroom apartment with garden, next to a beautiful conservation area where you can hike. It's a perfect place for a couple. It's located on the western edge of Madison, but only a short car ride from the centre of town. Check-in was seamless and communication with Rachael with easy. If you want to enjoy Madison from an accommodation more in nature, this is highly recommended.

Wonderful Getaway!

My husband and I live hear Chicago and wanted a quick getaway and this beautiful apartment felt like a home away from home. The hosts thought of every detail when designing this fun and very functional space (even the shower soap was a special luxury!) The bed was incredibly comfortable and the fireplace added warmth and coziness. We would love to stay here again!

Great little get away!

My husband and I booked the anchor inn for a weekend away in Madison. It was amazing! Close to everything we were doing up this way. The house was clean and decorated cutely, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax for a couple hours! The hosts were wonderful too!

Amazing Getaway

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here over Winter break and it was a complete dream. The place is pristine and has absolutely everything you need (chargers on the bedstand!?!). We felt completely at home and enjoyed the fire place and hot tub to warm us up. Took a nice walk to the local tavern and had the BEST cheeseburger. Owners are amazing and we got to meet their sweet pups (best part is, they understand not everyone loves dogs - and let you take the lead on that). Overall, would recommend this beautiful space to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some peace away from home.

Cozy place with great hosts!

The place was perfect for what we were looking for in Madison and we had an overall amazing stay. Rachael and Mikey were excellent hosts, and so were their fur babies! They all made the stay extra magical. You can tell they take pride in keeping the property well-maintained, as well as paying great detail to accommodations and decorations. The location was perfect for us: 15 minutes from downtown Madison, shopping, dining, as well as being close to plenty of hiking and outdoor activities. We’ll definitely be coming back to stay again with them!
