Oak Tree cabin near the Shenandoah River

  • La cabaña Oak Tree es un alquiler vacacional completamente nuevo que se inauguró en marzo de 2020. Está cerca de nuestras cabañas Eagle's Nest, Tree Top y Eaglet y, como ellos, está cerca del río, sentado en lo alto sobre el río con un área para caminar hasta la orilla del río. Es parte de una ubicación de "trampa para peces" de 18 acres que fue utilizada por los antiguos indios americanos hace cientos de años.

    Oak Tree es una acogedora cabaña con un hermoso exterior e interior modernos. Pisos de madera, electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, televisores de pantalla plana: todo es nuevo, lujoso y espera su disfrute personal. Las imágenes capturan parte de la belleza, el diseño moderno, la naturaleza y los espacios abiertos. ¡Echa un vistazo a esos y bebe todo!

    En términos de tamaño, Oak Tree está destinado a familias individuales o dos parejas para un máximo de 4 personas. Hay un dormitorio y un sofá cama adicional, ambos son de tamaño queen. Un baño para la casa y un cuarto de lavado completo.

New build, yet rustic vibe tucked away in the woods. Enjoyed the wildlife, peace & quiet, for much needed R&R to recharge. Highly recommend!!

Everything about our stay at Oak Tree was as expected. We enjoyed driving down to the riverside for walks and a picnic. The hot tub was clean and hot, and enjoying the stars at night while soaking was special.

The Oak Tree Cabin was a great, cozy stay. It was easy to find and access, but tucked just enough away to be price and peaceful, with a great view of the river and mountain sunrise

Cabin weekend

We had a lovely time at this beautiful mountain retreat. We enjoyed the incredible views, close hiking trails, and the cozy cabin.

A beautiful and wonderful stay at Oak Tree cabin! Communication was perfect, cabin was very clean, and loved the sights! Everything was amazing and the short hike to the river nearby was gorgeous!!

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary weekend with our dog. It was just what we needed! Very quiet area with little distraction. Will definitely book again.

Really nice, secluded getaway. Had a great time, and the property was very clean and comforting. Close enough to Shenandoah Natl. Park, but not close enough to have to sacrifice peace & quiet. Would recommend!

Great weekend getaway

Fantastic little spot for a peaceful weekend getaway. When we arrived the cabin was clean, and easy to access. The cabin had all the basic cooking ammenities we needed. Was close enough to sky line drive and the town of Luray if we need to get anything. If your looking for a quiet and peaceful mountain getaway weekend, this is the spot!

Lovely stay at Oak Tree cabin

Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Cozy, warm and clean. Everything you will need to enjoy your time in Shenandoah valley and the mountains. Short drive to Shenandoah national park and Luray Caverns. The sound of the river and sunrise over the mountains in the morning can't be beat. I appreciated the stocked firewood for the cabin, super convenient.

We stayed between December 26-30. It was fabulous! We had our 9th month old and our dog. They had a Christmas tree!! Our baby loved it. The dog simply laid by the tree looking out the window and sleeping. The fire pit was great. Everything was quiet. The home was clean and my husband was actually quite pleased with the cookware. Highly recommend. It was so nice to get away and do absolutely nothing!!!

Oak Tree

Overall the rental was very pleasant. Clean, good directions, cozy for two person stay. Thought it was closer to the water but still could within walking distance. The issue I have seen in other reviews with the biofilm in the hot tub can be corrected with “SpaPerfect” a treatment will help with that as will changing the filter regularly. Other than that it was a good stay. V/r TR Girganus

Amazing birthday retreat!

My fiancé and I spent my birthday weekend in Oak Tree. We had such a relaxing time in this quaint little cabin. It was perfect for everything we needed! All the necessities needed for cooking/cleaning up were found in the kitchen or laundry room. The round staircase really pulled me in! This cabin is not too far away from anywhere you might want to explore or if you need to make a run to the store. Even though it’s not far, you still feel so secluded. We hope to come back next fall once the foliage starts to change more. Thank you Laura and Kevin for having such an amazing little cabin to escape to!

Scenic and relaxing cabin

From the booking experience to the check-out, communications were timely and thorough. The cabin was clean and well appointed…great accommodations! We booked the cabin with the hot tub in mind, so it was a little disappointing to see that it was older and not quite as clean as expected. The couch in the living room was quite worn. Finally, although the strong smell of sulphur may be an obvious consequence of a septic system, we were unprepared for just how strong the smell would be. Overall, great experience and great owners.

My stay at the Oak Tree rental cabin was nothing short of magical! Nestled in a picturesque setting, this charming cabin offers the perfect escape from everyday life. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its cozy atmosphere and rustic charm, complete with wooden beams, a loft bedroom, and a little fireplace. I was delighted to find s'mores supplies waiting for me, adding an extra touch of fun to our evenings. One of my favorite experiences was stargazing from the hot tub, surrounded by nature. Making a fire in the fire pit was another highlight! The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the dining area offered stunning views through the large windows. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway in a cozy setting, I can’t recommend the Oak Tree cabin enough. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and nature. I can’t wait to return!

Clean yet decieving from listing

The poperty was very clean and cozy, however the water had a horrible sulfur smell. It was so strong that we purchased drinking water and you could smell it just by turning the sink on. The river was not visible from the porch, the short walk to the river was down a steep pathway. The river was not accessible as described as there was no access point, unless you count reeds and high grass. The property was very clean and cozy, just wish the water smell would of been better.

Great getaway!

My husband & I (and our dog) visited Oak Tree last weekend. After a very rough 6 months (death in the family) we wanted to get away for a quiet, relaxing weekend with no distractions. That’s exactly what Oak Tree gave us. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. We took walks down to the lake, soaked in the hot tub and looked at the stars, took a drive through Shenandoah State Park to look at the overlooks & just enjoyed each other’s company. We never even used the fire pit, even though we had all intentions to do so. There is a small town that has anything you need, although we brought food with us from home and made meals. The kitchen served every purpose we were looking for in that regard. All in all it was exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely go back!

Great trip!

I loved the cabin and it was a great trip! The property was amazing and the house manager was excellent with communication. My only issues were that there should have been detailed instructions for using the grill and the bugs made sleeping in the bed impossible. There were so many bugs that came in and were attracted to the bedroom light and they eventually died leaving about 60 dead flys and bugs on the bed by the time we were ready to sleep in it. We ended up using the sofa bed which was perfectly fine. I think it’s easy to get rid of the bugs indoors but there just wasn’t a mechanism to do so during our stay. The house and lake are beautiful though and we enjoyed our trip overall!
