I wish there were insect screens on the windows so that I could open them. Also, the blinds are the white translucent type that blocks the view but lets the light through. If you are sensitive to the light, you will not be able to sleep after daybreak."

"We chose this location by proximity to the lake. It was clean and well appointed and did not disappoint (other than we didn’t catch any fish). Home was well stocked with necessity item including cookware which was important for us as we cooked our own meals. It also had dishwasher and detergent along with washer and dryer and laundry soap. It was a quiet peaceful location and I would definitely stay there again!"

"I rented the Cabin to have some solitude, peace and quiet. It was all of that. The cabin is clean, quaint, beautiful, and set up really nice. The view of the lake from the Cabin and front porch is spectacular. You have all need for cooking and place settings. I would make one suggestion, is to place a microwave if possible? "Well kept, older modular home. The place grew on me. It was early spring so the straight was readily visible. The driveway is quite steep. We didn't have any trouble getting up but it not for the faint of heart. The gas grill was a great feature. Wifi worked well. We visited "Authentic Seacoast"/Rare bird brewing and had a great time."

"Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

Nice walk along the road or on the beach areas. Bob, the owner, was helpful in offering suggestions on local festivals and restaurants. A number of nice hikes on the neighboring Isle Madame. We had a wonderful time!"
