  • Walk the DNR trail located next to the home to downtown area and restaurants, or grill at home. Free access to indoor water park 1/2 block away and 2400' of private sandy beach. Home is new and in a quiet secluded setting off of the main road, but within walking distance to downtown. Front and rear porches provide great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Nice house and a good location, but lacked some of the basic amenities you would expect in the house. As long as you know that going in. It’s a great bargain for the price.

Overall the house is clean and roomy. It has nice high ceilings. Could use more kitchen pans and utensils for cooking. The location is difficult to find, and GPS does not find the accurate address.

What a nightmare to find. The idea that we had to go to Days Inn was strange. They drew a map for us to find the place. Gave us the wrong info that lead us to a dead end. Then we finally found it after talking to several people. House was not secure. The back door would not close. Smelled like mold in all the rooms. The furniture was replaced with outdated Days Inn furniture. Not the same decor or furniture in the pictures. We were deceived. Eerie feeling being in that home.

We picked up the key at a motel near by but the property was hard to find .. we never received clear directions..... once we walked in we realized the house wasn’t cleaned.. host didn’t provide us direct contact number we called the motel back and they said they don’t manage the property and they will not share host contact info. We messaged the host in vrbo app, no response for couple of hours … we finally called vrbo directly and they agreed to refund our money after arguing with them for over an hour. We had to find a hotel at night .. I still haven’t heard from the host

Such a fun stay and an amazing location for those not wanting neighbors and a short trip into the city. Great for bigger groups and loved we had access to the water park.

The dishwasher didn’t work, I tried to notify our contact, but I wasn’t able to get ahold of them. There is a laundry facility that shares the driveway, and sometimes their trucks block you in. We did enjoy our stay.

Big house with plenty of parking and privacy

The house was secluded so that was a huge plus. Plenty of parking as well if you have multiple cars. Communication with host was lacking until the week of the stay. That aside, very nice stay.

When we checked in property wasn't ready. THE property is owned by Days Inn, very unsanitary,smelled of mold,had to go to Walmart to buy many supplies for our stay. Location is odd by laundry facilities. Quiet location but wouldnt recommend. The waterpark is freezing n in disrepair-very filthy.

Beautiful Big House in Mackinaw

We loved the house. It was very clean and roomy. This house was built to be lived in. What a great location for a day visit to Macinaw Island or bridge access and northern Michigan. Some highlights: Red Tail Fox in back yard, Extra cedar sun room ( favorite morning coffee place), very comfortable beds and furnishings, Very Very clean, Fire pit with lots of outdoor seating, full kitchen, terrific master bedroom with spa tub and big walk-in showers. Easy to check-in, out and to find. As they say, bring your own entertainment and hot spot. WiFi in the area was good.

Large house, showing some wear, you won’t be able to see the exterior soon, as the growth is taking over, not in a great place, if I hadn’t read the reviews I’m not sure I would have found it. It needs a deep cleaning on walls, ceiling fans, and wall decor, getting and returning the key super easy. The tv remotes didn’t work, along with the dvd player. But, I would still stay there again.

The location is terrible

This house is located off a road that appears to be owned by a hotel. The house is directly next to warehouses and some type of linen cleaning facility. This house will not allow you to feel like your on vacation.

Beautiful

It was a good stay. My family travels a lot and we have stay in many rental homes. This one was very clean, big and in a beautiful area. We really enjoyed our vacation. We were able to grill out and have a fire at night. It did not have WIFI, but we did ok without it. Absolutely love this home!

Could be nice.

Beautiful home, but very neglected. What a shame, you can tell at one time this was a very nice home, but looks very neglected in recent times. Beautiful location, but awful trying to get to it. It needs a dedicated drive and not share with the laundry facility.

Horrible location and literally no amenities

House smelled musty, heat stopped working, furniture is not comfortable, no internet, no TV service, no hot water at first either. House is located next to the industrial cleaning facility that does all the laundry for the hotels.It is secluded, which is nice, and right near downtown Mackinaw City.

Family vacation

It was perfect for my family. Check in was easy but I don't think I could have found it on my own. House was very clean. It was right on this trail so it was easy to ride bikes to the ferry dock, even with small kids. The waterpark access was a nice extra. All the kids really loved it. Great for families!

The property was very clean and well maintained. I think the only thing that I would have liked that wasn't provided was an internet connection.
