So after reading the bad reviews and seeing the bad pictures we weren’t looking forward to arriving. But I can honestly say we were pleasantly surprised, we arrived late due to my partner finishing work late but a quick phone call on our arrival and the hotel manager came down to check us in. He was extremely helpful and gave us all the information we needed and sorted the car parking out :) the room was perfect very clean brand new towels, heating on which made it cozy the bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing!! I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again thank you for a lovely stay!!

Our room was comfortable and well presented, check in was easy and welcoming. The hotel was easy to find and in a great location right by the park and a short stroll from Lark Lane. A few minor DIY jobs need seeing to in the room and bathroom which do not impact the function of the room but make it feel a little run down- things like light a light bulb needing replacing, some skirting board coming away in the bathroom, and redundant fixtures from when hand soap used to be supplied in bottles fixed to the wall etc. The TV is a bit difficult to see from the bed because the fancy bed frame is in the way! Overall, this is a fairly affordable place to stay, with a bit of a 'faded glory' vibe on the outside. We may well return next time we stay in the area.

we initially got the wrong room, however it was still a nice LOOKING room so it was not really a problem. However, the room was ice cold which was very quickly fixed with a heater by the amazing staff. Although, the shower leaked all over the floor which me and my partner had to clean, there was about 10 ladybugs in the room with us so a possible infestation, the bed was shaky and creaky, the room wasn't labelled and took about 20 mins to find due to this and there was an open closet in the bathroom which exposed loose wires and a boiler which seems dangrous to me. One staff member, who we where waiting for, did enter the room without knocking, which did unsettle me a little. Overall, nice LOOKING hotel with reasonably compitent and lovely staff but terrible conditions. I hope the ladybugs enjoyed their heated stay out of the cold though, especially the one which attacked my partner while eating

On arrival no one at reception. Then greeting by a child. I was told when I booked the room that they would make sure there was additional bed. I wanted to leave my bags I. The room. The kid said that would be an additional £25. So we left the bags for free in another room. The hotel had a bad smell. Upon entering the room it looked nothing like the advertised room. It was dirty. Uncomfortable bed. Rust and overall unpleasant. Instead of a key card or a key for the room they give you a 9 digit code to enter the room. Painful. Only good thing about the hotel was in a good location. I should have stayed in a youth hostel. For that price. Would have been been better value. I do not recommend.

The look of the place was totally neglected front door wide open had to ring a number totally no trust in the place was asked to wait for him to check the room before it's president to me that's when I left the place totally disappointed with my experience at this so called hotel

Personalet og ejere var meget venlige og nemme at tage kontakt til. Park lige uden for hotellet. Parkerings plads var god og nemt at blive hentet eller afleveret med Uber.

Me and my partner checked in on friday at 8pm to find out weve got no electric in our room or any of the corridors too so had to use a torch to find our way around . We payed for a luxurious room which was £200 a night ,ive seen better hostels in all fairness. We had to fill the kettle up in the bath as it wouldn't fit in the sink ,no one came around to make the beds ,replace coffee or sugar milk ect ect . There was a horrible smell of damp everywhere, the blinds to the windows didnt work so we was open for everyone to see us The curtains was non existence and the rails was hanging of the walls too . When we left the was a puddle on the floor in the bar area about 2 metres across, no one was cleaning it up and no signs saying wet floor so it was very hazardous indeed . We herd other people leaving saying wip your feet on the way out so im guessing everyone staying there had the same experiences. Very very very unhappy indeed .would avoid this place like a plague. 1 star is being to nice to give

Overall very good. Shared a room with 5 adults making it £55 for two nights each. Very friendly manager. Room was clean and had a small selection of teas, coffees and soaps. Codes on the doors with 24/7 access for night outs.

The reception staff were friendly. Reception very small and were given a contact number if there were any problems, as I dont think they have some one in reception all the time. Hotel in need of updating and very tired. However, rooms were clean, ,beds comfy, room warm. Was quiet, so slept well. Basic, but fine for what we needed. Shower was hot,and they provided everything you need for an over night stay. Didnt have breakfast as meeting friends at local cafe so cant comment on that.

The hotel was probably once good but is in a state of disrepair. The lift doesn’t work and the stairs identification is written with a sharpie with a significant smell of damp. Our bathroom smelt of cigarette s, the shower didn’t work and the tv had no remote. The pipes made a massive noise when the heating kicked in

I arrived in the dark after driving in heavy traffic for 6 hours. I did not notice the parking signs, so failed to pay in advance and the website wouldn't let me pay in the morning. This ruined the trip as I now expect a big bill. Window in the room wouldn't open, so very worrying if there was a fire.

The staff were very friendly on check in. However the warren of doors and corridors to my room, no dead lock on my door and comings and goings left me feeling unsafe in my room. I wouldn’t recommend this for single female travellers.

It is sad to see what was clearly once a good-quality hotel so run down. There was no staffing at the reception desk (though the phone was picked up promptly), an inoperative lift leading to guests being taken up the (very unclean and dilapidated) back stairs to their rooms, and poor or non-existent communication both in terms of signage within the building and information about services available (as far as I could tell, there were none). All for the princely sum of £240 per night. The staff I did see were very helpful and friendly, but the operation as a whole does need some serious attention.
