We had a great stay at Mapi Gardens! They were in a great location, the staff were friendly, the room was nice, and the free breakfast in the morning was wonderful! They also let us keep our bags there while we went to Machu Picchu during the day, which was so kind!

Chambre simple maus fonctionnelle, personnel très aimable et à l'écoute, eau chaude et petit déjeuner copieux. Restaurant de l'hôtel plutôt pratique et à un prix raisonnable (seul inconvénient : la pollution générée par les trains, tout proches de l'hôtel)

Breakfast was good. I happen to like trains so it was fine, but if you aren’t a fan, you should know you are right next to the station.

Our room was very basic but very clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. It was a little noisy at times - the walls are thin. Curiously, there was no hot water hookup to the bathroom sink (we turned on the shower if we needed hot water). Location was excellent and the included breakfast was good.

Clean room and it was very spacious, the staff went above and beyond. The toilet was overflowing and staff came and sorted it asap and clean everything up. Had to check out very early to go up to Machu Picchu, they left me a breakfast bag at he front desk to take with me. Note: the front desk isn’t 24hrs but they will try and accommodate your needs. Great for leaving your luggage whilst hiking Machu Picchu. Definitely recommend this place, as it’s near the train station, markets for souvenirs and food places.

Excellent service. Greeted us at the train station. Just a short walk from the train station. It was a fair breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs. It was the level of service that made this great. We sent out our laundry twice. The washroom is a tight fit. We enjoyed the family room with 3 beds.

We had a room facing the train station and it was so loud late into the night and early in the morning. The fumes coming from the train were so intense and nauseating. We kept the windows and curtains closed to help with the noise and fumes, but that didn’t help.

The only reason we gave Mapi Gardens 4 stars is because of its location. It is conveniently located; however, many of the hotel rooms face the train station, which is loud and very, very smoky (fumes). If we had a room that didn't face the train station, it would have been a lot better. The staff was great. The homemade breakfast options were great. It is a clean, safe hotel. Just request a room that does not face the station.

Only complaint was the location. We had the family room that was infront of the train station so we diesel fumes all day long . The room was hot and we had to choose between fumes or cooler air. The family who runs this place is absolutely amazing, they couldn't be more helpful. Beds were comfortable . I would recommend but see if there is a room not at the front

Finding the hotel was difficult but we were lucky to find the Tourism Office and after a quick call a hotel member appeared and escorted us to the hotel. It is a budget hotel although as it was only for one night it acceptable, well that was until we found out they they had allocated our double room to someone else, and she was travelling on her own!!! The room they offered us instead was directly facing the sun and the temperature was well over 40 degrees even with the curtains closed. And the room had a single bed with a double, it was a bit cramped. They offered us another room of the same blistering heat... And then another only this time on a floor above, same issue, the heat was unbearable. By this time I was getting upset and annoyed and told him to give me the room we had booked but he was unwilling to tell the lady occupant to move to another room. Eventually we were shown an internal room that was much cooler but with two single beds. Rather than go hunting for another hotel we reluctantly accepted this as we were only staying one night. Had we been staying longer we would have transferred to another hotel. As we had early morning entrance tickets to Machu Picchu and needed to catch the 06.00hrs bus the hotel arranged for a take-away breakfast which was a very nice gesture. This was not a good Expedia experience.
