Travel back to a simpler time when you escape to this Lopez Island farmhouse, a quaint, rustic classic home with a shaded front porch, sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, and a wonderful location close to restaurants, shops, and markets in town!



This great old Lopez house served many purposes through its history, including as the home and medical clinic for the local doctor, Dr. Muscott. The home's current owner spent summers there with her young family and intended to retire here, but it’s hard to move away from her 11 grandkids. The family still comes throughout the year to visit. Together, we do our best to keep the house in good condition and welcome any feedback about how we can make your stay more pleasant.



Things to know:

This Lopez home is over 100 years old and has been renovated into a bright, inviting space. While it’s been recently updated, some rustic touches to the property remain – like bedroom doors with old fashioned door handles and a couple exterior back stoops that have succumbed to the elements. If you love a house with vintage character, this is a great spot for you.

* WiFi and cell service are spotty, depending on your carrier. The nearby library has excellent free WiFi if you need consistent connectivity.

*. The property has Class A water system – some of the best water in the world – and that includes a healthy dose of minerals. You will notice residue in the dishwasher and tea kettle. A Brita Filter is provided.

* Upper floor is a storage area that is not available to guests.



Note: If you are arriving on an evening ferry, the grocery stores and restaurants may be closed.

The Neighborhood:

The house is tucked away at the end of a country lane on the west side of Lopez Island, offering glorious sunset views that reach the Olympic Mountains in the distance. You'll be a half-mile walk to Isabel's Espresso, Ursa Minor, and other favorites in town, and just three miles west of Spencer Spit State Park. The house is also an easy, four-mile drive south of the ferry landing.
