We loved staying at Bessie’s Landing. We loved that it had a kitchen with a big refrigerator and microwave. It had a living room and big TV with all the channels. We have stayed at places where you had to have access to paid channels which we do not have. Bessie’s Landing already had access to certain channels. What a Blessing! It was close to downtown. We will definitely be booking again! The owner has food in the refrigerator so that you can just stay in and relax. We had the Best blueberry cake!

We had a great time staying at the cottage. Elaine was a very gracious and courteous host. She made us feel right at home. The cottage was very cozy and close to downtown. So,it made site seeing and shopping very convenient. We will definitely stay there again.

The hosts offered a wonderful place to stay. Bessie's Landing was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. It was also walking distance to downtown shops, the local grocery store, and a number of Jefferson's many historic homes.

Elaine & Ken helped make our stay fantastic! The property for my wife & I and our 2 furry critters couldn’t have been better! Elaine & Ken made us feel incredibly welcome and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We did take the Caddo Lake tour which was very interesting and memorable. The town of Jefferson is very unique with its history and all the unique homes and architecture! Definitely made us feel a return visit, in the future, would be in order! Thanks, Art & Pam

Charming cottage, clean and pleasant. The only thing that I was surprised by was the second bedroom. It had no window and appeared to be a large closet made into a bedroom, which is okay. And maybe it was clear that it had no window, I was surprised by the lack of a window. As well, there basically is no bathroom door. And yet, overall, the space is really nice and I enjoyed the stay.

Bessie’s Landing and host Elaine are why my mom and I have returned to Jefferson, TX, for 3 times for our annual mother/daughter trip!! We call it our “home away from home” because we love it so much! The cottage is so pretty and quaint! It is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. From wine on the porch to yummy breakfasts made with the wonderful choices in the refrigerator, Bessie’s Landing is the ideal place for a getaway!!

PERFECT!

You won't go wrong by staying at Bessie's Landing. I heard about Elaine stocking the fridge with some breakfast items and various snacks, etc., but what we found was so much more! We had planned on going to the nearby store to pick up a few items, but there was no need, at all! Breakfast items were endless including fresh eggs, bacon, various breads and pastries, along with frozen items to choose from. All kinds of sodas, milk, juice, flavored teas and all the condiments needed for any of it! Her homemade blueberry bread was to die for. Needless to say, no need to go to the store at all. The house was immaculate and very inviting. We enjoyed mornings on the porch listening to the birds and the waterfall/goldfish pond in front, while drinking morning coffee. It's just as nice in the evening. You simply don't want for anything while you're there. Elaine and her husband were so kind and thoughtful and were there for anything you might need. Fur babies Mira and Shadow were nice greeters and very well behaved. We will be back!!

Bessie’s Landing stay……

Beautiful, cozy, very clean and tidy, scrumptious goodies( esp the blueberry bread!) and all one would want for a grand breakfast! Add the “Happy Anniversary” bottle of champagne and wow! Meeting host and hostess was a real treat too! Grand folks with great personalities to go with! Can’t express enough, but best VRBO we have yet experienced!!

Cottage Comfort

Bessie’s Landing is a lovely, quaint cottage next to the owner’s historical home in Jefferson, Tx. The space has a queen bedroom and a smaller twin sleeping area. The cottage has an open kitchen and small living area, plus one full sized bath. The decor is exquisite and in keeping with the southern historic feel of the town. The owner keeps a fully stocked kitchen, along with the best filled refrigerator and cabinets of generously provided breakfast goods and snacks. The front porch seating area and koi pond add a peaceful atmosphere and retreat from hustle and bustle of daily life. This vacation rental truly is one of the best properties I have ever stayed in. The owner/host is very communicative and goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and happy.

Absolutely fabulous cottage and hosts!!!

We had the best couple of days there in Jefferson staying at this cozy little cottage. The house were fantastic and everything was just beautiful. We will definitely explore this opportunity again.
