Wonderful and very peaceful. Super friendly staff and guests with stunning sunsets, great breakfast, pool and super convenient transport into town. Highly recommended. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Super adresse à Luang Prabang

Super séjour chez Henry, le propriétaire Henry est très cool et serviable. Belle propriété au nord du Mékong, à l’écart de l’agitation du centre. Service de navette gratuite. Joli ensemble de maisons authentiques. Excellent petit déjeuner qui change tous les jours. Je recommande la chambre 210 spacieuse et agréable. Couchers de soleil fantastiques sur place. Quelques (petits) bémols: il manque une piscine (projet en cours), et insonorisation des chambres imparfaite. Peu de chose en comparaison de l’accueil de Henry, du manager Joe Tune et du chauffeur Ramasoon.

한국인들이 이 좋은 숙소를 알 지 못하는 것이 아쉽습니다. 넓은 부지 위에 잔디밭이 펼쳐져 있고, 조식과 하루종일 제공되는 커피가 있는 강변의 휴식공간, 방마다 화장실이 두 개가 있고, 샤워실도 넓직합니다. 휴식이 필요하다면 저는 무조건 이 곳을 선택할 것 같습니다. 야시장과 푸시산과는 툭툭으로 10분 정도 떨어져 있어서 단기여행과 접근성을 중요하게 생각하는 분들은 old town 쪽으로 숙소를 잡으시는 것이 좋습니다. 호텔과 old town 간의 이동은 가끔 호텔에서 무료로 제공해 주기도 합니다. (툭툭은 1인당 10,000낍 생각하시면 됩니다. 저희는 6명이라 툭툭 한 대를 60,000낍 내고 이용했습니다) 호텔 건물은 겉에서 보기에 방갈로 타입인데, 내부는 현대적이고 깨끗했어요. 세련된 그림과 장식품, 조명이 많아서 구경하는 재미가 있습니다. 화장실은 정말 큽니다. 왠만한 호텔 방 정도 크기... 조식은 쌀국수가 나오는 날도 있고, 아보카도 샌드위치가 나오는 날도 있었습니다. 음식 수는 많지 않아도 맛이 좋고, 과일이 신선합니다. 한 번 가 보면 후회하지 않으실거에요

町の中心からは若干離れているが、その分静かで落ち着いている。 ホテルの名前の通りメコン川の河畔に立地しており、サンセットが感動的。 ロッジ風の宿泊施設に加え、食事をする場所は宿泊者が集う場所でもあり、特にホテル主催の夕食は宿泊者全員を仲間感覚にする良い機会であった。 また、ホテルのスタッフは皆フレンドリーであると同時にホスピタリティにも溢れ素晴らしい体験・経験ができた。

Oasis in Luang Prabang!

We loved this wonderful oasis. Henry could not have been nicer and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The place has a laid back warm feeling that makes you feel incredibly relaxed. The staff are amazing and the breakfast is delightful! Thank you so much Henry and your amazing staff!

One of the best hotel i have been. My room was really spacious. The property is very beautiful and the sunsets are magnificent. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Take note that the hotel is not in the city center.

This place is absolute paradise. My partner and I were booked in for two nights and upon arrival and seeing the place, we booked an extra night straight away. We could have stayed for weeks, it's an such a hidden gem and right on the river with the most amazing sunsets to end your day with. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and the staff are the most wonderful people you'll meet. Henry and the staff really made us feel at home and we cannot thank them enough for the hospitality we got. If you're looking for a relaxing few days away to unwind, this is the place. The breakfast is also amazing so make sure you don't miss out on that. We will be back in the new year for sure.

An excellent place set right on the Mekong River. The resort is set up to resemble a traditional Lao village. The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to assist you. The rooms are very traditional Lao with modern fixtures ie. air conditioning, internet, hot water etc. I did not want to leave, as did all the other guests here at the time.

