We booked to stay for my partners birthday with family and friends. We booked the main house and cottage for the weekend.
The main house and facilities were beautiful with great facilities and a great country feel.
Unfortunately the cottage had no water for the entire duration of our stay due to a pump issue. We weren't informed of this prior to arrival, it was discovered in the evening. This meant two couples on our trip had no showers or running water to even flush the toilet.
The air-conditioner in the cottage also wasn't working effectively which meant it was quite cold inside.
We contacted the manager of the property who dropped off two oil heaters and attempted top fix the water issue on the Saturday afternoon. However, this did not work, which meant another night with no water in the cottage accommodation for guests.
After making email contact once we returned to discuss the issues, I received a reply that someone had tried to ring me but I failed to answer. This is incorrect. After double checking the number on my Stayz profile and having included my mobile number on the original email I sent I again made email contact. Almost 3 weeks later and I have heard nothing. Considering the money I paid for the accommodation I suggested good PR might be a partial refund or another weekend away to compensate for the issues with the cottage. It was extremely disappointing that these issues detracted from what should have been a fantastic weekend away.
