I would not recommend staying here. The house is located in a bad neighborhood, and the burglar bars on the back window made me feel unsafe right away. There was about a one-inch gap around the front door frame, which made the place feel insecure and poorly maintained.The mattress was ripped, and there was trash in the backyard, which made the property look neglected and not well cared for.Because I did not feel safe, I left the next day and did not stay the rest of my reservation. I did not ask for a refund for the night I stayed, only for the nights I did not stay, but the host refused to refund them. She also waited until after checkout time to respond to my messages and then tried to charge me a 27 late checkout fee, even though I had already explained that I left early due to safety concerns.When I brought these issues to her attention, the host was rude and dismissive instead of helpful.I am very grateful for VRBO customer service for intervening and helping resolve the situation.Overall, this was a very uncomfortable experience, and I would suggest others stay somewhere else if safety and communication matter.
