The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. "A month living as Ticos in the Casa Amarilla - great people, beautiful location and reasonable price. We would recommend it for anyone looking for a long term rental in a quiet small town near La Fortuna. There are a multitude of entertainment activities in the area. "The people running it were so nice and extremely helpful. We got set up with a guide to take us on a hike to a spectacular waterfall, and were told of other places of interest. The food was delivered hot to the house and was plentiful and good. It was odd that in the very well stocked kitchen, there was no silverware. We don’t know if there was no hot water or if we didn’t figure out how to use it. Some outside chairs would have been nice "

"Beautiful home and property. We were cared for very well by Rod and Tanya. I’ve been to Costa Rica several times and I have never seen so many Toucans! The only drawback was the last couple miles of road leading to the property was pretty rough. Thanks for everything!"

"The property is beautifully situated, comfortable and has everything one needs for a stay. The owners live on site and are very attentive and kind but not intrusive. It was well placed for exploring the Arenal area but be aware that the road from Nuevo Arenal is extremely pot holded and the 8 km takes 35 minutes to drive."

"Great stay at this wonderful accommodation property in La Fortuna. Days when it was raining or when clouds were over the Arenal Volcano, it was great to just sit on the back terrace and just observe all of the wildlife that come by. There is also a restaurant nearby (cost on the higher end, but worth it) for when you don't feel like driving into town. All three bedrooms were comfortable enough and did the trick for a few nights' stay!"

"This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. "The owner was very responsive and helpful. He gave us advice on restaurants things to do in the area and how to get places. Everything he recommended was the best and spot on. "What an amazing house! The views of Arenal are so breathtaking that it’s hard to capture in words. The house is stunning and is fully equipped with high end touches. Fresh flowers were in the kitchen and bathroom making it feel like a luxury hotel. The host took great care to get us situated and is so kind that we felt comfortable from the start. It’s a spectacular property and was truly a place we will never forget."

"Buen hotel para unas vacaciones relajantes, tienen una pequeña piscina y 2 jacuzzi con agua caliente, que con la piscina enorme de agua normal que ademas tiene un bar, grandes detalles que se unen a una habitación con buenas camas. Y el servicio del restaurante excelente, desayuno muy variado y rico. "
