Newer build with a cool theme. The only major issue we encountered was a defective propane tank which was swapped out in short order. The winter weather proved to be cold in the basement areas. A dual zone thermostat would be helpful to regulate the basement temperature independently of the upstairs. The water pressure seemed to be lacking throughout the house and might need an adjustment. House keeping needs to be bumped up a few notches as the house wasn't as clean as we would have liked upon arrival. The basement stairs needed vacuumed and the whole basement needed a freshing up. I think the pet friendly aspect caused the basement to accumulate a some pet odor. Having access to a washing machine was a great feature. However it was over stuffed with towels upon our arrival that needed rewashed. All in all we enjoyed our stay. If the few issues mentioned above are addressed it would have been a 5 star stay. Everything was amazing! Only thing that could make it better would be better instructions on how to find it. Apple Maps and Google Maps take you to two different locations. Google is correct.

We absolutely loved staying at this home. There was plenty of room and privacy for everyone! Everything you would need for the comforts of home was provided. We come to Hocking Hills every year, sometimes twice a year and we will definitely rent this property again!

Wow! What a beautiful and very clean property! Everything you need is in this house! Shampoo, conditioner, & bodywash in all of the bathrooms and a hairdryer! Every bathroom was stocked with toilet paper and towels. Beach towels also. Nice bedding, pillows and extra blankets. Tvs in every room! Great washer/dryer! Everything and more in the kitchen to cook a wonderful meal! The speakeasy was really cool! We had a family game night down there and had a blast! Loved the hanging chairs outside on the back porch. The firepit was great to sit around everynight! Stargazing is a 10! Not too far from all of the amazing sights! Maybe about 15-20 minute drive. These were the challeges that we had: Getting one of our vehicles up the driveway (front wheel drive). I would suggest coming in an all wheel drive car. The hot tub was nice, but the PH balance was off a bit. The grill was only working on one side. There was one broken chair at the firefit. No cleaning spray for kitchen cleaup(they brought us some). Sound wasn't working on video game. The hot water went out twice(they came to fix). Low shower pressure, but that's from it being well water. Just minor stuff. Still a five star place! I would definitely recommend and stay here again! The owners were very nice an accommodating!

We had a wonderful stay at the Luxurious Speakeasy Lodge. The property was exactly as listed: spacious, unique, and very well-stocked.There were a couple of things worth noting for future guests:•Driveway: The driveway is steep, unpaved, and uneven in spots. Most of our group had all-wheel drive vehicles and got up without issue, but one couple with a front-wheel drive vehicle struggled. Something to keep in mind when planning your trip.•Hot Water: We experienced issues with both hot water heaters during our stay. The one servicing the bathrooms needed to be reset several times to avoid cold showers.•Firewood: Firewood is not provided, so you’ll want to either bring your own or pick some up at one of the many roadside stands throughout the Hocking Hills area.That said, the property manager was extremely responsive and helpful, quickly assisting us whenever an issue came up.Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would recommend this property for anyone looking for a fun and unique stay near Hocking Hills. We’ll be looking to come back again next year!

Nice place! We had so much fun. I love the decor of the house. If you build this house somewhere else vacationy I would rent it elsewhere. I plan on returning to this place. Had a hard time finding the place the first day. Cell phone reception crapped out. We had so much fun posing in front of the black and white print on the wall in the speakeasy. So bring a tripod and dress in black and white yourself and you’re part of the picture!

Check in was very easy. The kitchen was well equipped. Wi Fi worked well. The driveway is terrible. Many ruts in the gravel and a very steep slope. One car was unable to get up the driveway. Douglas was quick to respond to issues at the house. He was a bit testy when it came to the driveway. If everyone is able to potentially climb a steep driveway it is a wonderful place to stay.

House is really nice. 4 bedrooms with king size beds and private bathrooms is a plus. My only critic is the water pressure isn’t the best which I am assuming is the well. We ran out of hot water a few times. Need more dish towels in the kitchen and some work on the driveway. I would stay here again. Speak Easy room is really cool.

