Beautiful spot, great view. Clean and modern. Best of all was how attentive the host was to a small issue we faced. After messaging she called right away to sort it out and came up with a great resolution. Cant say enough about how nice it was to have someone are about our comfort while staying.

Excellent location, right on beach, steps from the pools and sea. Room was perfect for two people, well stocked with amenities. Pedro the maintenance man was around and very friendly. Contactless check-in/out simple.Minor issues during our stay was no fault of owners: WiFi didn’t work but Pedro was on it quickly. Pools had some algae that stained suits and skin.

Great place, liked it a lot, well appointed studio. Access to services of the adjacent hotel is a big plus. Easy and prompt communication with owner.

Great little well stocked condo, with a nice shower in a quiet corner of the resort. The beachfront location is perfect for sunrises and within walking distance of many nice restaurants and groceries.and pickleball. The beach in front is busy with vehicles and ATV’s

Best Get Away

Luv to stay at Villa de Cortez. Beautiful view, great location and helpful staff. Walking distance to great food & drinks, enjoy local concerts & souvenir shopping too. We love visiting Los Barriles, it's become a yearly thing!

Beautiful condo right on the beach - exactly as described in the listing. It was great having the little well supplied kitchen to fix some of our meals. Enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We absolutely loved our time here! Our room was clean and had every amenity needed. The staff was so kind and very helpful. We loved the staff at the restaurant and swim up bar. Everyone was so friendly and our apartment was amazing. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Wonderful villa in a great location!

We spent a week at the Villas de Cortez. It’s the perfect location, lots of activities and restaurants within walking distance. Kelli’s condo was clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next trip!

Perfect Location!!

This was the perfect condo for our stay in Los Barriles. Very clean and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Check in process was easy. The best thing about this villa is the view….breathtaking!! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to family and friends.

Lovely Villa

This is the nicest condo we have stayed in at the Villas de Cortez! Everything you need for an enjoyable stay and more. Kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed time on the balcony watching the fishing boats and used the recommendations for restaurants around Las Barriles. It truly was a perfect week.

Wonderful condo

Very clean, well equipped. We didn’t really use the kitchen but if we had this unit has everything we would have needed. Great location. Very cute decor and amazing view. We hope to return.

A Gem

This was such a great place to stay. It was our first stay in this area of the baja and end up being the perfect location to everything. I loved that the villa pools were private to the villas. It never felt crowded. Kelli gave us great info before coming which made out stay better. She was also awesome with communication as was the grounds keeper. We would stay here again.

Wonderful view and location!

You walk through the front door and immediately see the ocean. Very inviting, light and bright. Perfect for a single or couple. Kelli was super responsive and helpful.

A safe and happy place

This studio was well equipped and decorated so it had a bright and airy feel. The location is within walking distance to the attractions of Los Barriles which still contains its small Mexican village flavour. Good snorkelling is out front or a short walk down the beach. Sunrise views from the balcony at 6:30 am while the fishermen launch their boats from the adjoining marina, are fantastic.

Wonderful condo!

This condo is beautiful, well appointed, comfortable and has an amazing view. It also is in a great location, within walking distance of restaurants and activities. Pedro, the property manager, is on site almost daily and is super attentive to virtually any needs. Kelli, the owner, was also very responsive to a small glitch with the safe. We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property, views, location, EVERYTHING

Check in process was effortless. Villa was gorgeous inside and out. Stunning views of pool deck, beach, sea. Two pools were a 5 min walk down the steps, including an infinity/zero entry pool with swim up bar. Kitchen and bathroom well-stocked with everything we needed. Pedro (maintenance man) introduced himself and was friendly and available. Beach and sea a 5 min. Walk away. Great snorkeling right out front!! Villas are a short walk to the center of town for groceries, tourist shops, restaurants. We definitely enjoyed our first visit to Los Barriles, and can’t wait to return!

Los Barriles

Great vibe in LB. We met our friends there who were staying in the same building but on the ground floor and who have stayed numerous times. They knew their way around LB - restaurants, bars, road trips, sport fishing etc. So it made it really easy. LB is a very chill place compared to many of the more well known tourist destinations in Mexico. Great beach, snorkelling in the morning was outstanding (wind/wave or higher tide build up can obscure the visibility in the afternoon) 1200 meters walk south on the beach. All kinds of kite/wind/sail sports available there and I wish we had tried some but not enough time on this trip. Kelli is an outstanding host. Villa was great, very well equipped. Can’t really think of anything apart from perhaps a bit more vertical hanging space for clothes. But arguably, we brought too much luggage - big surprise for us…not. Really nice to have the reverse osmosis fresh water system. Once we got in the rhythm of filling a jug(s) and refrigerating it we were golden. Kelli was very responsive to all questions and got back to us in minutes for any questions. We are definitely interested in returning. We HIGHLY recommend Kelli, their villa and LB in general.

Hot. No A/C

Extremely hot the day we arrived. No A/C. Attempted to message the host but the VRBO didn't work in Mexico. I figured out how to message outside of my booking. TWO days later I got a reply from the host's proxy that basically said it is expensive for them to run the A/C and to "deal with it". One day it was 87 degrees. Thank god the building manager, Pedro, turned on the a/c otherwise it would have been unbearable. Prior to booking I reviewed the amenities to make sure it stated they have air conditioning. It states this very clearly. After I returned from my trip I looked again to make sure. Very far down in a differnt section altogether of the listing underneath "About this Property" it cleverly says they turn off the A/C during the cooler seasonal months and the Villa is perfectly comfortable. This is completely deceptive and wholly not true. Unless you want to risk paying a lot of money and being uncomfortable do not book this unit. Not to mention the host is unresponsive and dismissive. VRBO should allow this type of deceptive listing.
