True bliss

Tamra’s property in Esmeralda area of Los Barilles was everything we wanted for our family Christmas away. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Sunrises and moonrises wonderful easy access to “rip” in to town on our rented ATVs - so fun!

The views!!!

You can’t beat the location! The hot tub was warm when we arrived and the pool has the perfect amount of shade and sun. We had troubles with the AC in one room, Priscilla and her team came promptly to help us and answer any questions we had. The shaded parking for your ATV is a game changer. No more hot seats for the kids you won’t regret staying here.

Great home for a vacation

If you love relaxing in Baja with family and friends, this is the perfect place to stay. This home has all the amenities for comfort and convenience. Quiet neighborhood but still close to everything including a semi private beach and Tres Palapas. Pretty views, private pool, and several outdoor gathering areas. The owner was super responsive and the property mgrs were very helpful. We had a great stay here!

Fantastic place for family reunion with all ammentities

The Casa is as advertised, views, roomy, everything you could ask for a family reunuion! we enjoyed the views, the plunge pool, everything! It is spacious yet open. We felt right at home, and the kitchen is loaded with everthing you need to cook fantastic meals! We would reserve this place again! Clean and quiet!

Excellent property

Great location with wonderful views. Short walk to the sea. The layout worked well with our group of seven. The property management team was quick to respond and very helpful. All in all a great experience.

Great house! Beautiful view!

Everything was perfect! Great accommodations for our family of 9 (includes three children 5 and under)! The house was fully stocked with beach towels, toys and kitchen supplies. We had great communication with the property manager as well. Definitely looking forward to staying here again!

Absolutely wonderful

Highly recommend! The check-in, communication, and engagement was professional and easy. The location was wonderful. Peaceful setting, outdoor space, and we’ll appointed. Everything was perfect. A wonderful stay for two families with kids. I so look forward to returning!!!

This place is FANTASTIC!

Wow!! What a great place for 4 couples to stay & play. The property is beautiful. Everything is very high quality. From the filtered water to the jacuzzi on the deck to the pool in the backyard.. The upstairs living area was great for making dinner and having 8 person parties. The location; just a short walk from Tres Palapas Pickleball Resort, was ideal. We all agree we’d come back to this property again!!

Better Than The Photos

My family had a fantastic stay at this house. Everything was beautiful and even better looking than the photos. We could see whales from the balcony where we drank our coffee. We spent our afternoons lounging near the pool and cooling off in the refreshing water. You can drink the tap water which was so convenient. We cooked at home a lot and the kitchen was well equipped for everything we needed to feed a group of 6. Everything was very clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. We would definitely come back to stay at the lovely home.

Tres Palapas sooooo close!

This was our second time staying at Casa Las Estrellas and it most certainly did not disappoint! We absolutely LOVE the accommodations and the location to Tres Palapas is pure perfection! They made sure to keep our specific request in mind as we checked in and we had a seamless stay! I would HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous VRBO as it offers so many unique qualities that a hotel just doesn’t. You can sleep four couples easily as each floor is completely separated. The home is SO clean and comfortable. The only issue was the internet/TV reception one of our 4 days, but they seemed to have fixed that quickly. Can say enough about how much we adore this place and we would rate it more than 5 stars if possible!

Loved it all

We had an enjoyable time at this home. We arrived the day right after Hurricane Kay happened and so there was a few small things but they addressed everything quickly. The house is great! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, deck and amenities of home! The hot tub did not work but we really didn’t care because it was so hot outside anyway. Owner was very organized and responsive and I would recommend this home to anyone… especially those who love pickleball! We played at Tres Palapas every day and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Beach by the home wasn’t great but that was only because the hurricane had just hit and there was alit of rock and debris.

