We booked this place last minute for my husband’s birthday and loved every minute! The house resides in a gated community, which is fantastic. The huge corner lot with a dock has the lake on two sides—perfect for fishing and paddleboarding. Tons of space inside and outside, lots of seating, plenty of parking, comfy beds, and great bathrooms (loved the gorgeous tub in the main bath). The coffee and wine waiting for us in the kitchen was such a nice touch. Worth every penny—we’ll definitely be back!

Cozy and comfortable

A good fit for our growing family (5 2 SILs). Everyone had their own space and the dining room was perfect for game nights. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking. Great weekend get away for us.

Probably one of the best rentals we've ever stayed at. It's even prettier than the pictures and very well stocked. The owners are also really responsive to inquiries as things come up. Thanks for a great stay!

Our time at the home was wonderful, the groundskeeper was amazing with assisting us with wood and the fireplace. What a wonderful stay we had so quiet and clean we definitely will be returning.

Family gathering ages 5-87

Our whole family really enjoyed our stay.The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The decor was nice, with festive touches of Christmas! The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots/pans, cooking tools, and dishes.We enjoyed use of kayaks and fire pit. We took advantage of the area’s great walking trails.

Weekend escape, close to home!

As can happen, an issue arose with the house but Al &Joy were extremely responsive to resolve the problem! Our family had a great stay at their lovely property. We loved sitting by the fire pit and tooling around the lake on the kayaks. Perfect place for a multi-generational getaway.

Comfortable location

We enjoyed our stay. The property was nice, quiet area. Kitchen needs an upgrade but the bedrooms were large and comfortable. Suggest a ceiling fan in dining room as it got real warm. Otherwise it was nice and would stay again.

Loved our trip

We took our family of 7 plus my parents. We all fit comfortably in the home. We had a blast fishing from the bulkhead. The kids loved kayaking as well. We will definitely return!

Much needed get away.

My wife and I visited from the Houston area. The drive to the house was easy. The house and the location are beautiful. Great views of the water, fishing, and nearby hikes. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We will definitely rent this property again.

New Years Family trip

Our family of 7 people stayed 3 nights to welcome the new year 2024. The property was beautiful. We spend most of the time outdoors using the large fire pit and comfortable seating areas. The interior of the house was cute, cozy and inviting. We loved the huge windows in the bedrooms and living room giving us amazing views of all the trees and lake in the backyard. The beds were comfortable and plenty of warm soft blankets during the cold evenings. The hosts were communicative during the booking process and Jack ( person living on property grounds ) was super attentive when needed, very personable and always respectful of our privacy. We really enjoyed our time here and we would love to come back again soon.

Peaceful escape

Stayed here for Christmas with the family and had a wonderful time. The place was just as we expected. Nicely decorated lake house and even had a decorated Christmas tree. No complaints at all. We also enjoyed our time fishing.

Great birthday celebration

Gathered to celebrate a 70th birthday. We used the outdoor grill and kitchen a lot. The backyard was a great gathering place and the kayaks were used a lot. Enjoyed our time there.

Fantastic Getaway!

This home is beautifully updated and the pictures do not do it justice. The neighborhood is very quiet and is private. We enjoyed swimming during the day (there’s a lake ladder) and making s’mores at night on the fire pit. The property has beautiful trees and they provide plenty of shade as well. The beds are very comfortable and kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped w everything we needed. Jack was great and let us know we could reach out to him if we needed anything. Also Joy is very easy to reach and provided us with restaurant recommendations since we were new to the area. Definitely recommend this place and we cannot wait to go back!

Lakeside Oasis

The house and property are as described. Enjoyed our stay immensely!! Would love to book again in the fall!!! On site caretaker was very helpful. You’re the best Jack! Highly recommend! Only Con …. Was no swim ladder for kids!

Just as Advertised

This property was just as expected and did not disappoint. It was clean and comfortable (comfortable beds and pillows) and the owner was very responsive to all communication. It comfortably slept our family of 8. The yard and lake were nice but because we were there in July during a heat wave (and we are from the northeast!) we did not spend much time outdoors. The only negative was that the entryway and the bathroom near it did not really cool off much because of being so close to the front door (and maybe there were no AC vents out there-?) so we did not use that bathroom for showers because it was too warm. There are two other full bathroom however so it was not a big problem. I would recommend this rental for a family with older children (ages 4 - 6 and up) because there is no tub (all showers are stall) so no tub baths for little ones.
