Beautiful villa close to everything

We had a great stay here. The best part was probably the the three cats and the dog Stella that we got to see each day. We were disappointed with the lack of a welcoming from the hosts. We were also disappointed in the lack of instructions when we arrived. We were not sure exactly where to park or which doorway we were to go to. It was very confusing. We were also disappointed that the listing was misleading as for the pool it was not heated so we were unable to use it during our stay. The listing also stated there was a hot tub but when we required about it we were told that there was a spa in town…not on the property. Communication was also hard as the hosts did not speak much English. Otherwise they were very friendly and the house was very clean and well stocked.

Perfect in every way

Firstly satnav took us straight to the property withought any issues of trying to find it. The Wednesday before we travelled the hosts WhatsApp messaged me with address and even included a photo of the gate. We were met by Stella the the dog (a very gentle and loving dog) and then Fabrizio, who showed us around the property. Suzanna greeted us a few minutes later and they could not have been more welcoming. The property is large, comfortable and well stocked. They even provided us with a small bottle of limoncello, olive oil and eggs from their hens. They produce their own olive oil and limoncello and we strongly suggest you buy some to take home. The pool area is simply stunning with a fantastic view of the local town. What really surprised us is how close the town was to the villa. Just a short five minute walk. It is very picturesque with plenty of bars and restaurants and not at all "touristy" (which is what we look for). We have never returned to the same destination twice as we like to explore different locations on vacation, but we have all said we will go back to this villa as it is perfect in every way. Thank youSuzanna, Fabrizio and Stella (also your lovely cats). We will return.

Memorable trip to Lucignano!

We had an absolute amazing time! The property was perfect for our group and Susanna and Fabrizio were wonderful hosts! We loved the location and ease of getting to town. There was even a sweet little house dog Stella who we miss!! Would absolutely book this property again!

Beautiful Tuscan Getaway with a View!

This villa was perfect for our family of 6! Spacious and clean and the pool, landscaping and garden in June was incredible. Great place for down time for our children. Walk to Lucignano was short and the location was great for other Tuscan travel. Special touches of homemade limoncello, olive oil, fresh lemons and eggs were appreciated. Highly recommend…

Very pleasant stay in Casa Giulia

Our hosts were very attentive and generous. They not only provided a bowl of vegetables and a bottle of nice white wine on arrival, they also gave a good-bye present of freshly pressed olive oil -- VERY tasty. Our teenage daughters enjoyed separate bedrooms and fast Internet, we parents the spacious kitchen and the large garden and pool area. If we return to Lucignano, we'll surely try to book again. Thanks a lot for your hospitality, Susanna & Fabrizio!

LucignAMO!

Wir haben in dieser Wohnung anderthalb Wochen im heißen Juli verbracht. Und wir hätten es nicht besser treffen können! Die Vermieter Susanna und Fabrizio sind wunderbare Menschen, mit denen wir uns trotz einer gewissen Sprachbarriere immer sehr gut verstanden haben. Wenn man sie brauchte, waren sie stets zur Stelle, ansonsten haben sie sich aber immer im Hintergrund gehalten. Die Aufmerksamkeiten zur Begrüßung, während des Aufenthalts und zum Abschied haben uns sehr gefreut. Die Wohnung ist komplett eingerichtet, sehr sauber und hatte mit ihren drei Schlafzimmern, alle mit eigenem Bad, genau die richtige Größe für uns fünf (Eltern, jugendlicher Sohn, Oma, Hund). Den Wohnraum haben wir dabei nicht genutzt, da wir tagsüber trotz der extremen Hitze Ausflüge in die wunderbare Region gemacht und uns danach gern und ausgiebig im wundervollen Pool (Alleinnutzung!) abgekühlt. Vom Balkon und vom Pool aus hat man einen tollen Blick auf Lucignano, das uns auch sehr ans Herz gewachsen ist. Der Ort ist absolut bezaubernd und anders als viele andere Orte auch nicht so überlaufen. Er hat uns alles geboten, was wir uns im Urlaub vorstellen und wir hoffen, dass wir in nicht zu ferner Zukunft zurückkehren werden. Es war trotz der Hitze ein perfekter Urlaub! Grazie mille Susanna e Fabrizio e alla prossima!

Een heerlijke plek

Susanna en Fabrizio zijn rustige verhuurders, altijd even vragen of alles naar wens is en verrasten ons met eigen producten van de kippen en de tuin. Hoewel de accommodaties aan elkaar grenzen was er absoluut geen hinder van elkaar en konden wij vrij en privé het appartement en het forse zwembad gebruiken. Het uitzicht op het stadje Lucignano is fenomenaal. Het huis ligt op prettige afstand van andere bezienswaardigheden als Sienna, Montepulciano etc. Het huis was prettig ruim voor 4 personen. Wij hadden een heerlijke tijd. Daarnaast waren hond Stella en de 2 katten aangenaam gezelschap.

Nice place in the middle of Tuscany

Lucignano a small medieval town where you can relax frim city bustle. Nice rural region, Tuscany restaurants with traditional food and wine. Olive cultivations arround. Lovely fenced accommondation and kind lessor. Typical for Italy but very annoying mosquitos.

Vacanza a Lucignano

Abbiamo trascorso una vacanza molto piacevole nella casa di Susanna e Paolo. La casa era molto pulita. C'è tutto il necessario in cucina. Le camere sono grandi. È ancora meglio che nelle foto. La piscina è ampia e tranquilla con una bellissima vista su Lucignano. I proprietari sono molto discreti ma danno buoni consigli e offrono ottimi prodotti del loro orto. La casa è una buona base per visitare i dintorni. Consiglio vivamente.

