Beautiful Place
It is a wonderful place to stay for a couple and or a person with a dog. The owners are delightful and so welcoming. The place is very well kept and in a beautiful setting. It is about my 7th stay with my dog Spuddy, and won't be my last.

Great Stay in Longreach
We really enjoyed our stay in Longreach. The cottage is even better than the pictures and the grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed waking up and having coffee on the porch with the kangaroos each morning. The location is secluded but still close to area attractions. Thank you Maree for a great stay!!

Idyllic spot in the country
Beautiful little cottage in a quiet location next to the river. Just far enough from Nowra to feel a proper country vibe but close enough that it didn’t feel completely isolated. Maree was wonderfully kind and helpful and it was great to see the animals on the farm wandering happily around. Really relaxing stay.

Beautiful location!
The Riverside Retreat is a beautifully appointed cottage in a stunning location! Everything you could wish for to have a relaxing time away. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, the walk to the lookout, bbq’s under the stars by the fire, and lunch in the lovely bbq area by the river. Our dogs loved racing around in the paddocks too! Maree and George were absolutely delightful hosts who gave us our privacy but were also up for a chat. So very lovely to meet them! We highly recommend this little patch of paradise!

Beautiful, stylish and relaxing
If nature restores you, this is where you want to be. We never wanted to leave this property and just wanted to listen to nature's sounds. Lots of kangaroos and cattle. The hosts are pure gems, very accommodating. The cottage is laid out very stylish, unique and perfect for spending quality time - I brought my daughter and a super cool dog. It was perfect, will come back again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us.

Serene Shoalhaven retreat
A charming cottage in a beautiful riverside setting. Maree and George are warm and generous hosts, welcoming us with fresh honey from their bees and a fine bottle of wine. The cottage is tastefully and well fitted out and the setting is green and peaceful with great local walks. Highly recommended!

Perfect place for a Wedding Anniversary
We had the perfect weekend away @ Longreach cottage for our Wedding Anniversary. Maree was an absolute delight. A good balance of being helpful but also giving us our own space. The property is amazingly beautiful and the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend

Wonderful getaway.
What a wonderful romantic getaway. Perfect place to get lost in time, be inspired to paint and read. We loved exploring in the canoe, gardens and walking tracks and our fur babies just liked laying around. Highly recommended.

Riverside retreat
A peaceful location overlooking the Shoalhaven River with a backdrop of cliffs and bush land. The tastefully fitted out private cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Maree and George were great hosts.

Best ever B N B
This idyllic place is such a great place to stay with your dog. Hosts Maree and George are so generous in sharing their property with you, including their swimming pool. The BNB is very private, separated by a large hedge from their house. I have never stayed in such a wonderful place.

Relax, renew and reset at Longreach Riverside Retreat
Maree was wonderful, had lots of information to share about the property and nearby shops and activities. Perfect for a relaxing weekend away to escape the rush of Sydney and be surrounded by the beautiful sights and sounds of the animals and landscape. The home has everything you need including outdoor seating to enjoy the farm and river views and fully equipped kitchen. Loved my stay here!!

Tranquility Base
We had a wonderful few days at Longreach after a stressful few months and were warmly welcomed by everyone on the farm. Maree & George were the perfect hosts, the cottage had everything we needed and we felt thoroughly rested on our departure. It's a great place to take your pet, our Indy had a wonderful first farm experience meeting all the locals! Thoroughly recommend Longreach as a place of peace and tranquility in a beautiful corner of the world! Thanks so much for having us!

What a relaxing weekend!
My husband and I just spent a very relaxing weekend at Longreach Retreat. Such a wonderful location! We saw lots of wildlife, including wombats, kangaroos, an echidna and a goanna. The cottage is very well equipped with all you can wish for and the hosts, Maree and George, are very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure that we had a lovely stay. Our dog absolutely loved the grassy and bushy surroundings, all the new smells, and meeting the 3 friendly farm dogs. Thank you for a wonderful weekend and we will definitely be back!

