We booked this property for a family getaway specifically because it was heavily advertised as a "waterfront home." The main listing photo shows a beautiful fire pit area right on the water. Unfortunately, the reality of the property is completely different.Upon arrival, instead of water, we found a dried-up, unmaintained ditch entirely overgrown with tall weeds. When we reached out to the host regarding this, they simply pointed to a hard-to-find note in the listing about "seasonal access." However, a neighbor informed us that the water barely reaches a foot deep these days, which is why the area has been abandoned and left to overgrow. To make matters worse, we weren't provided access to the POA park, leaving us with absolutely no water access for our entire trip. It felt like a scam. The sleeping arrangements were also unacceptable. The advertised "3rd bedroom" is actually a detached utility room. It lacks proper ventilation and smelled so bad that no one in our family felt comfortable sleeping there. We ended up having people sleep on the floor in the living room instead. To be fair and highlight the positives: the home does feature a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable, spacious living room.
