"This is a pub with a difference, a traditional old New Forest Inn with interesting decor. Also charming New Forest ponies visit daily and stand and watch while you have a beer. "The stables are in an amazing location. Right on Lyndhurst high street. The kitchen and living spaces were brilliant for our large group of 16 adults and 10 kids. Loads of seating. Loads of plates, mugs, glasses. Plenty of parking - easily managed 7 cars.But the standard of cleanliness was very poor, particularly in the bedrooms. We found empty vapes, dirty tissues and cotton buds, cigarettes, nasty stains on the floors and more worryingly, the condition of the mattresses. Some looked like...

"Enjoyed our holiday, the area is truly beautiful waking up to ponies standing in front of the property. Would just make some suggestions. Three ceiling lights in lounge are out, the lights in the dining area flicker constantly clearly a minor problem I’m sure. Light in fridge also out. These are minor issues and I mention them as constructive criticism. Lisa the owner is lovely and keeps contact throughout your booking."
