"This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland. We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. Still, this was a small sacrifice for the pleasure of experiencing tiny living life for a few days. Everything else worked really...

"Really fab. Great place to stay. Clean, warm and very well equipped. Nice touches - the owner left biscuits, chocolates and a personal Christmas card. Recommended However, the property was badly let down by the agent - Sykes who provided poor service. The booking contract was with Hotels but I had to add an account with Sykes who then asked for an additional £13 for the basic booking. I had to spend some time talking and emailing to Sykes / Hotels to get it sorted. Poor set-up by Sykes with...

"Really loved out stay at Little Mell Fell. Great instructions to find it. Set up really well for either a couple or a family of 4. Love that it's pet friendly. Was really clean and felt relatively recently done. The location was great to get around Ullswater and out to the surrounding lakes. "
