Perfect weekend getaway

Everything promised was delivered! Very clean and cabin is located on a gated community of other cabins. ideally situated 15-20 mins for food, grocery and gas. We will be back!

Cute cabin

Overall, we had a good experience at the cabin. The views are beautiful. Cabin 6 is between two other cabins so not a lot of privacy when you’re sitting outside. The kitchen counters had not been wiped down when we arrived but everything else seemed clean. We did lose power for several hours during our stay which was no one’s fault but the water doesn’t work when the power is out. The Stanley area was very pretty and we enjoyed our visit. There is a diner in town but most other restaurants are 20-30 minute drive. Be aware that there are absolutely no refunds given for cancellations at this cabin which is stated in the ad but after you book, they make you sign an agreement that also says “No refunds will be given due to power blackouts, water shortages, flooding, snow, blizzards, tornadoes, or mandatory evacuations due to hurricanes or other potentially dangerous situations arising from ANY acts of God or nature.”

Restful

It was 4th of July weekend. It was very hot (heat index that weekend was 104). The Ac worked great and everything was there for us to be able to fix breakfast and cook dinner on the grill. Enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the mountains in the afternoon. Visited the Luray caverns one day ( if u need to visit somewhere in the summer that’s the place to go it was about 54 degrees down there and totally amazing.

Peaceful and beautiful

The cabin was very clean and comfortable located in a quiet area with nice views. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and unwinding by the fire pit Luray Caverns and dining options are a short drive away. We elected to have some of our meals in the cabin utilizing both the kitchen and the charcoal grill out back. If this is your preference there is both a Walmart and a Food Lion within 15 minutes away to grab your needs.

Very delightful getaway!

This was a great getaway for me and my fiance; the property owner was around and responsive with all of our needs. The kitchen had everything we needed and the electric fireplace was a great touch. I just wish there was light outside where the hot tub is so that we could have used it during the night time.

Beautiful in cozy with one flaw

The stay was overall great. The property exceeded expectations, as far as appearance goes. One thing though, while it was clean on the surface, I couldn’t help but to notice it lacks regular deep cleanings in between guest. Very dust air duct intake, bottom of bathroom sink was pretty dirty, hand towel ring dusty, etc. Certainly not so bad that I would give a pour rating overall, but the house should address these cleanliness concerns.

Pleasant Mountain Retreat in Virginia’s Cabin Capitol

We enjoyed our stay. The views and spa were quite nice. Cabin was decorated very nicely. Would consider staying here again. The area was beautiful but far from attractions other than the caverns and some hiking trails. The cabin did not come with bathing soaps or cleaning spray. Will need to bring those along.

Hawksbill Retreat

Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Location is great with lots to do in the area. Perhaps upgrading to some sort of streaming service would be better for late night entertainment but overall a amazing spot. Would stay again.

PERFECTION!!!!!!

We did not want to leave. Stayed 3 nights. Loved the area, loved the cabin. It was so quiet and views are surreal! We brought our Kayaks , boat launch was less than 20 miles away, along with stores and restaurants. We had one full day of sun and one day of rain, and enjoyed coffee on the porch on both days. We travel atleast once a year to different places and this was the first time we insisted we had to return.Host checked in on us to assure we were having a good time. Hot tub was perfect for a cool morning, or late night under the stars !!