Perfect get away to watch the birds, butterflies and the day go by
We had an amazing weekend at Longreach retreat. The cottage was perfect with everything you needed for the stay. Not sure what was the best part; sleeping in the large bed, checking out the kangaroos at dawn and dusk, going for a great walk with amazing views at the lookout, sitting in the backyard drinking a nice red as the sun went down, sitting outside with the fire pot blazing under the stars, checking out the farm animals or just sitting on the lawn looking at the river and escarpment; it is really hard to say. We will definitely be looking to return. Our hosts were amazing and we were treated like family. Thank you and see you again.

Home away from Home
George and Maree were welcoming hosts ensuring we had settled in and offered if we needed anything just to knock on their door. The cottage had everything you needed and the property was a holiday in itself for not only us but also our two Jack Russells. We thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay. Absolutely amazing!!! Its is a magical hideaway. Serenity and peace, firepits and bbq. Fantastic!
We have arrived to thw smiling faces of our hosts, who warmly welcomed us and our puppy to their property. We had 2 half days of no rain to do what all ppl do - relax and enjoy the environment, but the rainy ones allowed us for some family bonding time by the fireplace. George (our host)took the kids on a buggie ride to see local wild life and even let them steer!!! We all all had a phenomenal stay. I would recommend to stay here to anyone - in any weather. Thank you to Maree and George for sharing a bit of their paradise with us.🙏🙏🙏

Two night stay at Longreach cottages Sept 2022
What a lovely dog friendly cottage and beautiful surroundings. We saw Kangaroos and Wombats and at the end of the day sat around the cosy log fire. Everything was very inviting it felt like home away from home. Thanks Maree and George for letting us stay. The doggies had a lovely time aswell. Would love to come back one day. Thanks also Maree for the flowers when we arrived it was a lovely touch and the farm Honey was delicious. Thanks again Les and Gary.

The most beautiful retreat in the most stunning, picturesque location. Ultra clean with all of the amenities needed for a complete wind down (including a bath with spa feature). Maree and George are the most lovely, welcoming, happy and hospitable hosts. You are completely immersed in beauty and wildlife, with fresh honey waiting for you on arrival - made on the property! Highlights include making a cup of tea in the morning gazing at kangaroos in the paddock, a bush walk to a lookout on the property, seeing a wombat, seeing a newborn calf and retiring in the most comfortable bed, while our dogs loved sleeping in front of the fire. We have already booked a return trip. This is country Australia at its finest. Thank you again Maree and George.

An amazing piece of heaven hidden so close to Sydney. The house was clean and comfortable. An indoor fire already crackling away on arrival, wildlife all around, quiet, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable. We’ll definitely be going back.

Perfect for a relaxing weekend!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful with a lovely outlook across paddocks to the river. The cottage is spacious but cosy, with a full kitchen and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The fireplace was fantastic and great for a relaxing night in. Maree was friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Getting to play with the dogs was a huge bonus!

Fantastic Farm Stay - 2.5 hrs from Sydney
My wife and I had a lovely stay at Longreach Retreat which is located on the Shoalhaven river. The quaint little cottage backs onto beautiful bush land and sandstone escarpment with river glimpses from the cottage. Kangaroos and wombats frequent the area. Cottage has fireplaces inside and out for those cool evening with plenty of fire wood on hand. We took our little dog who was very happy sniffing around the farm and meeting the other friendly farm dogs. Our hosts were lovely, with Maree helpful as ever with local knowledge. Recommend take a day trip to Kangaroo Valley including a stop over at the Camberwarra Lookout & Cafe. Awesome views.