Relaxing Time

I spent the past month country hopping, and it turns out the highlight of my trip was spending a few days in Laos with On the Mekong Resort. I'm not sure I can easily explain how relaxing it is to watch the sun set behind mountains overlooking the river, but seriously, wow. All the rooms were built from authentic Lao homes, moved and rebuilt here for preservation. This place feels like a traditional Lao village (until you see the amenities inside the rooms). The "village" even has a temple. The staff are fantastic. Many helpful suggestions, arranging trips to local areas. Just let them know what you enjoy and they will make it happen. Want to visit the waterfall in the National Park 45 minutes away? Hop right in. Want to take a boat tour of the river? Step right up. Feel like shopping at the night market? Right this way. I spoke with the owner today, and he is looking into the possibility of scuba diving the river. No one currently does it, but because I wondered about it, he is finding out if it can be done on my next trip. I'm certain I will come back to Luang Prabang, and it's an easy choice where I will stay.

Where do I even begin, this place was like a dream. My friend and I were on a backpacking trip and decided to treat ourselves. Only booked 1 night (Jan 30 2020) but loved it so much we extended our stay another night. Management was super attending and friendly, we were treated more than just as guest, they treated us like family. This place has the most spectacular view of the sunset. The resort arranged to pick us up from the airport, a great first impression of Laos and Luang Prabang. The staff are all friendly and Kyaw Tun was phenomenal. He arranged for us transportation and even found us a room for our second night. Quiet and peaceful location. Room conditions were fantastic, very unique since it felt like you had your own space. Breakfast was included and the staff went above and beyond to provide us with food on our last afternoon since we missed meal time due to our van time. Would want to come back one day with my significant other and spend over a week here. This really was a place to slow down and relax. I hope they are doing well during this COVID-19 situation. Missing travelling and missing Laos, I hope for the day to return soon!

This is a unique place and an absolute insiders' tip. The location directly on the Mekong is unbeatable, the village setting very originally, the staff extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms offer more comfort than you would expect. Henry is a great host.

A quite and peaceful place

Probably the most amazing place we stayed at on our several months travel We stayed 5 nights (Mrz2020) at On The Mekong Resort in a „garden-view room“ and in their “honeymoon-suite”. We were blown away by the spacious room and the tasteful decoration. We also enjoyed the nice terrace in the shade with view over the vegy garden. The sleeping beds were all very comfty! The resort is well maintained and clean everywhere. The resorts is like a small village build in renovated old houses. You really feel like a villager. The restaurant overlooks the Mekong and offering the best views for stunning sunsets or watching boats and fishermen floating by. The staff, especially the Manager Mr Kyaw Tun, are so friendly and offer a fantastic service (motorbike hiring, bus ticket, tour information, ...) and every evening after sunset you get a free-ride to town. it’s a quiet an peaceful place, while at sunrise we got waked-up by the “village noise” (described on their homepage) so a no issue for us. The included breakfast was good with a selection of different bread, fruit, muesli etc. And a good coffee. In terms of value for money it’s unbeatable! We therefore recommend On The Mekong Resort 100%, it’s was a pleasure being a guest here and we’d always come back or sending our best friends to this place.

We stayed at this resort in March for 5 days. It is a unique experience where you are emerged within a village. From this location, you have the most amazing views of the sunset. The hospitality here was beyond me. Every single staff member I interacted with here was so kind and welcoming. I truly felt at home. Kyaw Tun was also phenomenal in arranging rides for me around town and to the Kuang Si waterfall. Everyone also had great English from the on site staff to the tuk tuk drivers. The resort was very authentic and calming and had the most beautiful view of the Mekong River. Overall, my experience here was everything and more, I’ll always remember it. You won’t regret staying here!

More than a stay -- It was an experience!

This was a resort experience like we have never had! We felt like family, staff was unbelievably welcoming and accommodating. The grounds were created like a village and were beautiful, enjoy the breakfast by the river and gorgeous sunset views. We would go back in a heartbeat!!
