  • Relax, stargaze, or spend some quality time out by the campfire with family and friends. 10 minutes down the road, guests will find Lake Logan which offers an abundance of relaxation by the water. Take a 15-20 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!

    The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Logan or Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.

What a beautiful cabin! It was insanely secluded yet close to everything you needed. We loved how the hikes were easy to get to, but we were super close to dining options and stores.Other reviews mentioned some uncomfortable furniture but the living room furniture has been replaced since the photos were taken! It was super comfy. Overall, zero complaints!

The Prairie Rose Cabin was an excellent choice for our stay. Cabin was clean and a perfect private getaway for us and our two dogs, Teddy and Trixie. Local hiking trails with beautiful scenery was a great way to relax and get some much needed relaxation from the hustle and bustle from the cities.We are looking forward to coming back to enjoy the areas treasures. PS the hot tub was a great way to relax our muscles after hacking.

The host was very easy to communicate with, although I wonder how it would have been if we had called after hours. A few things in the cabin definitely need to be replaced because they are falling apart. The door leading to the hot tub room is one example. The rooms were relatively clean. We could have used a few more wash cloths. Hot tub and shower were great and the outdoors is beautiful!

Our Getaway

Very nice little cabin, close to what we wanted to do and see, loved the deck and spent a lot of time out there listening to nature. Very nice and relaxing stay, we look forward to going again.

I was very pleased with our cabin. Even though I read some reviews that made me question my decision. The hot tub was fine. The driveway was no problem and the WiFi was good.

So cute and cozy. Communication was easy. The place was well heated. Great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. I had many cups of tea and enjoyed the view.

The cabin needs a complete overhaul. It should be shut down for a very, very deep cleaning. Microwave was not cleaned, sliders didn't work, screens ripped, very uncomfortable mattress, no storage/closet for clothes, floor was unswept under the cabinets, dust bunnies under the bed, bathtub and bathroom sink did not drain properly, lamp shades/lamps very dusty, didn't turn ceiling fans on because there is so much dust on the blades and the slider door tracks are filthy. We did appreciate the good, hot water and conveniently located to Logan.

Great Experience

We loved the cabin and where it was located. We enjoyed that it was close to all the hiking trails. We especially loved the hot tub!

WiFi is spotty, but works for a getaway where you mostly want to unplug. Plenty of peace and quiet and close to shopping, groceries, and restaurants. A short/quick drive to all Hocking Hills sights.

The cabin served our purpose well for exploring and hiking in the Hocking Hills State Park area, which is beautiful. We enjoyed a couple of campfires and enjoyed the privacy of the cabin's location.
