Excelente decisión
Es un hotel pequeñito, con personal muy agradable y atento. En una buena zona, tranquila bien comunicado por bus y underground, al lado del Hyde park. Cuando vuelva a Londres, repetiré con este hotel.

Buena ubicación.
El hotel está bien ubicado. Lo malo es que no tiene elevador y traíamos maletas grandes. Bueno que la habitación del sótano estaba libre y nos la cambiaron. Demasiado chico todo. Para una noche estuvo bien.

Excelente ubicación, habitaciones y desayuno. Demasiadas escaleras si la habitación es en el piso 3 hay que subir 6!!!!

The location was fantastic, good breakfast, the staff was very friendly, and the bed was very comfortable, which for a positive aspect. The negative, the noise I can hear everything from the room next door. The bathroom needs to be up upgraded, The water pressure coming out of the shower was very low, to get hot water you had to leave the water running for a while. My opinion Is a good hotel for one night.

I was looking for a low-cost hotel in this area for an overnight business stay: akk I need is a clean room, a comfortable bed, wifi, tea/coffee facilities and a bathroom. The Parkwood apparently fit the bill. However, the shower was cold, the fan did not work, half the bathroom lights were out and in the room the electric heater was falling off the wall. The property needs a serious make-over. However, the staff were friendly and the breakfast adequate, and the double bed was comfortable for one.

Good area for Middle Eastern food
Located just off Marble Arch, the area is conveniently located for Oxford St and Hyde Park. The area is also abundant for Middle Eastern restaurants. The hotel is perfectly functional. Rooms are a reasonable size, and the bathroom (walk-in shower) wasn't too cramped. (Worth a check because it looked like some rooms weren't ensuite). However, everything is very tired looking and repair jobs have been done on the cheap, which makes the place look somewhat rough. Check-in was smooth, though I was surprised to be called at about 5pm to be asked when I was planning on arriving (very politely). If I had a real grumble, it would be the creaky floorboard, which means you hear everything from the room above, and you become very conscious that you are doing the same. I didn't have breakfast. I was there for work, and it was fine for that, but it ihotels not a location for a romantic escape. The hotel is not disability friendly, stairs into the hotel, and has no lift.

Für mich war das Hotel Ideal. Ein typisch, kleines, im englischen Stil gehaltenes, gemütliches Hotel mit typisch englischem Frühstück.Ein super ausgangspunkt für alle Touren in der Stadt und super zu erreichen z.B. vom Flughafen Heathrow .

Recommended for short stay in convenient location
Convenient one night stay near Hyde Park and Paddington. Friendly and accommodating staff, able to leave our luggage and head off. Room basic but clean and fine with small ensuite and tea and coffee facilities. Included breakfast was very good with wide choice. Underground and shops just short walk away. Small issue with our TV but otherwise would definitely recommend.

This is a great little no-frills hotel that is quite charming in a brilliant location, friendly and helpful staff, and a great breakfast to start the day. Room was small but the beds were good and it was very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Litet enkelt prisvärt hotell nära Oxford Street
Ett litet hotell, prisvärt med bra läge nära Oxford Street. Små rum med heltäckningsmatta och handfatet i rummet (ej i badrummet) men bra förutsättningar för förvaring av kläder. Väldigt hårda sängar (eller om det var monterad soffa?) Till frukost fanns bara engelsk frukost som kompletterades med yoghurt. Upplevde inte hotellet lyhört men sämre ventilation i rummen. Tillgång till nätverk och förvaring av väskor var i receptionen.

Enkelt Hotel på bra läge
Läget är jättebra, nära Marble Archicad. Nära till bussar, sightseeinbussar och Underground, tog bara ett par minuter att gå till Oxford Street. Frukosten var bra, blev serverad vid bordet. Bacon och ägg och toast åt vi varje dag. Frukostmatsalen är belägen i källaren. Det finns ingen hiss på hotellet, endast trappor att gå i. Städningen var bra inget att klaga på.