Traumhafter Urlaub im Herzen der Toskana

Wir (4 Erwachsene) waren Ende September/Anfang Oktober 2 1/2 Wochen Gäste in der großzügigen Ferienwohnung von Susanna und Fabrizio. Es war insgesamt ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub in zentraler Lage der Toskana. Man erreicht Arezzo oder den Trasimenosee in einer halben Autostunde, Montepulciano in 45 Min., Siena und Florenz in einer Stunde und ist auch schnell in Umbrien (z. B. Perugia). Hervorzuheben sind vor allem die sehr netten und herzlichen Gastgeber, die uns mit einem Obst-/Gemüsekorb aus eigenem Garten, eigenem Olivenöl, selbstgemachtem Tiramisu, und selbstgebackenen Cantucci sowie Kuchen während unseres Urlaubs verwöhnten. Das große Anwesen liegt am Stadtrand, ist schön eingewachsen und wird von der niedlichen und familienfreundlichen Hündin Stella und 4 Katzen „bewacht“. Die Inhaber wohnen ebenfalls im Haus (getrennte Wohnung mit eigenem Eingang), sind aber sehr ruhig und diskret. Highlight ist der sehr große und regelmäßig gepflegte Pool mit 6 Sonnenliegen, einer Loungegarnitur und einer Pooldusche, welcher uns alleine bis zu unserer Abreise zur Verfügung stand. Parken kann man mit mehreren Fahrzeugen im komplett eingezäunten Grundstück mit Fernbedienung für das Einfahrtstor. In weniger als 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der wunderschönen mittelalterlich anmutenden Altstadt von Lucignano mit 7 Restaurants, 1 ausgezeichneten Eisdiele, einem gut sortierten Coop, 2 Metzgern, einer Bäckerei und vielen Bars. Eines der allesamt guten Restaurants (Il Goccino) wird von den Gastgebern selbst betrieben. Wir können die Ferienwohnung und die Gastgeber uneingeschränkt empfehlen und hoffen, bald wiederkehren zu können.

Wonderful vacation in Tuscany

We, a family of four, had a beautiful stay at this house in Lucignano. A few minutes walking from the picturesque little town with several really nice restaurants, a small supermarket and a lovely gelateria. Our kids loved the pool and we were all well taken care of by the owners. We can warmly recommend a visit.

Séjour inoubliable, idéalement situé en Toscane

Nous avons passé 15 jours inoubliables dans la belle propriété de Susanna, idéalement située pour profiter de la Toscane. Nous avons pu visiter Florence, Sienne, le sud de la Toscane et le Chianti, et profiter de la grande piscine (vue sur le très joli village médiéval de Lucignano) et du jardin en toute quiétude. Vacanza indimenticabile

Siamo stati per 10 giorni ospiti di Susanna e Fabrizio a Lucignano e abbiamo trascorso giornate davvero serene. La casa corrisponde perfettamente alle foto, la posizione è fantastica perché nonostante sia in campagna dista pochi minuti a piedi dal centro cittadino dove si trovano un supermercato, una fantastica gelateria e molti ristoranti, tra cui Il Goccino l’ottimo ristorante gestito proprio da Susanna e Fabrizio. La vera chicca della casa è la piscina, che ha rinfrescato le nostre giornate dopo una gita in una delle numerose località da visitare (Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Siena, Arezzo e il lago Trasimeno sono vicini). Ringraziamo ancora di vero cuore i proprietari per la pazienza, la gentilezza e la discrezione con cui ci hanno accolti, davvero è stato come essere in visita da amici e i nostri bambini si sono molto affezionati a loro e alla loro cagnolina Stella. Speriamo di poter tornare in futuro per visitare le altre bellezze della Toscana che non abbiamo visto.

Great accommodation in a beautiful setting. Good sized property for my family of five.

Great family accommodation in a beautiful village that has so much Italian charm. Children aged 18, 16, 11 loved the large pool and family pets. Some great days out during our stay - Arezzo, Siena and Florence. Florence is an hour on the train from Arezzo. Siena is very beautiful. Also went horse riding in the hills through vineyards and olive groves. Riding school were great - manager is English and was so supportive to our children who had ridden very little. Good value too for an two hour ride. Great food in the village and an amazing gelateria which served the best ice cream i’ve ever tasted. Hosts Jacopo and Susanna were great hosts and responded very quickly to any messages, always with a welcoming smile. The accommodation was a great base for exploring the wonderful Tuscan countryside. This is our first family visit to Italy - this is a good choice for all ages as there is so much to see, do and eat!! The only problem we faced was the mosquito’s which seemed to love us even after applying strong anti repellent! Thank you so much for letting us stay and would really recommend this property and location.

What a fantastic place to be!

The large appartment has 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathroms, a fully equipped kitchen and a beautifully maintained garden with a large pool. As a family of five we enjoyed a wonderful holiday there. We were happy to be only a five minutes' walk to the medieval town of Lucignano with an icecream parlour, bakery, butcher´s, restaurants, a couple of shops and a small supermarket. Located in the south of Tuscany, there are many interesting places which are only a 1-2 hours´ drive away. Last but not least the owners Susanna & Fabrizio, who live in the other appartment of the house, are very friendly and most helpful. With a separate entrance and terrace your privacy is still assured.

Great place

As a family of 5, we stayed here in August '18 and it was great. Clean, well-presented house with good facilities, close to the town's amenities, including several restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store. The owners were helpful and told us about various local activities. Would recommend.
