Quiet relaxing property

Quiet and peaceful yet so close to many wineries and restaurants including one on site Jimmy Joans which we can highly recommend. We love the cottage and outdoor areas. Perfect to come home to after visiting wineries. Would highly recommend.

A tucked away private getaway spot

A perfect getaway for us as two friends. Cosy fire, great open layout with every convenience you could wish for a private country getaway. Fabulous view. Booked for the weekend to attend a function at Jimmy Joans. Was a perfect stay. Thank you. We will be back.

Cute Cottage

Wilderness Cottage provides a lovely stay from which to explore the local wineries. We had a quick dip in the pool and enjoyed our BBQ dinner outside, watching some kangaroos hop in. We missed the entrance to the property. The street number wasn't that obvious, but the driveway is part of the carpark entrance to a restaurant called Jimmy Joans - which is easy to see. Also, one little surprise - no internet. I happened to bring a dongle so all was OK. Lovely quiet escape! We would recommend.

Gorgeous private cottage

Wonderful stay. Lovely little cottage with everything we needed. Cosy log fire. Views looking across the olive grove to the main range. Lots of kangaroos.

Happy with our stay except for a few minor issues

The cabin was very clean and tidy. Easy access and good location in Lovedale. Good value. Happy with our stay. A few minor details that the owners could look at. Dinning chairs were steel which were very cold and hard to sit on. Great for summer but not so for the colder months. Wood was not prepared well for the fireplace so I did not use it. RCAC worked very well though. Would suggest stainless steel cooking pans as our eggs (which were nicely supplied by the owner) stuck really bad to the worn out non stick fry pan. No bench space in the kitchen. Would suggest the microwave could be placed in another position. A few birds messed on our car due to the position of the tree where the car parking is located.

Wilderness Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Wilderness Cottage. Our only regret is that we weren't there for a longer period of time. The home is perfect as are the surrounds (including Jimmy Joans)!! It is so peaceful!! We would absolutely come back here! Thank you so much Kim!

Perfect little cottage

Checking in was easy, perfect location to go wine hunting around hunter valley. Fresh eggs was provided from Kim’s chickens.. was very yummy! Wouldn’t defiantly come back for a longer holiday!

Wilderness Cottage

We love this property, the location, plenty of outdoor space and ambience. Beautiful fresh eggs for breakfast, love the outdoor fire pit and now there is a beautiful restaurant/bar/cafe on the property as well. We are return guests and will definately be back again.

Delightful accommodation, feels like home.

Our time at Wilderness Cottage was delightful. Kim has set up the cottage to feel warm, cosy and inviting. For us it felt like home. The cottage and its surrounds were beautiful and so peaceful. Kim and Mick were kind and helpful, they provided everything we needed. They facilitated our stay after needing to postpone for many months and were very patient. We are so thankful for the gorgeous accommodation they provided. Will be recommending to friends and family and would love to come again.

Beautiful Property, cute cottage

The property was beautiful, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and hills. Sunrise and sunset beautiful! The cottage is comfortable with all amenities that you could need. Kim was very friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Long Weekend

My husband and I stayed at Kim's gorgeous little cottage for three nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. The cottage was immaculate and very cosy. Close to all the wineries and restaurants. The fresh eggs and fire wood was a beautiful touch. The grounds were also amazing - perfect place for a morning coffee. Thanks Kim, for an amazing stay! We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back!

Lovely comfortable cottage, beautiful setting. Very comfortable beds & pillows with beautiful new linen. Nice touches such as fresh eggs. Love the late afternoon and evening view to the mountain range. Great stay, we will be back again soon.

What a find !

We had a great stay. Couldn't fault anything - it was the perfect cottage and location for what we needed. So impressed with all the little things that had been thought of that can be frustrating when not included - especially in the kitchen. Loved the fresh eggs and milk in the fridge. Gorgeous family or couples hideaway

This property, nestled away from the main road, comes completely prepared for a family or group of friends to use as a holiday away, or a base to explore the wineries. Only to bring back some bottles, enjoy the pool and bbq on the balcony watching the sunset and sipping on the local wine. Super friendly hosts make sure the property is clean and very welcoming. With the decor, friendliness of the hosts, location, and peaceful environment made this holiday house and holiday home.

Location is perfect. So close to the vineyards and Hunter Valley Gardens. The cottage is cosy and comfortable with a gorgeous fireplace and all the conveniences to make it a home away from home. We loved our short stay 💜

Amazing views and lots of Roos!

Awesome little two bed cottage, really well appointed and great location. The pool was 5m from the house and so great to come home too after a day of golf / wine tasting! Amazing and we will be back :)