Thank you for a fantastic stay!We can’t say enough great things about the Speakeasy Lodge! It is beautiful and very stylish. We were very impressed by the furnishings and decor. The lodge is very clean and well kept, and very well stocked with any amenity you could possibly need for a weekend getaway. The surrounding property is idyllic, very calm and serene. And the Speakeasy made for a fun place for game night!Thank you again for everything. We will definitely be back soon!Happy 4th!The Werths and The Roushs

We had our family Chrismas here as the locationis a midway point between us It was the perfect place. We all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms a great size and layout. There is plenty of space to either hang out or have some alone time. We hope to go there again next Chrismas as well!

Family gathering

The cabin was beautiful and well kept. The landscaping and views were fantastic. We loved the four large bedrooms with each having their own attached bathrooms. We were able to gather in several large areas that the cabin offers both inside and out. The only negative was the steep, rough driveway, although we all were able to manage. Our family would definitely choose a return visit to the Speakeasy.

A weekend experience

The house was just beautiful and had everything we needed. There was a power outage on Friday night till Saturday candles, flashlights or battery operated lights would of been nice. We had a hard time getting up the driveway it was so steep and the gravel made your tires spin. Overall we had a great time with family and friends.

Great place, not the best experience this time

First, this place is great. Bottom line it’s ideal in location, bedroom and bathroom size. Gas grill which is awesome for us. Mostly secluded, lots of great features. Bad part: bed sheets were clearly not changed in several bedrooms. I can’t think of anything worse when renting. Good- sent a message, got a quick reply and new sheets the next day. Not great- had to wash new sheets first, not something I wanted do do while on a vacation. Also not great- never did get a simple “sorry”. Howeva! Would stay here again, but definitely checking sheets first.

Great spot for a girls trip!

We loved the luxurious speakeasy for our annual girls trip! A short drive from all of the attractions of Hocking Hills but quiet and secluded for some peaceful relaxation. The house is fabulous and we loved having 4 bedrooms with en suites for each, it really gave us space to spread out and call our own after long days/evenings of girl time. The speakeasy room was cute and a lot of fun to find and spend time in playing cards! The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. The smell of well water is not ideal but you get used to it. The driveway is an adventure - the note in the listing about 4 wheel drive is not a joke, take that seriously. The only issue we had was a storm that rolled through and knocked out the power. There were no flashlights or candles so we used our cell phone flashlights for a while and made the 20 minutes trek to Walmart to pick some up. The owner was responsive once we were able to get a signal to contact him. Note that the internet is great, wifi never failed us (while there was power) but cell service was spotty. The outage lasted a couple of hours but knocked out some breakers which were a bit hidden. We worked with the property manager Brandon who was great - even if a buckeye fan - and got things squared away to enjoy our last night. All in all, it was a great trip and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Girls Trip

We were delighted with this cabin, which we booked for a long weekend girls trip. It offered everything required for a pleasant stay. The screen-in porch was a charming spot for morning coffee, while the fire pit was perfect for evening relaxation with a cold adult beverage. the beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the decorating was impeccable. I would recommend that prospective renters ensure their vehicle is all wheel or four wheel drive, as the driveway is steep. My all wheel drive charger handled it with ease.

Family Vacation

What an awesome property! My siblings and spouses spent 4 days in Hocking Hills and this house had everything we needed. Everyone loved their own king beds and ensuite bathrooms. The communal areas were very comfortable and the kitchen was nice and big. The hot tub and deck were used everyday. Just a couple cons, if you plan on cooking, the pots and pans are not great. There seemed to be some basics missing. Also, there were only two dish towels, so either bring some of your own or be prepared to go thru a lot of paper towel (which we also brought from home). Overall, the house was great and communication with the manager was super quick. p.s. that driveway is intense, I don't know if a car without 4x4 or all wheel drive would be able to get up to the house
