Thanks for your review. We are sorry you found our local shanty singers "Noisy", they are part of the local community and people travel here just to listen to them on a Thursday evening, apologies if you found that "strange" . Considering it is peak season and there is a countrywide shortage of hospitality staff, our team work very hard. Maybe you just need to relax a little bit on holiday and enjoy the village atmosphere that so many people visit for.

Thank you for your feedback, glad you found the staff to be friendly. The star rating is an Expedia star rating based on our reviews. The room you booked is snug which can be seen in the photos when booking the room. On some sites we able to list the room size as well. We are hoping to be able to do this on Expedia as well. The room is called the 'Austerity Room' as it has yet to be refurbished. We cannot make it any clearer in the name. The sink did not leak, it was overflowed (we had a plumber check this) the furniture is not falling apart the wardrobe door is a little stiff and the bathroom is not dirty the bath is a little stained and it very clearly says in the room information that there is only a bath and no shower. We could not move you because we were fully booked and cannot magic a room out of thin air, although I so wish we could! As soon as you made us aware of the issues we addressed them straight away, even trimming the offending bush from outside of the window for you! £90 a night for two people in this location in the center of the village, in a first floor room in August is a VERY fair price. If you wanted a newly refurbished room then maybe you should have booked one. Regards