Alt var feilt. Kommer aldri tilbake her og vil heller ikke anbefale det til andre. Bratte trapper. Ikke heis. Generelt nedslitt. Trekkfulle vinduer, trangt rom, ikke en stol å sitte på. Badet var FORFERDELIG! Døren gikk ikke helt opp, toalettet var i veien. Forferdelig nedslitt med sprekker i fliser og fuger. Ba om å få oppgradere rommet, men det innebar at vi måtte enda høyere opp i huset. 51 trappetrinn fra resepsjonen og opp var mer enn nok. Eller vi kunne få et rom under bakkeplan Aldri mer tilbake her.

Pay a little more and avoid this place
The best part about this stay was the location. Perfect for Hyde park, which is what we wanted. The price was reasonable but you really do get what you pay for as the room was really poorly maintained, the communal areas had a horrible smell, the beds were comfy but there were stains on the throw and throw pillows which had all seen better days and need to be thrown immediately!! It was just about doable for an overnight stay, would I return? Sadly not. I can appreciate budget accommodation but this needs a lot of love and maintenance and repairs. It’s like the hotel that time forgot! Budget should still mean clean. Also message for owners.. the tap in bedroom sink area is wrong way round and needs sorting for safety urgently!!

Une adresse à retenir ! Accueil parfait ainsi que le service lors du petit déjeuner j'avais l'impression d'être dans une chambre d'hote plutôt que dans un hotel :) l'emplacement parfait à 2 mn de Hyde park & du métro Marble arch, un petit déjeuner copieux avec du choix, une chambre spacieuse avec la possibilité de se faire un café ou du thé. Le seul bémol mais perso cela ne m'a pas dérangée est que difficile de suivre un programme sur la TV la connexion est mauvaise l'image est souvent figée. Le wifi est correct.

OK for concert stopover
Staff friendly, old hotel, looking tired and rooms very hot. Had to leave windows open all night just for air. Breakfast was good and helpful to be able to leave bags for later pick up. It's OK for one or two night stop

Second stay at this hotel
Host Shelia was very accomodating to give us a quick orientation to London attractions and eating places. This old hotel could use some reconditioning. The chief asset of this place is its fine location near the Marble Arch. This provides an easy landmark and quick access to the HopOn and HopOff buses. Our stay was good. The full breakfast gets you off to a great start for a fair price.

Parkwood at Marble Arch is rich in history. The building is old, but fairly well maintained. The room we had was quaint, clean, comfortable mattresses. If you're looking for pristine and new, this is not your place. If you're looking for a place steeped in history with amazing English breakfasts and friendly staff, then Parkwood is your place!

Läget är allt! Resten är inte värt det. Personalen jättetrevlig! Men det går inte att kompensera för ett ofräscht, äldre och dragigt hus. Rummet dåligt ostädat. Kraftigt drag från fönstret. Elementet ur funktion hela första natten. Och vi förväntades använda en fristående, ljudlig värmefläkt hela tiden. Vi sov ändå i underställ pga draget från fönstret. Obekväm säng. Lyhört mellan rummen. Charmigt med engelsk frukost som lagas på beställning. Men de ville aldrig acceptera att vi inte ville ha en ”full English” varje morgon. Vi kommer tyvärr inte att jag åka tillbaka.

Very friendly team, central location. Great breakfast Rooms basic but very clean and have everything you need, including tea/coffee facilities. Very accommodating in allowing you to leave your luggage in lounge if you have a late flight.

I am very sorry the guest did not enjoy his stay, I am a little suprised as just after lockdown the hotel had new carpet fitted throughout the hotel, the room was decorated last year , the furniture is 4 years old and maybe the room can be modernised which we will look into but it does have a lot of character which our guest love. Te building is old as its a Victorian house , I noticed that the guest did not seem happy when he arrived and maybe a larger more upmarket hotel would have suited the guest., again i am sorry that we have lost a customer as many of our customers are returning guests..
