The property was perfect for our family Thanksgiving, plenty of open space for everyone to be involved in different activities but close enough to share conversations.The home was very clean, other than an initial bathroom toilet issue, which the property manager took care of fairly quickly. It was very rainy when we arrived and it took awhile for the place to heat up. We had brought our own wood and the woodstove made the biggest and quickest difference in the heat.We enjoyed the proximity to the beach even on some of the wet mornings and were able to star gaze off the back deck.

Great house great location!

Great location, a short walk to the beach. Very quiet & private. Very clean, kitchen is well stocked with top of line utensils etc. The king bed was very comfortable. The towels and linens are fairly new and plentiful. The hot tub was very private and clean. I really have nothing negative to say, it was a really great vacation. We felt very little need to venture out in the car. Would definitely stay again.

Heaven on the Peninsula

The house is amazing! High-end furniture and bedding, a fully stocked kitchen, and an easy access hot tub. Very spacious design so that even if there are multiple guests/couples, each sleeping space is private. The open kitchen and dining/living area make the perfect gathering place for cooking, eating, and hanging out. I love this house and will be back!

Our family of four loved the open floor plan and private setting. The Bloomer Estates staff was a pleasure to work with, check-in and check-out was a breeze. We found a number of nice little touches that you don’t often expect in rentals. Will definitely be back.

K9 Task Force

4 of our Forensic K9 teams came to town to assist pacific county Sheriffs Office with a case. The home was beautifully decorated, landowners made great use of the space, and it was very clean and comfortable! I would stay here again and we likely will if we get more cases with the sheriffs office!

Amazing location!

We absolutely loved the location so close to the beach. The hot tub was wonderful and we enjoyed hanging in the sun on the deck. Nice walk to the beach too. The layout of the house is per. We had three couples and one other adult. We all had our own space for sleeping. It was so great! Thanks for having us.

Awesome stay

We had an awesome time. A lovely home, large, two lofts plus two lower bedrooms. A great kitchen, large and airy. And the kitchen is exceedingly well appointed (even a salad spinner!), loads of dishes, cooking pans, utensils, etc. A very quiet location, secluded private drive to the house, with tons of parking in front of the house. There is also a hot tub in a protected, private area of the deck, with a door out of the kitchen directly to the hot tub. It was wonderful to use the hot tub late at night. The house is located in such a way as to give a small sliver of view of the ocean, but we could hear the ocean surf in the hot tub as the late September storms were starting to roll in from the Pacific. The management company (Bloomer Estates) were great to work with, checking in to make sure everything was ok. Very complete instructions on check in and check out. We will absolutely return to the location, the house was wonderful, there are numerous restaurants and grocery stores available nearby. And it is only a 30 minutes drive to Astoria, OR if you want a change in restaurant.

Long Beach Return

Our folks honeymooned at Long Beach in the late 50s, and as a family, we have vacationed there every year since then... until 2020. They had not been back, and it was time to get them there. We wanted a home where we could all stay together AND have an easy-to-navigate main floor with kitchen, master bedroom, and bath for them. Once we got them up the front porch steps (great handrails), it was smooth sailing! The home is delightful! All spaces are beautiful. The pictures online are spot on. Very comfortable stay. The ONLY thing that could have been better is the ocean view. NO fault of the property, it's all caused by nature. :) Over the years, as the trees, grasses etc have grown, the main floor view is blocked. From the second story, you can still see the ocean. Property management was FANTASTIC. Very responsive to requests, and they checked in several times to make sure all was well. The hot tub had been drained for some repair work, and they were very communicative with when staff was arriving to get it filled and set back up. They could not have been any nicer. All around outstanding time. Would book this particular property again and again.

Lets start with the positives

The house was immaculate & clean. It was really a cute house. Now for the negatives. When we first pulled up to the house it was hard to tell that it was the right house because it didn't look anything like the pictures. The pictures showed direct access to the beach & an ocean view from the upstairs lofts. That wasn't the case. The trees & bushes were so overgrown & unkept that you could barely see the ocean from the lofts. Plus walking down to the ocean you had to walk through overgrown trees & bushes that were filled with briar & thorns. The communication with the management was almost non existence. I had to call them 4 or 5 times to complain on issues that we were having with the stove, kitchen water not getting hot, the screen door that wouldn't latch very well, & the toilets continuously running. I was promised call backs which I never received. Although we weren't happy with the rental, we did have an enjoyable time touring & exploring all that there is to do in Long Beach.

Beautiful and peaceful beach home with second-floor ocean views

This house is beautifully built and decorated, and on a wonderful lot just set back from the beach by a short walking path through the grass-covered dunes. The lot is very private, but reasonably close to town for restaurant and store access. The walk to the beach is between 2 and 3 minutes along a narrow path (a little too narrow to navigate with a stroller or a wagon), along which we saw several bald eagles and other wildlife. The beach itself offers easy vehicle access from Cranberry St just a mile or so down the road, which offers both easy transport of gear and children to the water, but also means other people are driving on the beach with varying levels of courtesy. The two lofts offer the best views and _very_ comfortable beds (I searched for the tags on the mattress toppers as I was eager to buy some for our home, but alas, couldn't find the manufacturer's info). The water pressure for showers is a bit on the low side, not too surprising given that the property is on a septic system with a limit on how much wastewater can be handled in a 24 hour period (despite sleeping 10 guests, four of whom were adults, we never encountered a problem with the septic alarm, so I think the warnings in this regard may be a bit overwrought). The kitchen is both beautifully designed and very-well supplied with the best (All Clad pots, extensive and well-organized utensils and flatware, Keurig coffee, electric kettle, etc. etc.).

Beautiful place but needs upkeep

While we enjoyed our stay at this property with two adults and four kids for 7 days, there were a number of concerns. Everything seems to be high quality and it’s very well decorated but they need to do some serious upkeep. The exterior doors were very difficult to open and close and hard for younger kids to handle. You really had to bang them to close them so it was very loud. The main burner on the stove did not work and the light was not working in the master bedroom and although we brought it to the attention of the manager, they never came and fixed it (you literally had to use a flashlight if you wanted to see in the closet and the sun had set). There were two wall heaters that were broken and the first evening, we could not get the house above 66°. They did come out to fix those but it took a couple trips and needing to be available for them. The biggest issue for us was that all the beautiful deck furniture that is advertised in the photos and description was not available. They said it was put away to get replaced but also isn’t normally available except for summer. This was not made clear on the website. We chose the house largely for the outdoor space and this was a huge disappointment for us. We had a beautiful week of sunny weather and no furniture to sit on outside. The manager and owner were completely unaccomodating and unapologetic and unwilling to give a partial refund for this or the other problems in the house.
