Wonderful location and house. Thoughtfully set up. Each room looks out onto mountains and land with wildlife, so even the grey days are interesting. Would definitely stay there again.

What a wonderful Walden world!

As has been said before, the photos don't do Walden justice. The place is just so amazing! From the moment you drive in to the private and secluded property, you feel a sense of calm. The house itself is a wonder - from the fully stocked pantry to the spectacular views, particularly from the main bathroom! There are books aplenty, a great collection of music, regular visits from the local wombats and wallabies, and lots of different spaces for people to chill. But most of all there are those views of Mt Strzelecki and the close proximity of Trousers Point, which was a wonderful place for a swim or two. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Beyond our expectations

Walden is a simply stunning property settled into a spectacular location of the Strzelecki Ranges. The photos on the website can't do it justice as it's impossible to photograph the gravitas and wonder of place, inside and out. The ambiance of the home shines through and it was both warm and sophisticated. The views are extraordinary through the cathedral windows and the wooden features give it great charm. The abundance of wildlife and scenery made this holiday a very special one for all 4 of us. There was nothing about this home that has been forgotten. A fully stocked kitchen and additional pantry items, unparalleled main bedroom and bathroom views, comfy furniture, a great music selection and a fabulous library meant it was hard to leave the house. Dragging ourselves away from these delights, we had many walks to several beaches close by in the National Park and the two hardiest of our party had a very satisfying full day's climb up to Mt Strzelecki. Night time gave us the chance to see wombats, Pademelons and Bennett's wallabies by torchlight. Flinders Island charmed us and we are planning to return in the near future. Thank you for a holiday of a lifetime.

The best of every thing. Swimming, fishing, walking, running, relaxing, reading and the wild life. We loved everything about Walden and Flinders Island. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfy.

The property was above expectations. The view of Mt Strzelecki was fantastic. 5 minute walk from Trousers Pt beach was convenient. Great place to swim, walk and look for shells. 15 or so minutes in the car from Whitemark. The wildlife was abundant. The house was very cosy. Top spot

Senstional Trousers Point

We loved our stay at Walden @ Trousers Point & feel we landed in the best location in the best house! Not too far from town. Incredible views of the mountain (Could think you're in NZ!) And short stroll to incredible beaches. Love all the animals. House so welcoming and cosy with provisions to share & great fire wood. Just felt the second main bed could have been better. (Noisy on old base & better mattress). Overall LOVED this house with books & games and hope to be back soon.

A wonderful property at the bottom of the mountains. Fabulous views. House was amazing with everything you ever needed for an enjoyable stay. Cannot recommend it enough and would not hesitate to stay again when we come again.