Perfect
We’ve been looking for a location a couple of hours out of Sydney to escape and return to regularly this is finally it! Peaceful, super clean, cosy, Maree is lovely and welcoming, fireplace was brilliant, spa bath great and the scenery stunning. Our dog Jackson had the best time and was very safe and loved the surroundings.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Longreach. The accommodation was perfect for us. The weather wasn't kind but we really didn't notice. We were after a quiet time away in a beautiful spot. We were not disappointed and would go back there in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, peaceful location...
Although only a short 10-15min drive to all the conveniences of Nowra, Maree's property feels like its a world away. Wonderful grounds to wander around and immerse yourself in nature including direct access to the river. The accommodation is very private and has everything you need to escape from the demands of city living. It's also pet friendly! Looking forward to heading back out there for another getaway!

The Garden of Eden.
If you are looking for something that will pretty much reset your soul - this farmstay is it. From the amazing hosts, Maree and George, to the adorable cows and dogs running around, everywhere you look felt full of life. George and Maree made us feel incredibly welcome, as well as making us feel like this little oasis was all our own and nothing was off limits. Could not recommend this stay enough to couples, families or just someone looking for a solo getaway that makes them feel wholesome. We can wait to go back!

Another magical stay
This is our third visit to the the property and it is wonderful in every season. Maree, George, and the dogs are the ultimate hosts- always happy to have a chat or to help with anything you need, but also let you roam the property as if it's your own. The house is cozy and comfortable and chic. You feel like a million miles from anywhere while being a quick 10-15 min drive to town. The wildlife is abundant- we saw 7! wombats on our last night,plus kangaroos, black cockatoos, frogs,and blue tongue lizards. Come here to get away from it all and find yourself in the process.

A great place to unwind
Even though we picked a wet weekend in November we really enjoyed our stay. Location is great. Private Cabin is extremely spacious and bed was wonderful. Maree and George were great hosts. We will definitely be back when the sun comes out again.

Simply perfect
We had a wonderful city escape and cannot praise George and Maree’s hospitality and lovely genuine nature as the perfect hosts. They were so welcoming of us and our 2 dogs, and we would have to say that our stay surpassed all expectations (which were already high). Lovely place and lovely people. a little piece of heaven on Earth
This is a true piece of paradise. Don't know where to start. The serenity of the location: so beautiful and quiet and green with lots of wildlife, the pretty and so well equipped little cottage or the amazing hosts Marree and George. We had the best time for a weekend away. The property is stunning and the perfect place tp recharge your batteries. Greeted by cows and kangaroos every morning and the three friendly, gorgeous dogs who came to play with our dog Oskar. The cottage is just perfect for two with a beautiful comfy bed - like sleeping on a cloud and the beautiful fireplace, there is an outside one as well. This place is truly magic and we cannotbwait to be back. Thank you

Heaven on the South Coast
I first visited in March with my husband and have now just visited again on my own for a mental health retreat. Maree and George are great hosts-welcoming and friendly, but give you your space as well. The property is BEAUTIFUL!! The cottage is BEAUTIFUL! You can kayak or hike or play ball with the 3 friendly farm dogs (Pearl, Buddy, and Alfie) or you can just sit and watch the river go by, the cows, and kangaroos. The cottage is well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Both times I've left the property, I've felt the weight of the world off my shoulders and so rested. Can't wait to go back and visit again in another season!

Beautiful quiet escape
Thankyou Maree, George and your gorgeous doggies. What a beautiful creative space you have, the gardens and sculptures add to the natural beauty and it is easy just to spend the day staying in the gardens looking at the bush views. There’s so much wildlife around the cottage, birds, lizards, kangaroos and the highlight was watching a wombat amble around the paddock. The cottage has everything you need with the view out of the bathroom a treat, we loved it all.

Terrific guests, great communication and considerate and friendly. The cottage was so clean and tidy and Harry was a "5 star dog". You could not get better guests.

Lakeside luxury
We could not have asked for kinder hosts or a more luxurious property. The modest looking cottage is surprisingly spacious inside with a king bed and spa bath. Views were breathtaking, the resident animals (including three delightful pups) endlessly entertaining, and the surrounding bush, escarpment, and country air provided a dream getaway Thankyou Maree and George for the perfect home away from home
