Amy Fondo Great Ocean Road Race

The house was good but the cleaner's could of cleaned it better before we came, since the owner pays them to do a good job. Personal I would cut the shubs out near the front door and maybe some trees down due to all the leaves around on the deck in case of fires or maybe cover the deck as you couldn't sit out side. Don't get me wrong the house was fantastic with the people we had very spacious not on top of each other which was really good and the owner was great to contact if we needed anything loved the cockatoos and Kookaburra's that came visiting us each day. Its a shame we couldn't book it to come back next year as you got to be quick. would definitely stay here again if we came back to Lorne

Golfview weekend away

Loved waking up in the morning to the kangaroos on the golf course. Lots of rooms and beds for large groups. Enjoyed our stay.

Big house with good views. Bathrooms very clean. Bedrooms comfy. Table tennis and foozball fun. Unfortunately, quite dirty under furniture. Could use a bit of maintenance, eg sink in laundry not able to be used, which was a nuisance as couldn’t soak/rinse clothes/ bathers etc in it. And outside furniture old and cushions very stained and dirty looking. We had a great holiday but a bit overpriced given the overall condition of the place. Host was good, always replied promptly and very helpful.

Better to bring your own linens

This house is in a lovely spot, with beautiful views and a short drive to shops and restaurants. The house has good bones but is in serious need of attention. Walls are scuffed and dirty, windows look like they've never been cleaned and there is a strong smell of mildew throughout but particularly on the lower level. Linens were supplied but sheets were pilled and uncomfortable and the towels were old and thin. The general level of cleanliness throughout was not great, particularly in the midst of a pandemic. There was some broken furniture and deck pailings which were bordering on unsafe. We expected more for the money we paid. On a positive, the size of the house is great for a big group and the golf course views make for excellent kangaroo viewing. This house could be excellent with a bit of love and attention

Good holiday but house is a bit tired

Nice and private location, with a bit of an ocean view. Great bird life and a comfortable house. House was not particularly clean, it had rubbish out the front of the house, significantly stained carpet, marks on the plaster, damage to kitchen benches and loose timber decking etc. The bedsheets were clean, we found the firewood downstairs and we had a good stay, but I would have expected it to be cleaner and in better condition. There is lots of kitchen equipment but we couldn't find the remote for the split system downstairs or login to the wifi. Was no dishwasher powder or tablets and about 2 tbs of dishwashing liquid so we had to go and buy our own. Still had a lovely weekend in Lorne, but if you're after something pristine, this isn't it.

Pictures didn't mirror what rental was.

The pictures online were impressive. However on arrival smelt locked up (musty). Was not cleaned with quite grimy wall and fittings. Bathrooms and towels were spotless. Some of guests didn't sleep in beds due to sheets being dirty. Kitchen was grimy and oven burnt our food due to element bent. Rental needs some TLC and some maintenance needed. The Host was a pleasure to deal with and speedy in communication which was nice. Area was lovely otherwise.

Good place but a couple of issues

Lovely location and very spacious for 5 single ladies in Lorne for a bushwalking weekend. The house is a little tired - kitchen benches a bit shabby, downstairs area stuffy when we arrived, and one bedroom did not have window that could be opened. Main problem was we did not have a key to unlock the door onto the deck from the kitchen, so could not make use of this area, However we still had a pleasant stay.

Just a few cleanliness issues that are an easy fix and would have made our stay a little more comfortable. The outside balcony was not usable due to it being very dirty. Just an oversight i'm sure. The cushions on the couch inside were so dirty. These again are such an easy fix. Thank you for a beautiful home .

Older property needing some upgrading in the future. Still we loved the location and the kitchen lounge area with there views. These 5 couples have celebrated Xmas in July for years and would return here again. We would love to thank our host Brook for our STAY!

Family holiday in Lorne

As a family of 8 with 3 children we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was big enough for us all even when the weather was wet. It is very well situated for good walks, shopping and beautiful drives. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed the open fire in the evening. The TV screens were amazing. We thoroughly recommend it.

Perfect golf weekend away
