I can't speak highly enough about our stay in this special villa. Our host, Giovanni (and his brother), was so helpful every step of the way with suggestions and information. We took a mountain village tour with Giovanni and that was the absolute highlight of our trip to Italy. The surrounding area is great for walks, and the property itself is beautiful with olive trees and a wonderful pool. The ping pong table was an added bonus for our family! The kitchen, the living room, the outdoor deck - all such inviting spaces. HIghly recommended.

This traditional, spacious family owned villa in the peaceful countryside just outside of Lucca was everything we hoped for when we came to Tuscany. Our host and his brother were most accommodating and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed making our own meals. We especially enjoyed the patio overlooking the fields, olive trees, and local vineyards. The perfect base for all of our travels!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa San Pettirosso. Giovanni is an amazing and very kind host and his villa is stunning!Situated on a beautiful property not too far from Lucca and a quick car ride to many other areas. The villa has a rustic Tuscan charm to it. It was so very relaxing and had everything we needed. We cooked in the beautiful and very well equipped kitchen, swam at the very refreshing pool and the views from the back balcony are so beautiful. Having coffee overlooking the olive trees was such a treat each morning. We were able to do laundry and hang it outside. That was a very nice edition during our travels. Giovanni had everything we needed and was only a quick message away if we had a question. This family property is so well maintained and being out a bit from town was so peaceful. 20/10 - will recommend to everyone we know! And will definitely be returning for another stay. We left feeing so relaxed and refreshed. Thank you so much again Giovanni!!

We had a wonderful week with our family. Giovanni is a very friendly and helpful host. The house is surrounded by so much beautiful nature. Having breakfast on the terrace with a stunning view over the Tuscan hills is like paradise. Still on walking distance you can find a bakery for a morning coffee, a pizzeria and other shops and it is only 10 minutes driving to Lucca center. The garden is enormous with endless possibilities both sun and shadow. If it gets too hot the swimming pool helps you out. We visited nice villages like Pietrasanta and Barga. Also the beach is near. It was unforgettable!

Very nice place to stay, just a few minutes drive from beautiful Lucca. An atmospheric former family home with a large garden. Big plus is the pool, especially in the warm Italian summer. We had a very good stay with our family of five. Giovanni is a friendly and helpful host.

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in der Toskana. Dieses Ferienhaus ist ein schöner Ausgangspunkt, um die nördliche Toskana mit Freunden erkunden zu können. Das Haus bietet den typischen Toskanaflair und ist mit allen notwendigen Dingen gut ausgestattet. Durchaus empfehlenswert!

We loved our visit - the house is in such a tranquil spot with loads of space inside and out and the view from the terrace was gorgeous. The house is very traditional and you can tell it's been a well loved family home. The weather was very hot but because of the design of the house it stayed cool inside - we hardly needed to use the air conditioning. Il Puffatello is a short walk away and we ate there a few times (the pizzas were some of the best we've ever had). The Co-op in Lucca was about a 10 minutes drive and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday Giovanni was a great host - very relaxed and friendly but not intrusive. We loved our visit and would recommend this property to anyone who was thinking of staying in Tuscany.

Vacanza stupenda. La struttura è molto caratteristica. La casa è grande e comoda ed è immersa nel verde, pur essendo vicina a Lucca e per nulla isolata. Noi siamo una famiglia numerosa e siamo stati molto bene. Dalla casa abbiamo raggiunto facilmente anche altre zone della Toscana. Il proprietario, il signor Giovanni, è una persona molto gentile e disponibile. La casa è provvista di tutti gli elettrodomestici e accessori.

Wij hebben een fijne vakantie in het huis doorgebracht. Het huis heeft een mooie ligging en ligt iets hoger waardoor je een mooi uitzicht hebt. Ook de ruimte om het huis is groot en als je geluk hebt zie je herten en zwijnen in het veld beneden lopen. Het zwembad is ook zeer aangenaam als de temperatuur stijgt en je lekker wilt afkoelen. De gastheer Giovanni is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

We spent 10 nights at this authentic house with a great private pool. We experienced a very kind welcoming by the host Giovanni and appreciated the location of the property very close to Lucca (10 mins), near by Pisa (25 mins) and in reach of Florence (60 mins). Also the free beach of Marina di Vecchiano was only a 25 mins drive. For us this was just perfect as we enjoy a mixture of going sightseeing and relaxing days spent at the beach/pool.

Das Haus, der Garten und der Pool entsprechen den Bildern. Der Pool ist wirklich groß und auch die Räumlichkeiten (drei Zimmer, ein Esszimmer, ein Wohnzimmer, die Küche, eine Toilette und ein Bad sowie ein Tischtennis-Raum. Das Grundstück ist sehr weitläufig, was besonders unseren Hund gefreut hat. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilft gerne bei Problemen, die aber im Bezug auf die Unterkunft nicht eingetreten sind. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

La maison de style toscan traditionnelle est grande, la salle de Ping pong a été appréciée par les ados. Le terrain vaste et la grande piscine ont rendu le séjour agréable et reposant pour tous. La location est bien située pour découvrir Lucca, Pise et Florence, et profiter de la mer.

Das Ferienhaus ist einzigartig! 15 min mit dem Auto bis Lucca, super netter Vermieter , tolles Haus mit großen Räumen, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles da, alles wie beschrieben. Herrlicher Garten, viel Fläche, schöner gepflegter Pool. Einfach herrlich!!!!

Wir hatten in dieser Villa 2 Wochen wunderschönen Urlaub genießen können - Vielen Dank Giovanni !! Das Haus ist echt groß/geräumig, so dass wir zu viert (mit 2 großen Jugendlichen) mehr als genug Platz und jeder seinen Freiraum hatte. Die Tischtennisplatte im Vorraum ist natürlich super. Der Pool mit ca 10m Durchmesser sehr angenehm zum abkühlen mit schöner Liegewiese. Die Terrasse lädt zum Frühstück und Abendessen ein und das Grundstück ist super groß! Die Lage ist absolut ruhig, da leicht oberhalb des keinen Ortes - Glühwürmchen bevölkern abends den Garten :-) Nach Lucca 15 Min / zum Strand bei Viareggio knapp 30 Min / Bäcker 1-2km entfernt. Man braucht bei der ruhigen Lage halt ein Auto Giovanni ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, die Kommunikation war sehr gut und angenehm. Der Bruder des Vermieters wohnt in einem Haus ebenfalls auf dem (sehr großen) Grundstück Wer Erholung und Ruhe sucht, aber doch gut nach Lucca, Pisa oder zum Strand will, wird sich hier wohlfühlen!

Wat een uitstekend verblijf in een mooi huis uit 1960 . Met een mooi vrij uitzicht op het landschap. Zee , pisa ,barga en lucca dichtbij . De casa is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zwembad was een groot pluspunt in de tropische hitte. Winkels ed in de buurt. Maar ook dank aan de behulpzame gastheer. Kortom een echte aanrader.
