"Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "

"Die Buchung dieses Hotels war leider eine Fehlentscheidung. Wir kamen gegen 18:30 Uhr an. Noch an der Haustür kam eine junge Mitarbeiterin und brachte uns sofort zum Zimmer. Sie ging mit hinein, kam sofort zum Thema und wollte wissen wann wir zum Abendessen gehen und welches Menu wir haben möchten. Wir waren völlig überrumpelt. Sie sagte, wirklich müssten uns sofort entscheiden. Ich bat um 10 Min. Bedenkzeit. Sie wies uns dann auf die Frühstückszeit 8-9:00 h hin. Ein Unding solch eine kurze...

"Excellent all round - food is quite pricey, but deservedly so.... you get what you pay for. Staff were great, only a shame I had to be away early and missed what would have probably been an amazing breakfast!"

"The property has an imposing stance and even before entering, suggests a degree of elegance and style. The start was not good, however, as upon entering the room, I found that it had not been serviced. I cannot remember if I received an apology - suggesting that maybe I didn't - but the hotel deducted the price of two bottles of wine from a dinner for 8 as a paliative.
