This property was significantly better than we expected, and the owner was easy to deal with.
The house itself was completely renovated recently, so it's surprisingly modern inside. It was super-clean -- we bring a powerful stick vacuum on trips to deep clean on arrival, but didn't need it. Having lived in the panhandle, I know that dust can be a problem, but that wasn't the case. Also, lots of hard surfaces, not carpet and fabric that can hold dust.
The basics, like linens, water pressure, hot water, bed comfort, and so on, were all good. We use unscented products at home, and appreciate that the owner does the same -- there was just the smell of laundry soap.
The best part was that the kitchen was fully stocked. We prepared Thanksgiving dinner, and it was convenient to have the little things like a thermometer, good baking pans, and parchment paper.
Besides two parks, there are a coffee shop and a grocery store in walking distance.