A vacation to remember

Communication was always timely and efficient from day one of our renting experience. The area itself was a wonderful surprise and the house very well stocked and lovely. The grounds too. Relaxed, quiet and a feeling of being "at home". Would definitely recommend! Activities we enjoyed were swimming with the whale sharks in La Paz (a full day of adventure and easy to book a driver) while closer by, the rental of ATVs to explore the area. Pickle ball courts a short walk away along with a nice little cafe. Town itself not within easy walking distance but again, there are drivers. The beach is rocky but easy to walk on with some fun shell collecting options. All in all A+

Close to Tres Palapas and the beach

This property was absolutely incredible! The manager was prompt with responses, the property is gorgeous and well appointed and super super clean. The ac works very well and you also get a nice breeze so you won’t need it de pepón the time of year. The beds were really comfortable and the sheets were very soft. The only thing that we wished we could get to work was the jacuzzi. We stayed with a group of friends (7 total upstairs and down) and we walked to Tres Palapas for Pickleball every day. After four days of all day play, we really looked forward to soaking. Hopefully they will have it fixed by next time. The pool was delightful and clean. Can’t stress the beauty of the property enough! If you’re wanting to go to the beach, it’s a few steps away and of course the world class Pickleball resort Tres Palapas is literally two doors down. AMAZING AMAZING PLACE! Thank you again!

Perfect for us with adult children and their Families

We had 6 adults and our 2 year old granddaughter staying. There was nothing that we did not like. We loved it! The house was roomy allowing us to spread out in different areas for my granddaughter’s naps and accommodating different bedtimes for the adults. We loved to be able to be close to town but still have the quiet of being out of town for just having a walk. When at the house we used the pool to sit around. A couple of us also enjoyed having a hot tub watching the sunrise in the mornings. It was so nice that there were toys for our granddaughter to play with avoiding us buying them. Having an umbrella and chairs for the beach was also a bonus. While we did not think about it when booking, having water from the tap that we could drink certainly made things easy. We had a few communications with Tamra and the property managers and each time responses were received quickly. We certainly will be booking this again when returning to Los Barriles.

Our stay at this home was lovely for the most part. The home was large enough for three family groups to each have some private space with plenty of room to gather together when desired. It is close to the beach, has a lovely yard that is relatively kid-friendly, and has amazing 360 degree sunsets. The upstairs kitchen was amply supplied with quality dishware, cookware and utensils, although the downstairs kitchen was much smaller and less convenient to use. This was ok for our purposes. We did have an extended power outage and the hot water heater has a design flaw that made it stop working continuously until we realized we needed to prop the door to the water heater closet open for it to function. This was a problem for our group as several of us had only cold showers for the first 3 days of our stay. Also since we had small children in our group, having that closet open was one extra hazard that we needed to monitor for. (We were concerned one of them may have become trapped if the door closed on them or that they would tamper with the settings.) The surroundings are charming, quiet, and private with minimal contact with neighbors. Our family enjoyed our time in this beautiful home very much.

Beautiful Property

This is a really beautiful house and was great for our family and friends, a group of 7. I won't duplicate what other reviewers have said. Would stay again. Some thoughts: The beach at the end of the street is not really swimmable. There are huge rocks and boulders. You may be able to do a bit of snorkeling but not swim. It's still a gorgeous spot and could take long walks on the beach which was great. Also, a good swimming beach was only a 5-6 minute drive away. Between May and October is down season so there were not a lot of people around. Lots of restaurants closed or limited hours. The Pickleball resort limits hours to three evenings a week between 5-8pm. It's also incredibly hot in July which was to be expected but the pool was more like a hot tub and not too refreshing. Not a lot of sun shade around the house or pool area. If you've traveled to this area before then you know this but this was my first time so want to help those of you who are new to Barriles. The house is two separate apartments. They do not connect internally. It wasn't a big deal for us as you could easily walk around to the other apartment but you have to go outside the house to get to the other apartment. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helped with all kinds of things from recommending a doctor to atv rental to arranging an in home chef (which is highly recommended!). We did have trouble entering the bottom apartment when we arrived.

This is a beautiful, well maintained property. We had everything we needed and more. The sunrises could not be beat from the upstairs balcony. The decor was beautiful and relaxing. The linens were nice and the house was extremely clean. There were plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Just a note that the upstairs and downstairs are not connected from the inside which was not a problem at all for us However a family with little ones may find it difficult. We loved the location. We were close to town and just a short walk to the beach. And the pickleball complex was just a quick walk however we could never hear them playing. We also ate breakfast at the courts and one dinner. Both meals were very good. The fish tacos were memorable! We will definitely return on our next visit to Los Barriles.

Find another VRBO

Owner offered to give us a discount on next stay, for issues encountered, we would never rent it again. Broken faucet handle , broken recliner , ac stopped working in one room, water heater stopped working, wife stung by scorpion in bathroom , tons of white creepy bugs on outside chairs , and more !
