I can't say enough about Maggie's lake house. Very clean, organized, comfortable, and well stocked. I have already recommended this house to the locals I met. I would definitely stay here again if my travels crossed paths with Gun Barrel City. Thank you, Maggie! Vickie's BBQ is a must!

We had our annual holiday vacation here and had a great time. (4 adults, 3 under ten, 5 teenagers, and 2 dogs) It was a cozy space for 12 people but we didn't feel especially cramped or anything. Each of the rooms were each on their own floor which helped with us spreading out. We enjoyed having 2 different levels of hang out spaces when different groups wanted to do different things. Pros: Very very clean!!! Beautiful view. Check out was exceptional. Great hosts. Very responsive and always available. A lot of clean, fluffy towels. Cons: a lot of bugs on the back porch. But that's just mother nature.TLDR: If you want a clean space with good views for a big group, Horizon Luxe is the place to book!

Couldn’t ask for a better stay for our weekend getaway to Canton Trade Days. The host was fabulous, very clean facility, nice neighborhood, and a wonderful view. Can’t wait to stay again soon!

It was so beautiful place ever. Plenty size of space for families and pet friendly. Good communication with property owner when may it have a issue while we are in there. Very peaceful place ever. We were so enjoyed . Thank you so much. We hope visit again.

Perfect for Framily Getaways!

Quick and easy check in/out. Host was very responsive and generous! Our family of four and framily (family of 5) enjoyed all the amenities of the house and lake! We utilized the canoes and dock. The lift made for easy in/out boat accessibility. The kids enjoyed the dock slide and using the bucket to keep the slide quick and cool! Additionally, we brought along our two furry friends. Five paw review from them! Thank you Maggie & Michael for a wonderful stay!

Pre-check-in communication was good. The code I had didn't work at first, but a quick call to the property manager got me in. The property was clean, and the AC was set to a comfortable temperature, so the space felt welcoming upon arrival. The boat dock had a deck on top. The slide needs a water source to use, so we had to use a cooler filled with water. I couldn't find the light switch to turn on the lights on the top deck of the boat dock. We didn't use the firepit. However, I will note that the listing lists a "generous" supply of firewood... I would order firewood if you plan to use the pit alot while you are there. In the house, several ceiling fans were missing their pull chains and the adjacent light switch didn't turn on the fan or light. We found when cooking that key utincels like spatulas, mixing bowls, cookie sheet, etc. were missing from the kitchen. Fortunately, a Walmart is just down the street so we went out and purchased what we needed to cook for the group. If you plan to cook for and serve a group in the property, I would recommend you bring what you need for the kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure for the sinks and toilet were good, but the shower was weak. The furniture in the living room was comfortable and combining the dining furniture provided enough seats for the group to watch TV. The TV's worked fine. Overall, it was a good value for the price. We would stay there again.

Spacious

Overall, this was a great place. There was plenty of space and bedding for 9 of us (6 adults + 3 kids). The kids bunks were fantastic and felt like little cubbies for each one. The kitchen was lacking bowls, but other than that, we enjoyed the stay.

Fall Family Getaway

Loon Bay Escape was exactly that for our family. We fished off the dock, did some kayaking, grilled, played pool, sat on the deck, watched the sunsets, and thoroughly enjoyed the time away from the hustle and bustle of the DFW area. The home was adequately stocked with everything we could ask for during our visit. DJ was an amazing host who quickly answered all my questions before and during our stay. This one is going on the list for next year's October Family Getaway.

Great Place!

The house and location were great! Paula was awesome about getting back to me with my million questions. Check in and out was simple and we were even offered a late checkout if needed. The house had everything that we needed and the boys loved fishing off of the deck which was amazing! Would definitely recommend and we hope to be back again!!

Family Fun

Great house for a large family. So many options for fun- game room, kayak, paddle boat, trampoline, water access. Very close location to LouLous, which was a lot of fun for our group. We brought our boat and were able to store it in the boat slip. The house is completely updated and very clean! It has everything we needed for our stay.

Girls Trip

Place is amazing. Great space and clean. From the time we got here until the time we left everything was great. The owner was always a txt away if we needed something. The dock is nice and peaceful. Very relaxing! Plenty of sleeping space.
