"Overall I would stay again, but I think it would be better in the summer. Positives: Great location for exploring south Bruny Island, and handy to the local hotel for meals (we didn't use the cooking facilities). The washing machine was handy, and the shower and hot water was good. Not so positive: The property was a bit cold, even though we used the air conditioner before lighting the wood fire. Once the fire got going the heating was better, however the firebox was full of ashes from...

As long as you set your expectations for camping conditions in a remote part of the world, you will find the structure to be sufficient. The location is spectacular and the jetty is very impressive. "My friend and I stayed a couple of nights in this cute and cosy shack at Alonnah. It was super clean and in a great location to explore Bruny. The only minor issue we came across was that the door to the second bedroom couldn't close (due to the bed frame preventing the door from swinging closed). Otherwise it was great, thanks!"
